Rezound. You get beats, and sense.
HTC. Simple.
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium

There should be zero reason why you should get the Rezound unless you absolutely cannot live without HTC Sense and microSD slot. The Nexus is simply better in almost all aspects imo.
The Rezound uses the Qualcomm S3 cpu, its simply slower than the OMAP 4 of the Nexus. My Nexus could play HD MKV videos smoothly, while my previous T-Mobile SII (using the same S3) can't while overclocked to 1.8GHz, and everything else is smoother on the Nexus.

Are you serious? You'll never get sense 4 (officially), which is the only good sense version since 2.1. And beats? Sure you get ear buds, but you can pick those up anywhere. And as for the sound software, I can easily beat it using DSP Manager on my phone. If you're joking though, sorry for the mini rant.

I have a Nexus and my wife has the Rezound.
The Rezound is considerably slower and laggier in every area except the launcher and camera. Using the browsers between them is a night and day difference. Scrolling/zooming anywhere and even just pulling down the notification shade is pretty laggy compared to the Gnex.
The only slight pros it has over the Gnex is a slightly better display (it's extremely crisp and bright - the Rezound still has the highest PPI of any phone on the market) and reception seems to be a bit better than my Nexus. I haven't really had the signal issues you see a lot of people complain about, but the hand-offs on the Rezound between 4G to 3G and visa-versa are much faster. Sometimes I have to toggle LTE/mobile data to pick up 4G, even with the newest radios. Not a big deal though, I have a widget for it in my notification bar so it doesn't even take 2 seconds. (Edit) Oh, and the camera on the Rezound is a lot better of course too in terms of IQ. Nexus is just faster loading and taking pics since it has zero shutter lag.

Yeh still got my gs2 but to me I brows the internet and watch videos a lot so screen Res was a major thing for me, also honestly the s2 looked a little like the ip4 also had that, would pic the gn over the ip4 and the gs2 any day, I also notice less issues on the forums with this phone with the gs2 it was full of buggs lucky I just had some battery drain but that was it. Get the gn its a great phone.

I have no regrets whatsoever getting the Nexus.
The higher screen resolution is a plus for me...as I like to pick the smallest fonts possible to put more info on screen.
The Nexus feels better in hand probably due to the slight curve in design.
K before the store opens I know you guys think I jumped the gun and made my decision on one comment but it seems likea war between s2 lovers vs prime lovers and you hear so many good answers just so hard to tell who is telling the truth or they are just making up ****. also wanna say is that Im not that good with phones meaning that I I'm not going to root or put custom roms on it also is it also true that the nexus won't sync up with computer but it syncs everything automatically to a cloud kinda like icloud if? I like how easy the s2 works please help I'm messed up

It's all about personal preference. The Nexus has data speeds with a theoretical max of 21 Mbps where as the S2 is 42.
On the other hand, the nexus will always have the latest and greatest software ( as long as the device is still supported by google).
Depends on what you're going to do. With a custom ROM, I found the performance to be slightly better with the G.Nexus in normal day-to-day activities such as texting and web browsing (because of Project Butter). However, the difference is pretty small. I also highly prefer the stock OS but G.Nexus does not have wifi calling so that was a deal breaker for me.

I really want a Samsung device. I can't afford 500+ for a new phone. But 350, hella yeah. With this Nexus you wouldn't need to worry about "lack of roms". Plus, from what I've been seeing. I don't think Google is releasing a new Nexus Phone. The Nexus 7 & Q took that place this year. So you wouldn't need to worry about an old device

What exactly do you think you are supposed to be seeing? Google has released a new device every year since creating the nexus program, why would this year be any different?

Nexus One Vs. Galaxy Nexus

So there i was cleaning my room -.-' and as i was cleaning i found my old nexus one. It was dead, so I plugged it in.
When i turned the device on, a lot of memories came to mind, as the progress google has made.
But then as i was looking trough it i noticed that it felt kind of fast for it to be a 3 years old. So I put my Gnex running jellybean next to it.
To my surprise every action was faster on the Nexus One? Odd but yeah. Openning Applications like the clock, calendar, browser, settings.
How come a three year old device is faster than the galaxy nexus, i know the gnex has a lot more things to process as well as the size of the screen, but common really? I guess im going to use it as an mp3 player now.
Screen resolution I would guess, gnex is pushing out android in HD 720p and nexus one is what 800x600 perhaps roughly. Also older versions of android I expect are much less complex than jelly bean. The only fair way to test is do a test of stock JB on each device and see which fares better then, but still you have to take into concideration just how many more pixels gnex is pushing out. Cool story though

You could never damage your brain from THC. Just sayin.
I have both too. If you run stock on both (gingerbread vs jelly bean), there is certainly no way the gnex is slower...
For one, the touch response on n1 was pretty bad... its not slow, but to say its faster than gnex is a bit odd.

My N1 is sitting in it's cradle on my kitchen bar and has become an e-mail alert system--I can see the flashing track ball from most points in my main living area when an e-mail comes in.
One place the Galaxy Nexus really excels over the Nexus One is as a music player. I was never impressed with the sound quality of the N1. And with low impedance headphones, there is a periodic thumping sound/artifact, about one thump per second. The Galaxy Nexus, on the other hand, has some of the best sound quality I've heard on a portable music player--at least as good or better than my iPod Classic 120GB.
That brings up one thing the N1 had that I really miss--a microSD card slot. I wish the GN had a modern microSD slot--I'd love to have a 64GB SDXC microSD card in it. I get around this by mounting a flash drive via USB OTG that contains my music collection, but it's definitely not ideal.

[Q] Is the Galaxy Nexus a good choice?

Hello guy's! I currently have the G2x but I want to change it because I have a lot of problems with it. I was wondering if the Galaxy Nexus is still a good choice because it is only 280$ (approx.) on swappa and it would fit my budget. I have no problems buying an used device. If the galaxy nexus isn't a good idea, can you guy's recommend me something else?
(PS: Is there a way I can buy a new (in the box) GNex?)
I bounce back and forth between my GNex and HTC One S (cost $300).
I like the Nexus better. Bigger screen, pure android, huge development community, removable battery... However, it is a couple years old. Have you thought about the Nexus 4. Not much more cash and definitely a better phone. I bought one for my wife as a gift. It beats the GNex in all categories and you can get an 8 gig for 300.

My main issues:
- terrible battery life: LTE really drains it
- hard to hold on to 4G reception: in many parts of LA, I notice my phone switching to 3G and back, sometimes dropping the data connection completely (this probably is Verizon's fault, though; YMMV in other areas)
- Verizon doesn't update as frequently as GSM carriers
Other than those, it's been great, but the data connection thing really kills me. I'm guessing once LTE is rolled out completely, it shouldn't be an issue anymore. That being said, I think I'm going to jump ship once the next Nexus comes out!
