does anyone use linaro + franco?
edit:
if you're using it please provide some info
which build/rom/revision/etc
is it really faster?
is it stable enough?
is everything works?

Wouldn't franco slow the linaro back down?!
Um someone on the linaro build cm9 posted that they (I am too) are using it and milestone 4 works for it .
Mines quick as **** so Idk.
But good point.
I would think it would slow it down
But I'm no brainiac so...

Franco, as far as I know, hasn't updated to the Linaro toolchain yet.
The only Kernel Dev who I CAN confirm has updated would be Imoseyon.

And Fugumod.
I have been using Franco 221 Linaro for a couple of days now, it's working fast and stable but I have not done any benchmark or battery comparisons to stock Franco 221 to compare.
223 Franco is out now but no Linaro build for it yet, it's hard enough finding changelogs as the new nightlies are released yet alone constantly flashing. Will stick with Linaro 221 for awhile methinks

Overclocking doesn't necessarily man it's better. I'm using francos but undertaking it to 1000. still smooth and lasts longer

you can still find his old kernels somewhere.... just search for it.

It's pretty easy to switch between kernels (just put the zip on your external and flash with CWM). Try em both out and let us know which one you think is better.
I'm using Franco's kernel atm and think it's great (still on 18.4) but haven't used the Glados one.
Alright thanks for the input everyone!
It depends on what you need, battery life or performance. etc ?
I've been having alot of problems with screen artifacts showings in pictures. I'm running Franco's milestone 3 with HD.rev 3.0.
Can anyone give me a.hand please it's getting quite annoying !

Try a different kernel, Franco does a lot of demanding tweaks with his (Including GPU overclocking).

Are you sure this is full linaro? not just the kernel compiled with linaro?
You have set TARGET_TOOLCHAIN_ROOT to linaro toolchain in build/core/combo/TARGET_linux-arm.mk ?
If so, well done!
I'd be interested to see the changes you've made to the source tree to resolve the build errors. Is your code up on github?

FYI, Trickster also now works on the Nexus 10. Not sure if the Play Store has been updated yet for it but the latest Manta beta version supports everything that Trickster normally does
Looking forward to doing some testing with this kernel as well.

It contains some CM tweaks if you read the Liquid ROM OP. Those CM tweaks are probably what's causing the bootloop. I'm assuming the ROM has to be pure AOSP based.
Pure Aosp based? That's a bit difficult. I'm also on Liquid smooth.

I'm not a dev nor do I have any dev knowledge, so I don't know. It's not the fact that it has "CM" parts in it that doesn't make it work, but CM has a tweak in there that makes this kernel bootloop. If AOKP also has the tweak, then it's going to bootloop as well.
Just make a nandroid and try it.

AK Kernel Diamond Edition v33 and Slim Bean. I pretty much crack-flashed my way through official Vanir nightlies, Atom, Commotio, unofficial Xylon and PA in the past two weeks. Slim Bean is the perfect combination of speed and features for me. AK Kernel is the best kernel I have ever run, concerning battery life and smoothness. I highly recommend it.

Leankernel is good, maybe one of my favorites that I have used. On rootz the community is awesome though its quiet now. I think it's a good choice.

Thanks. Trying it now.
As my sig states, I'm running JellyBro CM10.1 nightlies (I update every week or so) and AK Kernel. I'm currently on AK Diamond v33. So far, it seems that Dynamic FSync is helping performance, though I need to let the phone get some longer uptime to be certain.
I'm currently running Carbon 1.6 with AK's Diamond kernel. Incredibly smooth even while underclocked. Not to mention I generally get pretty darn good battery life with Carbon. Sometimes up to 4.5 hours of screen on time with a 2200mah battery.
Where exactly can I find AK kernel? This is such a nooby question I just can't seem to find it
