coolexe has an alignment script that will convert ext3 -> ext4 just before flashing

that is a good place to start - although some of the links are incorrect and I think some are in the wrong categories which is a shame
lothaen, thanks i gave it a go, i have come to the conclusion that i hate sense, i love the way it looks and the customization, but when you get down to the nitty gritty things, i hate it lol
I like sense - but thats just my opnion
fair enough, i want to like it tho

Same with me.
Tried leedroid, oxygen, cm6, cm7, various HD ports and settled down to miui.us 1.7.22.

I love sense and I will go back to it at some point, waiting on Droidzone to update his gingerburst RoM. But at the moment am using MIUI data2ext and its bloody great, love everything about it, at first it looks abit iphoney but you can download alot of themes and change the look.
So try MIUI
No Sense no HTC. If you want no sense buy SG2
And BTW LeeDroid rox
Cool AceS Mix v2,very fast
but no chinese touch input
Beso your hardcore mate, if i can get a sgs2 for £150 of ebay i would mate, but to be honest i hate samsung stuff so it'd be an opx2 for me mate
actually i have tried the 2 hd senses, they feel very laggy to me, is the normal senses a bit faster, i might give them a go, just to spice things up, but even tho i hate apple stuff, i love the miui rom, so classy, i might find a sense rom for backup for when i have an urge for it
The only thing why I would consider miui is auto brightness which works fcuking awesome with it. Otherwise, I'm sticking to my Sense integration wrapped in my LauncherPro theme
im downloading leedroid 3.0.8.2, not the hd one, i'll give it a try, what would you say is the best sense rom? non hd? iv come from having a wildfire, blade and pulse, one thing i will say is that the dev community for the desire is amazing, so many devs, roms, kernels, the works, we are very lucky to be spoilt and have so much to choose from.

Can you Please Post Questions in the Q&A forum Thanks
Moving to Q&A
the first rom i installed was gingervillain 2.0
ive tried several roms, coming and going between them, they all had advantages/disadvantages. but i always keep ending up installing gingervillain. its does everything i need, its quick, it's sense-less (personally dont like it) and as yet, i dont think ive encountered a bug with it.
now running gingervillain 2.7
Redux 1.2, awesomely fast! original android 2.3 without sense or any other big additions. Clean and stable! no bugs so far!

Huh? Sense may be an HTC ui but its not like a Desire wont work without it! In fact it works better without it, have you seen the aosp ROMs out there?

All sense ROMs are a little bit laggy as they kinda bog down the OS.. if you want a very fast and stable ROM, try an aosp ROM like CyanogenMod7.. its awesome! I've heard Oxygen is also very good, its what I'll be trying next

Hi,
i'm using Android Revolution HD 6.3.1 with awesome success - thanks mike1986.
i was looking at leedroid custom rom and noticed you can have custom lockrings for his rom. i tried on ARHD 6.3.1 and the phone got to the lock screen but that was it.
i've searched the ARHD dev thread but found no answer, can custom lockrings be put onto ARHD, and is the a guide on how to make them, or a list of them?
thanks

That is due to the new base the rom is based off of. That version the coding changed and the older lockscreens don't work.
ahh, thanks, makes sense.
i'll wait and see what happens unfortunaltey coding does not run in my blood!
Yeah they changed the code for the HTC proprietary files that have not been cracked yet.
oh right, i thought it was just modifiying something, i guess with ICS in betas everywhere, this might not be looked it.

Oh no do t think that. There are those that don't use CM based roms. Me for example. Some really like sense. I use it as the OEM bases have better drivers then the AOSP. To be honest I have been able to get the old lockscreens to work on the new base but am looking to make sure there are no issues. I run a senseless rom for the most part so I am not sure if it works with all of sense still installed.
cool, i'll keep an eye out, see what happens.
thanks very much for your help
Keep the good working
we all wait for your work
thank you
hopefully soon...
Hi guys!
Yeah, I know that everybody has his/her favourite rom, but I have a question. May wife has a Galaxy Y, and sometimes it makes weird things, so a I decided, to flash a new rom. (I have SGA, so I know something about flashing Samsung devices... )
What are your suggestions, guys?
I'm looking for a rom that's very close to stock look, very stable, but has good battery handling, and good performance. Is it too much? I hope no. Can you advise something? Maybe there's a modded stock rom, which has custom kernel, system format is ext4, and maybe has som tweak...
I need your help!
Creeds 2.0 is closest to stock, i suppose. But I would advise ChobitsDigitalis V2. Stable and good performance.
Sent from heaven!
Use stock & flash it with Merruk kernel, theme it wit go launcher or any other launcher that suit u (Play Store) & u still can add some tweak or apps to it

Arrrgh.... I (and my wife too) love TouchWiz... Yeah, you could say it's worse, than others, but I like it.
Don't you know which stock or custom roms have hungarian swype? (Okay, custom is easy: install swype beta.)
Maybe I will stick to stock , change kernel, make some UOT- mods, and hope that she'll like it...

So here is the link to my viper Rom review on HTC one x: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bL7Yp2qND1o&list=UUAQeqnc4dLhv5v1MkSI6Mhg&index=2
Nice video;
but for me the viper has too much to edit,i dont need that, with ics sometimes i installed the viper, there the rom was ok,for me.
I just instelled the or-droid rom(new base)+both mods from lyapote,both for 3.18...,and a mod for the htc5-lockscreen
Man,i didnt saw any rom running so good, its nearly perfect,i use that with the stock-htc kernel, good and stable;you can install the rom as sensless too,
try it,and you feel the difference!
nice day
manne
I have a rooted kindle fire, I initially use to have a custom rom on it (can't actually remember the roms name now). I enjoyed the beam when the kindle was entering lock screen mode.
But then I switched to GalaxySbean v1.2 (I was impressed with the features it had). But alas I lost the beam!!!
I've googled and search for help but to no avail. I would have posted in the development thread but me being a newbie I wasn't allowed to.
Please help me get my electron beam back! Pleeeeeaaaaaaassssseeee.......
Thanks in advance

I think you had cm10 and not 10.1 . I don't think any cm10.1 based ROM has crt off animation. I personally don't know how to edit the ROM to enable CRT. It might have something to do with the build prop.
But for the most part, your out of luck.

Actually, it's the framework-res.apk. In GB and ICS, you had to decompile, edit a line and recompile. I'm not sure if it's as simple with JB.
RE:
HellFire Jelly Amazon Kindle Fire 1.3 <----- that was my first rom that had electron beam.
Here's the link

I am 100% positive it was jelly bean based.
But while going through the developers thread(GalaxySbean v1.2 my present rom), he made mention of enabling it in one of his updates. But after that he never made mention of it again. So I think its possible.
Here's a link to my present rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2103278
I need to post on the forum 8more times before I can post in developers thread.... I would have asked them directly.
I love the GalaxySbean v1.2 rom and I really want to stick to it.
Still waiting for a reply...
Thanks for the quick reply.....
So that is to say that we are gonna get an update to your ROM soon.....
*fingers crossed*
