For the gamers out there, we finally have an official xbox live app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xle
i like the app so far besides the fact the default page is 'ads' rather than avatar tab with friends and messages. and the size is rather large compared to spark360, but it works much more reliably.

Its decent so far.. hopefully it gets updated frequently.
Good app, just wish it had more feels like somethings missing.

Remarquable app. Wait for full avatar's items... miss my trooper helmet. Wait for update on other part. Big fan of that Minimalistic UI. Keep up, feed us !

really a good find! I'm stoked about this!
It makes me wonder what it will do with the eventual release of the SmartGlass App that's due this holiday season.

I've seen any number of storm chasers on TV and many seem to be using some pretty cool weather apps with highly detailed radar -- what apps are they using?
Do any provide alerts for approaching weather and if so, can you specify a location other than where you are at the moment?
Brian
I have used this app. On my old iPhone It is called radarscope
I have not been able to find it for android. I keep holding out hope though.
I live in Oklahoma so it would really come in handy.

I would also love a high quality radar app for android....
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
I spoke too soon, I hadn't checked in a while. Radarscope is available in the market now, however it is $9.99. After using this app I totally think its worth it. It will show you wind velocities at different levels of the storm and its by far the best radar app.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
wow radarscope is pretty insane, may pick that up one day.
personally i'm using BeWeather. it has some pretty amazing maps, though no where near the level of radarscope. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bellshare.beweather
I live in OKC and having a good cell phone radar is a must. It can and will save lives in the future

Radarscope is awesome - got it right when it came out for Android.
I use pykl3 on both my phone and tablet when I'm in the field. It's an incredible app, highly customizable.

I been searching for.some time now for any educational apps for my 18 months son with little luck.
Most apps are geared towards older children, not to mention not too many have child lock on them to prevent children from hitting capacitive buttons.Seem like all good children's apps or on ipad/iPhone and I won't to avoid this option if I can help it.
Anyone know of any good apps?
Here are few apps that I have so far that are usefull and not too complicated for children that are 1-3 years old.
1 Toddle Animal Numbers (Probably the best one,its educational and its free)
2 Undersea Adventure for Toddler (Not really educational but a fun and simple game, and its free)
3 Kids Doodle Paint (Best thing about this is that it has child's lock built in,so you can go to sleep while they draw and not have to worry about them turning it off, this one is free too)
And that's about it,yeah I know that's a damn shame.Rest that I tried is to complex.
The sprout app is a good app i use

Apps by intellijoy.
Also, there are lots of interactive books by people like "Oceanhouse media" (the book reads and the child interacts with the page.)
This is a good thread, I have an app called "kid mode" that has a lot of stuff in it, my 18 mo old daughter likes it.

No offense but why would anyone give a toddler a smart phone to play with?

My daughter sits on my lap and looks at pictures and plays games, she's not allowed to do it on her own.

Get a Nexus 7.
A broken n7 is cheaper than a broken sgs3.

They are toddlers...
They can take your iPad, S3 or whatever you have before you blink. So its better find them with the phone in theirs hands than see your gadgets on the toilet or trash can because they got bored.
Thats why also I have a Otter Defender.

If I had kids I would. Getting them a grasp of new things at an early age is important and most useful for the future. Smartphones are only materialistic items so I wouldn't care really unless they're looking at things they aren't supposed too.

Here are the apps that my 3 year old plays with and has played with for a long time (probably since he was 18 mo.)
Monkey Preschool Lunchbox (His absolute FAVORITE!)
Color & Draw for kids phone ed
Kids Connect the Dots Lite
Thomas Game Pack
Kids Piano Lite
Zebra Paint
SUPER WHY!
And here is the toddler lock I used to use before he really knew how to handle a phone.
Toddler Lock
When my daughter was 18 months old she liked learning animal sounds, She particularly liked the cat on this one Toddler Animal Sounds by Bluphant Games, They also do a paid for version which has a child lock built in it.
Now she's 3 however it's Peppa Pig all the way!
I just wanted to say if your looking for a launcher that is simply amazing and cutting edge, I suggest The TSF launcher!! They aren't paying me or anything like that, but i haven't seen much talk about it. It is off the chain awesome!!!!!
It looks amazing! I just don't see myself spending almost 17 bucks for a launcher.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
1) I'm sure I'd get tired of it super fast, I always return to stock and SIMPLE when I try launchers
2) No way that doesn't increase battery usage significantly
Tried it too...same thing.. it's cool to show off but practical / every day use, nothing beats simple stock, be it tw or ics stock

Yeah but I've been trying to turn my phone into Iron man's phone from when he was in court since I had my hd2. My gs3+tsf is as close to jarvis as I can get right now

I have it and I don't recommend it or use it. Overpriced. Stick with nova or apex and you are good.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
I have tried that in my friends phone and its not so much recommendable thing.
17 bucks for a launcher , big joke for me.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
I have it and love it. You really have to watch the videos to really see what this launcher can do, otherwise it wont do much with limited knowledge (no offense to anyone). This does so much more than any other launcher out there. I cringed at the price, but after learning everything that the launcher can do, I ditched my other custom launchers for this one.
I took the time to watch the whole video. Seems like stome amazing developing. But just can't seem to grasp paying that huge price.

I actually tried this out last week , it seems like a good idea but the aesthetics need to be more refined... it just looks low quality imo

Post your favorite fantasy football apps.
Bleacher Report has some good analysis and rotowire is good for keeping track of players status and updates.
And of course you need your app for whatever you use for your league.
Anyone have and good drafting apps?

I'll go ahead and state an obvious one: Yahoo! Fantasy Football. They've completely overhauled the UI, while it is much better than the previous version it's still not perfect.
So why am I telling you about this app? Well they added a pretty cool feature to this updated version - mock drafts. You're now able to participate in Yahoo's mock drafts from your phone or tablet. It's pretty sweet.
Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yahoo.mobile.client.android.fantasyfootball&hl=en
I've uses draft punk in the past, but the pro version is well worth it. It includes depth charts and allows you to customize your draft order. The depth charts did it for me. Well worth the $1.99 for me not to have to hold some papers.

The GTA 5 theme is pretty sweet too. I got on the beta in time!
I just got my beta code this morning. I was worried about how it would look on this honkin' screen, but it is so AWESOME! I love how I can just make a couple taps, and completely change how my phone looks. It's crazy awesome.
There are 121,640 people in front of you.
Now
There are 117,117 people in front of you.
They must be sending out invites by hand.
Hmmmmmm.... I just received this.
We know that the whole app waitlist thing is a bit cliche at this point, but we're adding users as fast as our little servers can handle. We will start rolling out Themer Beta publicly on October 1.

It's telling me that the code has just been sent, but I don't see it in my mailbox yet... Well, hopefully it'll pop up within the hour.
I estimated that I will get a code in 100-110 days. WHOHOOOHOOO.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
I got my code today, only waited whhat like 2 days I think from when I registered. It's pretty cool, you choose a theme and it applies it in seconds. I tested a few and each one worked perfectly but none of them were high definition, they seemed very bland and not at all colorful is the only way I can describe it I guess. Your better off using Nova Prime or whatever your favorite launcher is and using the themes for that at least until somebody starts making better themes for this. I remember trying Better Home I think it was and it really hooked me for a few days with its pop, colors and some cool options but this thing just is cool for like 10 minutes.
