WFS S-OFF with LG Tool? - HTC Wildfire S

Anybody heard of this or tried it? It supposedly supports wildfire S.

from what i can gather, this requires an activated account with the software provider, which you can't do without buying their setool box....also, many of the download links for their drivers etc seem to be totally broken....i don't think anyone will want to be paying out for their tool box, then buying unlock credits etc, when they can't even sort their website out

I am user of that box from past 2 years...

First of all sorry to jump on old thread.but I want to clear something wrong here. This box named with LG tool actually is partner with setool box.Hardware interface is setool box as additional security and you can use setool services too(for Soy Ericsson all mobiles flashing and unlocking including old to latest one) as well LG tool too. You have to purchase setool box first and than pay activation charges for LG tool only once. After that you can do unlocking more than 4500 mobiles including Samsung htc Hawaii zte (adnroid) and many more.Even most of them are just like give ime and get code instantly. But that box is for gsm technicians not for an individual. When they take start LG tool it was free for trial and testing period like approx one year and we do unlock many mobiles without paying a $.Now when trial period is over there is an activation. And you can use certain unlocks with in 24 hours just to avoid spamming and stable the unlocking market.Yes there is an option for S/off and more than that you can unlock any htc as well as you can repair imei too and backup nvram and etc.... I think that is clear enough now but if some one got any question regarding it I can show screen shot too.And by the way I am just biggest fan and old user of this product.Dont forget the Laser who leaked the xperia security he is real brain behind the setool...
@ Gloris everything is available on their support site but you must be member and user of the box....

[Q] Unlocking the bootloader

Hi,
Before stating my question I'd just like to say that I have searched for an answer to my problem, but I haven't really found anything clear. If I've missed something completely obvious, feel free to slap me & link it
Right, so basically I've been trying to unlock the bootloader for my Xperia Play R800i using the method found on the sonymobile.com website. However, when I get onto the service menu (doing all that fancy *#*#737 stuff) it tells me "Bootloader unlock allowed: No".
I tried to research about this message and if I could still unlock my bootloader, and I found out that all I needed to do was unlock my sim (I'm on the 3 network). Before going and looking into whatever is needed to get the unlock code, I read somewhere that it wasn't just as simple as unlocking the sim on it's own.
From here I'm kind of lost, and have no idea what to do - any help would be really appreciated
If there's any information you need and I haven't given, just ask for it and I'll try to get it to the best of my ability.
Oh, and I'm not exactly the most tech-savvy person
Try http://unlock-bootloader.com/ it costs $24 but that's for the cost of the credit in the program used. He makes no money off of it
Thanks for the reply, I'll give it a go and see how it turns out

Just an encouragement - I had mine done last weekend. Alejandrissimo is very reliable, friendly and quick. It's well worth the small fee involved.

Ah, cool - shall definitely look into it then
Edit: Just done the service, and it was great! Thanks for recommending it.

Direction to unlock "Bootloader on Booloader unlock allowed: No"

After shooting some searches on Q&A about unlocking bootloader on xperia play with "Rooting Status: No", I've learned that unlocking can still be achieved (Take note that I didn't find any steps, only references). So I went searching for guides to do so, but without success. If anyone got a direct link to such a guide, I would really appreciate it!
Please note that there is a 0,01% chance of retardation and missing the guides, when they were in front of my eyes.
Thank you in advance!
You must pay 24$ to get it done from Alejandrissimo. That's the only way.
Trust me it's worth it. http://unlock-bootloader.com/

I trust you, but the problem is that I can't pay any money via internet, not that I don't have them, it's just that I don't have any methods available to do so at this point.

Well, I just went to Western Union with one of my parents and sent some money to him and then he did it I suggest you do the same if you can.
You can go down to your local store, buy a $25 prepaid card, give him the stuff, and done! He'll unlock it!
Well the thing I want to know still is how he does it. Do I send him the money and the phone? Or just the money and he gives me a code? Or what is actually happening.

he uses teamviewer and guides you through it, he charges because it costs him to buy the tokens or whatever you want to call them. They have to be bought in batch.

Good guy, he unlocked my boot loader in a matter of minutes. The hardest part was removing that damn sticker, mine was like super glued on or something. That and bridging the connection while attaching the USB. If only I had 3 arms... O the possibilities...

Network Lock Issue

guy's i'm using a Bravo here in Pakistan, its on 2.2.1 i've rooted with recovery, the issue is that everytime i flash another rom it asks for the "input network pin" prompt and i got no signals and no network, no one can unlock the phone here, but yes on froyo i've got my network, thankfully i restored a backup that i made and i get my network back... any one can help me get my phone fully unlocked so i can flash other roms other than froyo?
I would move this topic from Bravo Android Development over to Bravo General because there is where all of the Q&A topics should go. Just my suggestion, tho.
yes this should be moved, but answering your question @jafferkhan, it happened to me before, it is because you bought an cheap unlock code, everytime you flash it, it will ask for the unlock code, buy the code from another server, I know one that worked for me before, or try direct unlock with sigma key, all this methods are paid services

hey juan, thanks for the prompt response, you guys have helped me understand a lot about this phone, yes you're right, i think i will need to get it unlocked, but the entire phone cost me less than 15 dollars here where i am, and i know that it's been softunlocked, to run on 2.2.1 which is why when i upgrade it, it won't unlock, if you can, how to soft unlock it on CM7.2? so i will keep it on that only and it stays unlocked to use it on that
I don't think you could soft unlock this because there is no soft unlock for the Bravo yet like there is for the Defy. Yes, I did suggest you try the Defy soft unlock as a last resort thru PM but it didn't work. Juan seems to know more about this than I do, even I had no idea there was a difference between normal unlock codes and "cheap" ones that only work once. If anything, just find a ROM you would be comfortable staying on and buy another one of those cheap one time use unlock codes Juan talked about in his previous post. I know in my country I have seen cheap unlock codes go for around 2 US Dollars but I don't know how that would translate to Pakistan currency.

If you are interested there is a used Motorola Bravo that is about 55 USA dollars on Amazon (and there's a new version for about 80 USA dollars). It is locked to Consumer Cellular, but it is running 2.2.2 Froyo which a lot of Motorola Bravo developers REALLY REALLY want. You see, most Motorola Bravo phones only run Android 2.2.1 but ONLY CONSUMER CELLULAR VERSIONS RUN ANDROID 2.2.2 SO FINDING ONE WITH 2.2.2 IS VERY RARE AND VERY SOUGHT AFTER. Here is a link to the Amazon product page:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846
EDIT: I actually made a mistake. The one for 50 USA dollars is actually not used, it is new as well.
If you were to get this and it is running 2.2.2 Froyo as its Android version, me and the rest of the Motorola Bravo fans out there would ask you to first perform a system dump of all the Android 2.2.2 files before replacing the Android version with another ROM. To see what I am talking about with the whole Android 2.2.2 on Motorola Bravo thing (and to learn how to perform a system dump as well) take a look at this thread here:

@jasonmerc 55usd is too high, you can buy an atrix by 60
It was the lowest price I have seen for this phone anywhere. He told me he bought his phone in Pakistan where he is, and he said he bought it off of some guy and not on an online service like Amazon. So when it comes to buying one where you are (Santo Domingo) an online service might be your only easy option to buying a phone.

jason answered your question before me ... thanks jase, but yeah i got it here from a dude who imports these phones and sells them cheap, i got it for very cheap since it was in a rough condition, almost for free but since i've been using it, it's a very capable small cute phone, here you can get it for as low as 20 in good condition, and yeah an atrix HD for like 70 dollars here

Unlocking retro Nokia 6300

Hi.
I have an old Nokia 6300 (RM-217) locked to Orange that I want working on o2.
I am having a hard time tracking down a method of unlocking it for free as many of the threads dedicated to this phone end in dead links due to them being very old.
I have seen a few mentions of a code only calculator but the only one I can find is this http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f299/unlock-bb5-real-dejans-free-solution-401952/
which requires a box and cable.
Various unlocking sites say they still offer codes for the 6300 but on clicking through they then either dont or want £40 for it.
Just wondered if anyone has any application sitting around that does this?
Thanks.

¿Why LG G8 don't have any custom rom?

I was about to buy this phone and like all the ones I buy I go to XDA to check if it has a developer to back it up but I find that it does not have anyone.
My question is ... Why doesn't he have anyone behind him? Is the phone itself like Sprint's LG G5 that is almost impossible to modify or is it just a dead cell phone?
-I using a translator, if we see an error gramatically
.
Nothing?
Because it may not be a popular/interesting device?
Because LG gave up the smartphone business and support is dodgy?

I understand, I am obliged to look for a phone that has support in XDA, I close post
Most variants of this device are bootloader locked. It would be nice if LG would unlock the bootloaders considering they're ditching the business.

Couldn't it be demanded? Right now, LG phones are cheaper than any mid-range, taking this into account and that they were withdrawn from the market, it would be a very good idea to release it. Is there any way to get in touch with them or guy to get it released?

I dunno, I don't work for them.
Not likely though considering they only currently support a few devices for that, and they'll be shutting the site down: https://developer.lge.com/resource/mobile/RetrieveBootloader.dev
