Examples?

Try a different kernel, Franco does a lot of demanding tweaks with his (Including GPU overclocking).

[Q] Unable to get 1.4ghz using mod

Hello,
When i try to run the 1.4ghz hack, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1380064),
I get stuck on the google screen.
And when I try to use franco's kernal it all works but I have a max cpu of 1200mhz.
Has anyone else eccounted the same problem and how do you fix it so you get the 1400mhz.
Thanks
The kernel from that link is 4.0.2. Franco's latest kernel doesn't have OC. Try one of the other 4.0.3 kernels that can OC such as Apex on rootzwiki.

I treid it with paulobriens mod but don't know how to get it to work.

If you are getting stuck at the Google screen it means your phone can't handle 1.4ghz

Im having the same problem. I think the kernal i was using is for 4.0.3 only.. i missed the 4.0.2 version by a day. My only hope is that when 4.0.3 su.zip comes out in a few weeks it will work then because im not sure i want to port it from another device

I believe they're 1.4, but if you read the thread in the dev section about overclocking/undervolting patches it explains a lot in regards to why the phones won't boot/lag when it comes to all of this.

Zenonia 4

Is this game optimized for ICS yet? It runs descent but lags often while it runs perfect on my old HTC Sensation.
I'm running Ir11 Beta 1 with Franco kernel clocked at 1350mhz Max 700mhz Min and francoGazelle governor.

Are you running any specific kernel? If yes what are your settings? I'm so hesitant to revert to a lower version then 4.0.4 because of the multi touch fix that goes with it.

Uh I was using the newest Faux kernel at 850 Max and 700 lowest

Wow installing faux's kernel seems to have fixed the lag! I was starting to doubt this phones performance xD.

No lag for me at all.. until I reached to the heavenly realm (level 45 ish). frustrating to play because of the high graphics in each screen. currently running AOKP m3 with lean kernel
Laggy for me too, I am running stock.
At the beginning it was all fine, then it started to lag.
Might be an ICS issue?
Laggy for me too...running Franco Kernel 17.2
Laggy for me too and gets really hot! It reminds me when using the sgs2 with Grand Prix Story...same result...it was really buggy while it runned very smoothly on htc Desire that had really inferior hardware.
Let's hope Gameevil will fix this.
Anyway switching from Franco Kernel to Faux improved the situation...less lag

[Q] Milestone 5 or Slim 3.5 ?

I'm confused which one to use.
Slim 3.5
Anyway - what rom is the best, is a personal thing. What works for me might not work for you Just try some roms and stick with what suits you best.

Thanks! Actually I am running Slim 3.5 but sometimes have experience FC on browser was thinking to try Milestone 5.
I would recommend M5 or the AOKP Nightlies. Very stable, no FC and LOTS of tweaks and stuff in ROM Control in the phone menu.

Its really personal decision. As for me, I'm using AOKP M5 + Franco Kernel. Buttery smooth and very good battery. Absolutely love it. Also tried with "stock" faux kernel and its really good, but I prefer franco because its really fast and good for battery.

I recommend aokp milestone 5 with trinity kernel i am running 1344/345 and gpu over clock to 499. Its flawless and quadrant around 3500

Best kernel for my stock rom

I have the latest 4.0.4 update from vzw. I flashed it along with the radio. I was just wondering a sweet kernel that will improve the experience. Thought? Tips? Thanks in advance.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
should try franco kernel with stock. Gave me around 3-4h screen on and didn't drain battery life when the phone was in sleep.
CMPlus
+1 for Franco. I get 4.5-5.5 hours of screen on time on a daily basis.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP+Franco
Try Franco.Kernel
I'm getting 4:30 to 5 hrs screen-on time with Franco Kernel Milestone 4
It's the best
Imoseyon's lean kernel on rootzwiki has been the best for me. I set it to interactivex, for best performance and battery life.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
Pretty subjective topic. You can really use any kernel with similar results.
"Long is the way, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light."
I flashes Franco but got the whole music not playing bug so I'm using the imoseyon or whatever that is..

I vote for Franco's kernel also.
I also recommend downloading his app from Play, as it supports his efforts and makes flashing the nightly builds easier than it already is.

Franco kernel or GLaDOS kernel.
Trinity Kernel has been my favorite so far.

This was the highest one of mine that ever got posted to the online AnTuTu list:
This was the highest I ever got, but AnTuTu never posted it (which pi$$ed me off royally):

lol, my reaction exactly. After I got finished being upset about it, I realized that if AnTuTu is picking and choosing what scores they post, then there are probably other even higher scores that never got posted, too. I just figured what's the point then, and lost interest.
But I still have the whole nandroid of the special setup I was using, and I might try again one of these days. Whatever. It was fun, but it doesn't really prove anything except that you have a good cooling technique.
Edit: BTW, it was Rascarlo's Rasbeanjelly ROM, 2012-08-09 release, and morfic's Trinity kernel Alpha32, 1728-537 version. Forgot to put that in. And I listened to Simms22 to learn how to do it. I just supplied the ocd, lol.
Here's a "classic" score, before the Transformer came out.
I was on a TW ROM running Siyah :cyclops:
