Android keyboard on Sense? - HTC One X

How do I get the stock Android keyboard on my Renovate rom?
I wen't to the keyboard and language settings but there was no option to switch.
Could anyone help me out please? I'd appreciate it a lot!

My best suggestion would be to findand download that specific .apk. i am unsure if it can be found on the market. Or try out other keyboards.
Otherwise, i use thumb keyboard.

[Q] How to make my phone look like the Droid X

I am VERY new to the whole Android thing, so I'm very sorry if this is a stupid question. But if I understand correctly what ROMs are, is there some way to download a ROM that will turn my DZ into the same OS as a Droid X? To make it look the same?
Thanks in advance for help.
As far as a ROM goes, someone would have to develop a port for use on the G2. It's certainly possible but probably not likely.
If you just want to make it look and behave like the X, there are home replacement apps on the market with more customizable options than the stock launcher. I use ADW Launcher, myself.

How do I use these launchers
Once it's downloaded and you press your home button, it will ask you which program you want to use to complete the action complete with an option to pick it as the default.
If you want to switch back and forth, there's an app called Home Switcher available on the market. I don't really use it since I know which launcher I prefer and just stick with it.
I like ADW but Launcher Pro is a popular choice.
Try a market search for Droid X theme and see if one of the luanchers already has a skin/theme to suit your needs. Otherwise, I think customizing it personally is the most fun.

[HTC ONE X] emoji

hi there,
been using my htc one x for few month now since release.
i've been using gosms simply for the reason that it has emoji plugin.
i was wondering if anyone can tell me how or re-direct me to the correct thread to get emoji working across all apps via rooted system tweaks?
that works for ics4 / htc one x.
Thank you.

If you use AOKP it has emoji support
I personaly still use Handcent, for the screen-waking-popup
An app - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1794797
A manual method - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1724389
The app worked on my HTC Inspire (AOSP rom) but on my Evo Design, the app isn't requesting Superuser access. I'd try the app first, then the manual method if it doesn't work.

So you can't get it on a sense based rom?
Comes with JB. Even on Sense

Even if you add global emoji support through one of the mods linked by Simba501, you wouldn't see a nice colorful pictorial representations of the icons in all apps. you'll see a text representation like shown in this image. And to insert them you'll need a special keyboard or an app , so the experience is much poorer than using an SMS app that has built in emoji support. If you dont like GoSMS then try Handcent, that is what I use, IMO its a much better alternative than the built in SMS app or any other 3rd party SMS app out there.

I don't think so, the one they have for Sense isn't the default emoji you get. For example, like iPhone has a huge collection of it. If there's an option for HTC Sense based to display it all and also have it enabled as input to social sites (twitter/fb/instagram) then where is it?
Not as input - that's in the 4.2 keyboard (but if you're rooted you can flash the 4.2 iWinn IME)
But emojii show up. ?

Using stock AOSP keyboard on Sense.

I have switched between Sense and AOSP countless times and the thing I noticed was that the keyboard on Sense is slower.
On AOSP it responds immediatly, I even notice it now on AOKP.
Now my question, how would I get the AOSP keyboard on Android Revolution 7.2.1? I have already tried extracting the AOSP keyboard from an AOSP rom and putting it in system/apps but it wouldn't open, just force close, any ideas?
Thanks!

Put the .apk file in ROM zip/system/app, reboot in recovery, reflash the ROM without wiping. Reboot and done.

I have tried that too, but when I changed the keyboard to the Google AOSP one, it just force closed and wouldn't open any keyboard.
Anyone know which one will work on Android Revolution?
You can also download them from the market.

Why not try Go Keyboard, I have been using it when I was on sense roms and it was fast, and has many add-on languages.
Hi,
I hate the stock sense keyboard, and as I've been running ARHD for a while, I just got a third party keyboard from the market...
For info, this one works well: https://play.google.com/store/apps/....android.inputmethod.latin.ice_cream_sandwich

Can I get jelly bean transition animation in sense 4+?

Now, if we push home button, no animation occurs. It just like the apps and back to home screen in sudden.
Can I get jelly bean transition animation in sense 4+? I see what ica did before if there is any flashable theme for me to flash in jelly bean... Thanks

HTC Sense launcher uses it's own animations so unless you know how to edit it yourself, you can't do anything about it.
Tried this zip, but nothing happen..

I think someone may take a look on it, may be it helps

It does work, for animations outside of HTC Sense launcher. To flash it, you have to mount /system in CWM or else it won't flash properly.

Hi.. this is exactly what i want to do. change the transition animation, when switching from one app to another. it just like no animation at all. and it's really ugly.
tried many way to change it: flash from zip, use ninjamorph, manual change on anim folder inside framework-res.apk. but none of them work.
tried that mentioned framework tool but always says "something went wrong"
i can change window transition with all those methods, but why they wont work for transition animation?
any suggestion?
thanks

Keyboard with swype

So im using jmzonev Rom based on stock and I'm using the full sense version and I like the sense keyboard with swype but I don't like how slow the full sense Rom runs even overclocked. Is there a way to take the keyboard out and put it in the sense lite version of jmzonev?

Try Swiftkey.. It's awesome! It has text reflow technology.. Try it..
Can't you just enable the feature in the lite version?
Going to your settings and activating it? Was possible in version 5, though.
