status/return bar missing after root - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After rooting with KFU 0.9.6 my status and lower return/options bar occasionally disappear not allowing me to get out of the screen that is currently displayed because I can't hit the back option. It requires a reboot to fix the problem. Is there a fix for this so I don't have to reboot so often? I'm on the stock launcher and would prefer to stick with that because I am a prime member and use the video and lending library a lot.

Notification Restart from the Play Store or switch to a non-Gingerbread based rom.

Get Button Saviour from the Market, it'll fix you up.

Thanks guys. Button savior works great to get back to the home screen and has a few extra cool features. Notification restart doesn't seem to work though. I've been experimenting with ways to get the notification bars back when they disappear. Still haven't figured it out without a reboot.

half blank home screen???

okay so I've had this problem a few times on 2 different G2s
not sure what happens but the phone seems to trick it's self into thinking its still in landscape mode even though its in portrait and I end up with a black screen though I can see the notification bar and can even drag it down and see it so I know the screen isn't turning off and if I open the keyboard i can only see the very right side of the screen or what would be the bottom if it were in portrait mode yet the notification bar seems to work. It usually happens when I close the keyboard. It's not a huge problem as I can just hold the power button down to bring up the "power down, airplane mode, silent mode" screen up and that fixes it. I managed to get it to happen and was able to grab some screen shots. Anybody else have this problem?
I used to see that same issue on my G1 with ADW Launcher installed
ya it happens to me using the adw launcher... i think it is just a rendering issue. also if you use adw launcher you notice the pull down shade doesn't cover the very top when pulled down? just launcher glitches still runs like a champ now that i use temp root. beautiful thing about temp root is that unlike the g1 you don't have to reboot this thing every 8 hrs lol.... i do it just cause i feel like i'm still using my g1.. autostart kills all those damn google apps that run. setcpu is running great. no oc obviously but now you can throttle it... wireless tether plus they have it on a 3 click apk that you can use. SDk/adb knowledge needed though for it...

[Q] Post Jelly Bean Issues Here!!

Is anyone having Jelly Bean issues? I am having the following issues:
1) Marking Messages as Read. If I have an unread message and the Messaging app is open under the home screen, if I use the lock screen shortcuts to open Google Now, it marks the message as read and then opens Google Now. It never did this on ICS.
2) Home Button Issues. If the screen turns off and I hit the home button to turn it on, it goes directly to the home screen. On ICS, it would just go to the most recent app (I have mostly avoided this happening again by enabling S Voice, but there's got to be a solution). Also, when I hold down the home button to open the Recent Apps screen, it will sometimes go to the home screen, and then open Recent Apps. Also, sometimes there is a delay between when I close an app and when it shows up in the Recent Apps screen.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Your help would be much appreciated!
I'm running FreeGS3 with Ktoonz 10/28 kernel and the blue battery bubble icon (with mod file flashed first) and I have the following issues.
1) The LED isn't as bright when on the charger when the phone is on... the red and green are quite dim. No issues when the phone is off (believe this is directly related to the JB ROM itself.
2) After 7 hours on the charger the battery was charged to 98%, When I was running w/o either the kernel or battery morph no issues.
3) Something took away the boot animation as I have just a black screen after the Samsung Galaxy SIII screen until you see the home screen.
Thanks in advance for detailed answers

I also had the same issue with the home button since s voice was frozen, enabling s voice double tap seemed to be the only way to fix. Hopefully a way that does not require s voice is found soon.

Reboot then black screen with notification bar

I've tried all the 5.1 ROMs and seem to have the same issue with every one. I set up the phone, make backups etc and all works smoothly.
Then for no reason I'm getting random reboot. When the phone wakes there is no lock screen, just my notification bar and a black screen. Pulldown shows notifications, buttons etc. Power button shows reboot menu etc but the rest of the screen is black with no function.
I tried to narrow it down by trying different agni settings, running stock kernels, now trying different launcher as its always been on Nova.
There is no pattern to when it will go so getting a logcat isn't easy.
Any help or pointers, or anyone else had the same issue and fixed it.

Recent open apps button not working.

Saw a post I think that was in here about getting the US S10 rooted with a link to a telegram chat. After everything was said and done my device is rooted. However Im left with out to use of that button at the lower left that opens the recent used apps to switch to or close them. I get vibration and it highlights but that's it. Is that a normal after effect? Or is there a fix that I'm hoping that not a factory reset?
It's a normal effect that you didn't enable Google assistant and there is no use of factory reset
Didn't know that had to do anything with Google assistant when before I rooted it opened the recent apps let me pick an app to go to or close them all. On the navigation bar at the bottom. Not the Bixby button which before I even rooted that was the first thing I changed

Question Lockscreen not always showing

The problem:
I will hit the power button to sleep the device. I have fingerptint/pin set as my lockscreen. My lockscreen wallpaper and home wallpaper are different, so the issue is easy to see. I sleep the device, then anywhere from 1-30 seconds later I hit the button again to wake it. Instead of showing the fingerprint scanner and my lockscreen wallpaper, it shows my home wallpaper, with the small gesture bar at the bottom. There are two ways to get past this, swipe down from the top for the quick tiles and then swipe them back up and the lockscreen wallpeper and fingerprint scanner shows. Or I can hit power to sleep and then power to wake again and my lockscreen is there.
I thought the issue was with the kernel at first because I hadn't noticed it outside of installing it. After flashing to stock kernel I noticed it happening again. It happens once every 5-10 wakes. It's not super annoying, but still annoying.
I have tried backing up and restoring everything from Google One, then rooting, then with and without a custom kernel, still the same issue.
I have also tried backing up and restoring all my data through SwiftBackup. For apps I backup all user app data parts: APKs, Data, Ext. data, Expansion, and Media. (Not sure if I even need to but certain games etc I don't want to lose data). After I restore I use the same Magisk 24000 to patch and flash the boot.img.
No matter what I've tried, the issue still seems to persist. If it helps, I am on Android SP2A.220405.004
If anyone might know what is causing this or how I can fix it, that would be great. Thanks!
