Hi all,
can anyone help to explain how to back to stock rom like first purchase condition after using this ? as i bought this used hox already rooted with leedroid.
i want to compare original condition first before do rooting. cos when do charging in turn-off condition, it'll turn-on by itself twice (i turn it of twice too as i prefer to charge battery while phone shutdown)
the seller cant help as he got it from others too.
and also how to know my hox is TW, HK etc version ?
Please help.
thanks
ps: got how to lock to early condition, but dont how to find out which RUU is mine as i dont know from where it's being purchased.
what i can inform are:
- S-ON
- HBOOT: 0.96.0000
-baseband: 1.1204.105.14
-build number: 1.29.707.11 (from fastboot getvar version-main cmd)
not sure if above will change if rooted and installed custom rom.
There are a few posts, but since I just did this here goes.
1. Find out your CID from fastbooto commands.
2. Download correct ruu for CID
3. Relock bootloader via fastboot
4. Load ruu while in fastboot

If you have unlocked via HTCDev the this would have removed your CID in which case yes you should be able to flash the WWE RUU on a branded device.
If you have not unlocked and are still running stock then no it wont work.
Does HTCDev unlock remove CID? Unless it changed to 11111111 you still won't be able to flash an RUU AFAIK

It does indeed. It doesn't change it to 1111111 it completely removes it altogether.
I re locked the bootloader the other day and re-flashed the WWE RUU as im sending it back (screen flickering problem) and it worked with no issues.
Vodafone Australia
I am Vodafone Australia and unlocked my phone via HTCdev. I am also facing the same problem (screen flickering)and need to send it back. I have re-locked it. As you just said "I re locked the bootloader the other day and re-flashed the WWE RUU as im sending it back" can you please explain how did you re-flash the WWE RUU? steps or link?

You need to get the vodafone au ruu. General wwe releases will not work for you. Pretty sure the correct ruu is available in the dev section.
Can't link, posting from phone.

Stock RUU for 1.28 needed
Hi there
I have effectively killed my HTC one - I unlocked via htcdev and upgraded the recovery - fastboot shows the device id when running the command fastboot devices.
However I am now stuck in a boot loop where the phone only boots to hboot (following a failed boot.img flash) I have downgraded back to stock recovery and re locked but cant find the 1.28 RUU to recover the device (and I did try the RUU for 1.26 but it wouldnt install)
Once I updated te recovery i ran the fastboot boot boot.img command
This failed to progress past the 'htc quietly brilliant' flash screen.
I dont have the rom .zip saved on my internal memory on the phone - I was hoping to be able to push it to the /data/ partition however when I try this sdb returns no connected device.
Wonder if anyone can assist in either
a - returning to stock with a RUU for 1.28
or
b - advise how to flash the files I need onto the phone (it seems that the ROM isnt booting so I assume its from the point I install boot.img and beyond I need so help)
Unfortunately I cant get the phone to boot to copy files to the memory so need to work entirely in fastboot and adb (assuming adb wil recognise the handset)
Many thanks
Gurry

But relocking it puts it back so unless you were on HTC__001 you'd be back on the VODAP001 CID
New to this so forgive the noob questions, sorry
Just got my son a HTC One X, its branded onto UK Orange network.
I have unlocked the bootloader but for some reason i cannot update to the Jellybean o/s.
Here are the system specs:
Android Version 4.0.4
Sense 4.1
Software number 2.17.61.3
SDK API 4.23
Kernel 2.6.39.4-gb84b15c
[email protected] #1
CID : ORANG001
ENDEAVORU PVT **** S-ON RL
HBOOT- 1.12.0000
RADIO 2.1204.135.20
(i think mid is PJ4610000) {I typed fastboot getvar mid}
It did actually give me the JB software download, but when trying to install, sent me to the clockword touch screens and when trying to install manually from there, it gave numerous errors and failed to install.
Now is this JB available for my phone and if not, is there another version available and instructions please on how to update it.
Thanks again in advance for any help offered...!:good:
So you installed a custom recovery ? In that case you have to flash back the stock recovery
http://db.tt/U5CK4noo
This is the one you need .....
Ow and is the rom itself still completely stock or did u remove stuff ? And is the boot.img (kernel) still stock ?
Thanks for the quick reply Me Hofs!
I didnt do anything else but follow instructions to unlock the bootloader and installing recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.4.0-endeavoru.img and CWM-SuperSU-v0.94.
Oke then, just flash back the stock recovery and all should be fine
how to get orange uk HOX to jellybean
I hope this helps any one who has an orange branded HOX. Set your date on the one x to a month ahead then check for OTA update. This should work if it does thank me and please spread the word!

What does this has to do with a Q&A ? For all i care this is just SPAM !
Hello. I have some problems with network unlocking my hox because orange romania changes unlock codes and the price is way too high. So I found a service that can unlock all HOX that have build lower than 3.18... The problem is I have 3.20.401.1, HBOOT 1.39, ViperX 3.60. My CID is HTC__032. Is there a way to downgrade it?With a NAND Backup or something?( I didn't backuped up when I upgraded)

Search forums, read and you will succeed.
I found the collection of stock rom and i found some backups that are good but someone told me that if i downgrade i will lose the touch because of touch drivers or something. Is that posible?
Flashing different roms will never break your hardware, you can always revert back if anything doesnt work. (Don't forget to always flash the boot.img separately from fastboot).
If you downgrade with nandroid backup then there is no restriction to what version you are downgrading to, the only problem is that some hardware MAY not work properly.
Note: your phones base version is not 3.20.401.1, this is ViperX 3.6 base version. To check the actual version, you have to check it from fastboot in the bootloader with this command: fastboot getvar version-main or fastboot getvar mainver
example : Im using viperx 3.6.0 3.20.401.1 but it still shows as 3.16.415.4 in the bootloader
I typed fastboot getvar version-main and i get this: version-main: 3.14.401.31
If you are correct, this is the real build number so i don't need the nandroid backup?

You need to downgrade to 3.14.401.31, not 3.20.401.1. Thats what I meant.
But I dont see why you need to downgrade to network unlock the phone. ie Do you send your phone to unlock it or do they give you an unlock code ?
I'll take the phone to them for unlock. 4 Months ago they could unlocked it only if it had ICS 4.0.4 or lower. I will ask to see the process and if they will succed I'll explain it here.
Hi guys.Im new to HTC one X.I just bought an HTC one X from e-bay and it came pre rooted thought the phone looks brandnew.I tried to insert a sim and my phone keeps on showing an error saying process.com.android.phone is stopped and it does not show any signal bars. After several reboots sometimes signal bars do appear sometimes. But i am unable to make or recieve calls as my phone app keeps on force closing. My phone has stock ICS.
So if i flash a stock RUU will the problem be solved or is there anything that i can do to make my phone work?thank you.
I would recommend flashing a stock RUU.
You would need to check your CID and whether your bootloader is locked or unlocked. To do this, you can hold power+volume up down buttons to reboot phone to bootloader and see the first line.
The RUU you flash must match your CID.

Power button + volume down button (not up)
And post the outcome of this fastboot command
Fastboot getvar version-main

Thanks for the help(i hit the thanks button too
one more question.Mine has got super CID.
So what RUU should i flash?
You mean Super CID 11111111?
Did you check with:
fastboot getvar cid
fastboot oem readcid
If my understanding is correct, you should be able to flash any RUU with any CID in that case.
Just make sure the RUU you are flashing is for your device model (HTC One X Endeavor, not HTC One XL or anything else)
I have never owned a supercid device though, so you might want to confirm with someone else.

Hi guys...
i desperately in need of help. i am in stock rom and i wanted to root my HTC and i did unlocked using HTC dev method. and installed CWM recovery. it worked fine for about 6 months (plz note i never flashed any custom rom, just unlocked with the stock rom)
but now suddenly my sim card is not detected. when i go to settings the flight mode says 'turning off' and it never turns off...and hence my sim not working. so i decided to reinstall stock RUU but it says wrong RUU and failed.
Info:
****Unlocked****
PrimoU PVT SHIP S-ON RL
Hboot 1.18.0000
Radio-3831.19.00.120
eMMC-boot
CID : HTC_038
i tried flashing stock recovery and relock the mobile and then RUU but it fails.now when i searched in internet i came to know that i need to down grade hboot 1.18 since no RUU is available for this version and for doing so i need to do S-OFF. i tried rum runner but it ended up in failed to update error. so plz help me. :crying:
I want to know why the radio is not working and also how to revert back to stock RUU.?
P.S :i have a doubt on how it happened-last week i updated SuperSU and on recovery menu in Hboot it showed me warning that " Rom will flash stock recovery, proceed to fix.? " i gave no...i am not sure but i thing it may be the reason because i havent done anything new since i rooted my mobile.
take a backup with CWM recovery
bro before doing anything to stock rom pls backup through CWM recovery
1st of all, to find a compatible RUU for your phone the hboot is irelevant, you need to figure out what's your CID. There is a CID application on play store that will tell you what you need: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tritonsoft.cidgetter&hl=ro
2nd from what i understood in your post you are still able to use the ROM somewhat, try to activate ADB in developer settings and reboot the phone through adb command. you will need to install android SDK and update your envoirnment variables in windows. you can lookup a tutorial on google about how to do that or if you can't find it you can PM me and i can give you some instructions.
it's very important to find a way to reboot your phone in bootloader because in order to reflash a RUU you need to relock your bootloader and to flash back the stock recovery.
it does not sound to me like your phone will be hard to fix (i had a lot worse and still managed to fix it ^^)
good luck with these steps, see if you can get any results and update here, we'll figure something out
cheers
