unlocking bootloader risk - HTC One V

How huge is the risk of bricking HTC One V while unlocking bootloader?
Does it can be evaluated somehow?
For example: in SE Xperia X8 there were a "trick", that you have to look, when your phone were produced and with that information you were able to evaluate, that you will brick your phone or not...
Does it works with HTC One V?

yo dude, i've JUST sold the X8 to come to the HOV, and i can tell you the bootloader unlock is 1000x more safe, it's from HTCDEV, the only way your going to brick it is by some sort of magic or you do something stupid.

HTC supports unlocking the bootloader, you don't need to do any "unofficial" hacking
You will have no problems if you follow the steps on the HTC developer website (the forum won't let me post the link for you, google htcdev unlock bootloader)

Hi
Just follow the excelent step-by-step tutorial here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598964
Also if for some reason you need to "go back" to unrooted stock device this is also really easy

actually i dont want to downgrade........is ther any way to root use one click application......like super one click or like that app........please help
You will have to downgrade in order to root. Once downgraded you can then upgrade again.
Now, PLEASE, pretty PLEASE, use the search box, read the dev forum.
Question asked and answered.
thank you guys for your help......now i have downgraded my dhd to 1.32 and rooted it.....but now the question is when i try to update it.....it shows my phone is updated......there is no update found.........so how can i update to 1.84 or higher........
You wait. It's not instant. READ THE FORUMS.
You will of course lose root if you update the ota. Curious to know why you bothered if this was your intention.
You will need radio s-off to avoid having to downgrade again after the update.

You're going to get hammered for posting this in the development section. This belongs in Q&A. You can't unlock your bootloader without risking voiding your warranty. Check out the general forum. There are a few threads about it.

[Q] should i stay with locked bootloader or unlock the bootloader

Hello everybody
i have this dilemma with my Xperia S LT26i.. i have it with locked bootloader ando is going well... do yo think is bettes stay with locked bootloader? or unlock it... and... the other thing.. is how do you know if your bootloader has been unlocked and relocked again?
You better ask questions in questions and answers sections... I think you dont understand bootloader... bootloader unlocked for usually for root the phone and then install custom ROM.. but xperia s can be rooted with locked bootloader as well (another way)... But some ROMs needs (ROMs with non-stock kernel) bootloader unlocked...
Also u dont need a poll for this lol....

Read the XDA rules, read #15 twice
Also search search search. This topic has been covered many times in many threads.
XDA is a do-it-yourself forum not a give-me-the-answers forum.

That depends. Have you followed xda's rules by searching first? Then if you cannot find an answer by opening a thread and writing in detail;
What device you have?
What software version it has?
What bootloader it has?
If that bootloader is security unlocked, or s-off ?
Does it have root?
Does it have a custom recovery? If so which one and what version.
Did you write a detailed paragraph on what you did for the issue to happen, along with any search results you found yourself?
I will not help you if you dont at least follow the xda rules 1 and 3. Respect us and respect your own ability to troubleshoot and I will happily do my best to help you with your phone. A hard brick can happen in so many ways, and if you dont share what happened I cannot help. so come back with rules 1 and 3 followed and then we can talk
