So, according to this article http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/15/nokia-june-18th-pureview-808/, a lot of people are speculating on the announcement for the Nokia PureView 808, but, there is something else... the US Code of the Lumia 900 is also RM-808 and since all other countries with the Lumia 900 are already shipping with the Tango Update, I'm thinking the US version is due to get the update next Monday 18. Another curious detail is that according to the 'Hint' on the Facebook page from Nokia showing a Map of Hawaii, the location of the 2nd destination is 'Lumiaina Street'. So since there are 2 destinations on the map, it could be that they are announcing 2 things, one of them been the Tango Update for the Lumia RM-808.

I think Verizon may be getting its Lumia 900 on this date too..
But anyway, Tango is really a minor update with sms/mms improvement, lower memory footprint for apps , tethering.
The BIG annoucement is likely the Microsoft Tablet, but yes it could possibly be more phone models with latest OS.

I absolutely agree.
Also, if you look at the photos in the Nokia US facebook page, there is one picture which was posted on the same day as these other pictures, which shows that texting pictures on the Lumia 900 and that is a feature of Tango.
So, I think Tango should show up tomorrow.

Ok, so it appears some carriers have blocked the first update that does nothing to WP7.
To take a quote from WP7 support:
[Some Mobile Operators have the right to skip one update if they wish.
However, they can't skip the next one, which would be an acumulative update and would include the previous one.
So if your mobile operator decided to block this one, you will be getting the early March one (which will include the Feb one too)]
from Microsoft Windows Phone Forum
The concern is if they block an update that does nothing, what will they do in future?
So, lets try to isolate which ones havent updated yet - if you have a BRANDED handset that HAS OR HAS NOT been updated :
U
- name the Carrier/Branding, Handset Model and Country so others know.
As updates hit these phones, I will append the date of the update to the handset on the list.
No update
ATT LG Quantum
ATT Samsung Focus
ATT HTC Surround
T-Mobile HTC HD7 (US I assume)
T-Mobile Dell Venue Pro. (US I assume)
Telus LG Optimus 7
Telus HTC Surround
Orange HTC 7 Mozart
Orange (France)
SFR (France)
Telstra LG Optimus 7Q
Telstra HTC Mozart - UPDATE - Mid march maybe
Vodafone (Spanish) LG Optimus 7
Now released
O2 Branded HD7 Released 3/3
Vodafone Netherlands HTC 7 Trophy - Released 6/3
Vodafone (Australia) HTC Trophy - release - some other regions also 3/3
Optus - Released 3/3
Vodafone AU - released 3/3
There is also a list of carriers who are apparently confirmed to be pusing it out - but I would debate this to be totally accurate (as with the above list) as they too are sourcing their information from posts by people who may not necessarily know if their phone is Branded.
http://wmpoweruser.com/carriers-who-are-confirmed-to-be-pushing-out-updates/
My t mobile hd7 has not received any updates so far.
None of my US branded devices are recieving anything
ATT LG Quantum
ATT Samsung Focus
ATT HTC Surround
T-Mobile HTC HD7
my unbranded devices received update love though...
ATT Focus
My ATT Samsung Focus has not received an update notification.
Vodafone HTC Trophy
Orange HTC 7 Mozart
I think there was an article somewhere stating that this update is being rolled out in steps to ensure that it goes out smoothly.
i think it is quite probable that MS is also sort of dipping its toe in the water before it dives in with the first proper update.

Well, in the support team's defense, they probably wouldn't be given that information, especially the Twitter branch of it... At least not this early. I think they're just tiering the updates, and maybe holding them off until they fix this Samsung issue...

You need to compile a list of people that HAVE received the update, not people that have not: Microsoft directly said the first update would NOT be rolled out to everyone.
Also, what's the big deal ? It's just a pre-emptive update, not something that actually matters.

Official word from Microsoft is Mango will start rolling out between September 26th and October 9th.
Vodafone Australia
Optus
Telstra
Telus
Bell
O2 Germany
Deutsche Telekom
SFR France
Orange France
O2 UK
Other information as follow:
AT&T to start rollout on September 27th for HTC Surround, LG Quantum and Samsung Focus Rev. v1.3 (supposedly as there's no official word directly from AT&T to consumers)
have not deployed on telstra yet
Talked to O2 in UK and they just say they cannot say anything about it. Useless company and useless staff.

I heard some, probably not accurate, stuff, that AT&T should be rolling out Mango on day 1, which _could_ be as soon as Monday. But don't believe me, it might be HOAX.
Oh and Windows Phone CZ on Facebook asked if we are preparing for Mango update in upcoming DAYS
AT&T said, "AT&T will be among the first to offer the Windows Phone Mango update to its leading portfolio of Windows Phones this fall." Not sure if that means you can get it on day 1.

OMG... Use google
http://wmpoweruser.com/o2-germany-claims-to-have-a-32-gb-nokia-lumia-900/
Wishful thinking but is this why O2 UK haven't any stock?
That is surely a mistake otherwise they would be shouting about it wouldn't they?
EDIT: well it seems that post has been updated with confirmation from O2 Germany of the spec. Interesting.
In a way I am glad of this, I now know to get one from Germany if the UK spec ones if they ever show have just 16GB, Hate the fact that we get everything last in UK, At least O2 Germany appear to be doing their customers proud with such a great Handset, Well Jel
When it says "confirmed by O2 customers service" here's what I picture happened;
WMPowerUser: Please can you confirm how much memory the Lumia 900 has?
Customer Service: Sure, let me check that for you.
At this point, they consult the website / catalogue, which as we all can see says 32Gb.
Customer Service: That phone has 32Gb memory.
WMPowerUser: Brilliant, thanks. Goodbye.
O2 had the omnia 7 with 16 gb of memory while everybody else had it with 8 gb of memory, i think that there is something here.
So are you saying Nokia have a seperate production line producing 32Gb 900's solely for the German market?

That was T-mobile, not O2
I believe the Germans also have a 32GB HTC One X, I wonder why they get these privileges on storage
I just can't see this, it'd sort of sound like suicide for Nokia as it'd alienate customers in other countries.
well like i said, o2 did have a history of producing larger storage in their devices, so i would not be suprised, and so what now there would be an option for 32 gb noia lumia 900!
O2 updated the page and it now shows 16GB.
Wow they certainly made a big Typo there lol, Well spotted.
Funnily enough I emailed Nokia earlier today to ask for confirmation and now it's been corrected. Seems the journos didn't clarify things after all.
I've been noticing in tons of pics that some Lumia's have differences in the oval chrome on the back of the unit.
My Rogers Lumia 900 unit (and the 6 I returned due to purple screen) all only say "Carl Zeiss" on the oval chrome peice...
I have seen in numerous videos and pictures that some units actually say "NOKIA" in big bold letters, and then have "Carl Zeiss" in smaller letters beside it...
Could this have any correlation with the purple screen issue? Are there different hardware revisions of this phone?
Just today, I saw that the batman edition (or whatever it's called), has Nokia in big letters (not like mine)...
Anyone got the 411 on this?
Mine has the "Nokia" branding on the chrome. European ones won't have the LTE capability, I don't know if that has any bearing on it?
Mine has the Carl Zeiss branding. I suspect it may be due to the age of the units, since mine was one of the first ones out for Canada.
It may be that the newer units have the NOKIA branding on the back.

I think your logic may be backward as I believe the European models hit the stores in Europe before we got them here in Canada. I may be wrong but I think that's how it worked...

Actually in Canada we got ours when the US did I think... We were way before Europe!
As far as the purple screen, I went through 5 or 6 and all (including the one I have right now) have the purple screen issue...
Mine (Rogers):
NOKIA | Carl Zeiss Tessar
the manufacture date of my Lumia 900 is 16th week of 2012 (16/4-22/4)
This is a branding issue. The reason why Europeans have Nokia written on chrome part is because they are aware of the fact that Nokia uses Carl Zeiss.
North American market however, especially US need Carl Zeiss branding to sell more devices to people who are not aware of the Carl Zeiss. But both phones are the same.

Interesting, thanks for letting us now... And did yours have the purple screen issue?
All 5 or 6 of the devices I picked up were week 13 of 2012 ( 13 2012) didn't say Nokia on the back and had the purple screen issue... Even after replacing my phone and waiting a week or two each time... Unfortunately in a city of 1.4 million people, only 10 units were sent to all the Best Buys here (2 in each store), and I was the only person who bought a Lumia 900 in a period of 5-8 weeks.
No one was buying these, so none of the stores needed new stock... All phones were week 13 I finally gave up and kept the purple screen

Quick question... I am in Canada on Rogers and have the Rogers version of the Lumia 900.
Now... The box states that this is an RM-808 (US / North American) model device but an app I had called "System Settings Pro" or something like that stated that the device is an RM-823 (Euro / International) model.

Wow but build 8112 seems older than tango
Build 8112 was pushed out to resolve the internet connectivity issues that most 900's faced. My 900 has been running this build since April 13th when they pushed it out...
Yep Build 8112 was on my at&t Titan 2, Think it was pushed to the Lumia 900s to sort out the purple camera issue.
yes, i have build 7.10.8112.7 on my lumia 900. this was after at$t, last update earlier this month
The L900 shipped with 7.10.8112.7. That update was to enable LTE on L900 and Titan II devices. Tree have been no OS updates since the L900 launch. There have been two firmware updates.
Sent from my Lumia 900 using Board Express Pro
Oh, and 8112 is older than Tango, because it was created for LTE phones, before Tango was finalized.
The fomware to fix the data issue: 2175.1002.8112.12084. Firmware to fix the purple screen issue: 2175.1003.8112.12085.

Correct. 7.8 won't be out until some time around the WP8 release which is expected in October, In fact you don't even have Tango yet, which is the release before 7.8.
If you're outside of North America I think you can expect Tango soon. Rogers and AT&T are apparently in no hurry to release it.
