[Q] CyanogenMod 7 incoming call error - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, I have an problem with incoming call's.
When someone try's to call me for them the line always is busy although It's not.
I can freely call everyone, sms works for both directions, but no one can call me, no matter from what phone or operator people call me, It's always busy. What problem could there be?

Anyone?

As no one else has responded ill put my 2 in..I was having same prob using cm7 on a wildfire a year or two ago.
Ppp would complain they couldn't get hold of me, wasn't getting missed call notifications. Would rcv calls as normal most of the time.
Flashed a different Rom and was ok.

Unable to send SMS message

Frequently I am unable to send SMS messages and it repeats the alert in the notification bar, but a lot of the time the recipients still receive it, multiple times. Has anyone else had this problem?
I've had the same thing happening 3-4 times of a few hundred sent messages since I got my Desire three weeks ago. Haven't got any explanation though, but it's happened to me while roaming and/or in areas with poor coverage. I've also experienced that a couple messages sent to me, never got here. Can make a man paranoid
I've got a stock, unbranded Desire in Norway for the record.

Text messages being sent but not being recieved by contacts

All of my SMS and MMS messages seem to be sending out fine as I recieve no "unable to send" errors, but my contacts are not always recieving my messages. This seems to be happening more often lately, and affects MMS more than SMS. I am not sure if this problem has to do with signal strength as my phone usually shows 2 to 4 bars, but sometimes drops to 1 or 0 bars and then goes back up again. Could something be wrong with my antennae? Perhaps when I am sending out the messages that are not recieved, my signal strength is bouncing around but not being updated graphically on the phone, and the messages are "lost" in the system or not being sent out at all?
This also seems to affect some of my contacts more than others, so maybe it also has to do with their signal strength, although I have not heard of them complaining about their text message not being recieved by their contacts or not recieving messages (except from me). I always thought if you could not recieve a text message because of a bad connection, it would be recieved when your connection was finally good.
Anyone else experiencing this problem? Seeing all my messages sent out fine but not knowing if they are being recieved makes communication via text message rather stressful.
Thanks
What about receiving? I have a friend that keeps missing MMS I send but I always get hers. It's really frustrating.

My brother has T-Mobile (we on family plan) and my sister in law has Verizon and they both didnt get my MMS message, as well as my neice on Mobi.
Update: I sent a message today to my brother and he got the message and all the other ones that I sent but he did not recieve. I also instantly got a MMS message he sent a few days ago. I am not sure if my messages were stuck in the T-Mobile system itself, or my message today triggered my phone or the system to send the rest. Perhaps there is an issue with the tower located two block from my house?
Tmobile issue dude . I almost broke up :-/

Yea I had a pic from Thursday show up on Saturday.
Can you do me a favor? Check your call log. I hadn't mad any calls in the last few days but I had like 80 in the logs. They were both incoming and outgoing and all said "cancelled". I'm wondering if it's cause of all the failed texts...
I have to say this pisses me off because some of my contacts periodically don't receive my messages. Very frustrating especially when it happens mid conversation and then you wait days thinking that the other person is ignoring and vice versa. It's making me seriously consider switching phones.

Me too had been having this issue lately.
I see it as the sandy effect here on the east coast. has been improving slowly though.

My call logs is displaying all of my incoming and outgoing calls correctly. I have not had any issues recently with messages not being recieved by my contacts either, so prehaps the JB update fixed something? I am not sure if it is T-Mobile or the closest tower either because others on T-Mobile in my area have not experienced this problem (or perhaps not enough to notice anything). I will monitor signal strength and double check with my contacts if they are recieving my messages.
Weird.. I can't figure out the call log thing cuz I have incoming calls that say cancelled. It spent really make sense. I thought it must be related to the texts being goofy.
The problem with the call log is that it doesn't really show what we want. How? How would you know if you didn't get someone's text unless they told you? Or what if your phone says it sent the message but the other person didn't get it? What gives? The phone always sends the text but the recipient doesn't always receive it. That's why I used to use delivery reports but on this phone they're too annoying and the system is poorly implemented compared to stock Android (which has the best implementation) or even HTC Sense.

Getting a random number when someone calls?

Whenever someone calls me I get a call from a completely random number. Once I answer, there's no one on the other end. I'm running myrom but doubt it has anything to do with it because it hasn't really happened before. I have been running the same version for about two weeks. Im thinking it might be a tmobile issue? Is it happening to anyone else? If it helps I'm in Miami
Happened to me and my wife, like few weeks ago, random calls, random numbers, like almost every 5 minutes.
Called Tmobile, they said it's a known issue, some people reported the same thing, they said they still investigating what might cause it and told me to call again the next day, but the problem went away that same night, so I didnt call them back.
It happened to me last night for about 3 hrs, its now working correctly.
So let me get this straight?... out of nowhere, for "x" amount of time, your phones just starts receiving random calls every few minutes?
Lol I got a random call the other day (strangely enough, it was within minutes of geetting off a call)...never anything more but hey, atleast it was from a sexy sounding chick !!!

Those random calls are not the same as wrong number calls, it's like they're not completely connected calls. So it's either go straight to missed calls, or when you pick up, no one is answering. The phone area codes are so random.
Very interesting, glad I read this. I started getting a ton of random / bizarre calls which I rarely answered. I changed my # when I got my Note 2 and switched from ATT to TMo, and assumed that they were spam telemarketers or something, as I didn't think to register my new number on the "Do Not Call" registry until this started. I was sick of all these BS calls and it takes a month for the do not call registration to kick in, so I installed Call Control (which I think is a pretty solid app) and the calls pretty much stopped. I activated the pro version trial included in the app, and was thinking about paying to keep it going, but having learned that it's at least partially a known TMo issue, I think sticking with the lite/free version of the app will suffice. Anyways, thanks for posting and saving me some coin
Read the permissions that ir apps have before installing em, i install an amazon free app of the day ince, and i started getting random calls from Nevada. Try googling the number you get and ull find out more info. I just put that number into the blick list on the phones settings, never happened since.

The more these apps require permissions we shoot ourselves in the foot. Time to uninstall a lot

Can you text? Can you text yourself? Have you rebooted the phone? What signal strength does the phone have? I have had no problems with mine on T-Mobile. Phone service is mostly a a matter of the Cell Tower recognizing your SIM card. Might need to open a support call with T-Mobile.
I can text call ppl get on the net pic message but no one can call me but I called T-Mobile 5 times and they got the message lol hopefully fixed soon

I can ring out fine and i can receive calls fine on another handset with that sim card.

I know that I'm replying on over a year old thread, but I'd like to thank you. You helped me to figure out exactly the same issue I was facing. And want to add that you don't have to uninstall the AVL, just disable call blocking feature in its settings. This worked for me.

Galaxy Note 4 Not Recieving Calls since 5.1.1 Update.

Does anyone have any idea why all of a sudden my brand new note 4 with bell will not receive texts or phones calls?.
If you call the phone it rings twice then goes to voicemail but doesn't show up on the phone that a call has come to it.. all of a sudden there is a voice mail. . If the phone is rebooted eventually the text messages come through all once.. if anyone could help shed some light on this problem it would be greatly appreciated.. thank you..
