[Q] Port for B.O.S. Liquid Metal?

I was looking around the evo section and I came across this build of the Acer Liquid on the evo. I know a lot of people were interested in it back when IncDoes ported it to our incs but it wasn't a daily driver. It seems like bmxerkid954 on the evo forum has done a pretty good job of making it a whole lot better. Just was wondering if anyone could port it over?

Hey, doing a quick google I found this. Would that ROM work with this thing? Anyone willing to try it? I can't atm because I'm right in the middle of a project for school and I need my phone for communication...

Of all the roms we should really try to get ported to the incredible, this is it. I keep seeing requests for roms which are just themes ported over and never bother with them. This one has unique UI aspects which are worth the trouble.

Alright, good to know

I agree, and for the skilled developers in this forum I don't think it would be that time consuming. I don't think it's too hard since the Evo framework is so much alike the incredible's. But then again I don't know much anyway.

alot. EVO's frame work is pretty similar. Incredible rEVOlution, Myn's warm two point two and incredibly re-engineered all use EVO framework, and there are probably more.

Hey all I just wanted to introduce myself

Im Alex and i just got this awesome phone a few weeks ago and i just got around to rooting it last week.. Im currently on Malice which is infriggincredable this and blue ray are just pure friggin art.. you guys are def masters of your craft.. I came here from the galaxy s 4g forum for which raver is single handedly doing awesome things there.. I just had to have this beast of a phone.. i chose the white one cause i like the silver around the white.. anyway i just wanted to say hi to all.. this is the second phone ive rooted so im pretty much a newb.. im not a flashoholic however these incredible roms make it difficult not to.. thank you to all you all for all the great work you do....

Thanks alot for welcoming me.. And yes I know about the lack of particular roms.. I read what was on here before I purchased the phone, so its all good.. You have some really great devs doing really great work on this awesome device.. I DO read before i've gotta ask a question though so that's ask good.. Just got this phone a few days ago and aside from the lack of AOSP im really liking it.
I didnt even get logged into google before i had it rooted caint stand bloat. Thanks to everyone who made the rooting process so friendly it was the easiest phone i have rooted yet.

XDA-developers is a staple site for me. I check for new roms/mods/etc. every day multiple times a day. I finally got around to creating an account now that I feel I might be able to help others from experiences I've had. More so I've been scared to join for fear of being accused of noobdom.
Rooted and rommed Mytouch 4G, G2x, Sensation 4G, Amaze 4G, and waiting on my Galaxy S2 to come back from Samsung for an LCD replacement so that I can get my flashing fix! (I've been dying trying to use a blackberry in it's week's absence...)
Anyway, it's great to see that a fellow new member was treated with such kindness. Hopefully I'll receive the same hospitality.
Also, as a CS major I hope to be joining the actual developers soon. Learning my way around java and the android SDK at the moment. Wish me luck!

Welcome! As a fellow CS major - well CS grad student currently gearing up to defend my thesis - it's good to have more CS people around As an AI guy - I have to tell you that it gets a bit stuffy in here at times with all of the embedded systems types around LOL

Starting Off, I just wanted to thank everyone again for getting me the T989, I love this Phone & I love everyone at xda for it as well!!!
Now, I can't help but laugh because when I first got this device I seen a ton of posts *****ing about the Rom selection...

GB TW
GB CM7
MIUI/CM7 GB ( Coming today )
The Dev, has really picked up as of lately on this device & I can't be more happier than I am now

Though I thank them, it is a bit of a stretch to say we would have nothing. If anything, we just wouldn't have ICS yet.

Yeah the development is coming along nicely now. All the people who jumped ship for the nexus will be regretting it, very soon. This phone is the best phone I've had hands down, even the stock rom was quite usable. (Which in my experience, is rare.) I also love the fact that everyone is working together now, it's great, everybody wins.

Its nice to see some all these great roms. The hard part is choosing one.

Eh. While I'll miss Eugene's (along with other dev's) ROMs I'm not regretting the switch so far, especially once the next android update/version comes around

Publicly not to my knowledge, There maybe someone somewhere trying.After the issue we(E4GT Community) went through regarding the sense project build I doubt it.
There some amazing T.W builds Done by Team Rejectz Venum Nocturnal and others.

I think that's the project OP was referencing. I am not familiar with the whole debacle; however, I have gathered through various comments some kind of scam took place. It's a shame (for development and the community's sake) that the project had to end as it did. I personally don't like sense anyway, but it still would've been cool to have the option.

I really don't want to relive that mess, however to sum it up briefly I doubt there will be sense after what happened happened.

ahh man thats a bummer I like the sense roms and wouldn't mind having one.

From what I know I think the thread was closed by mods for no real thought toward the project. Its probably still open but most of the thread is chit chat.

Ever hear of a thing called search? Anyways the community donated enough to get Swamp Goblin from the NS4G community to attempt a port of Sense, he received the phone, there was very little almost zero communication about progress. He supposedly was finishing up the last semester of school, then he had work, and a girlfriend, with very little time to work on development. Everyone got upset and wanted to know what he was doing with it and if he could send the device to someone else to work on the project. He finally came back with a booting but very broken from. No one has heard from him since then.
In my opinion he got a free upgrade from the NS4G and he is using the ET4G as his daily driver now or his girlfriend got a new phone to use.
Either way the community feels scammed and currently the Sense project is dead in the water.

If it's closed its for a good reason believe me.rehashing this will leave a sour taste in people's mouths I promise.
Money was donated for a phone than once phone was purchased as you can see no Rom..

All I can say is to get off the S.G subject.... xbox said he will try to get us a booting sense 2.1 port since sense 4 is not working for many devices currently...

Pretty much this. I know it sucks, and I wish I could do more, but the fact is nothing can be done. Just learn from your (our) mistakes and keep moving forward. This is just going to leave a sour taste in everyone's mouth and until someone is ready to take on the project, I think we should leave it at that for now.

Question about android development

Why are there 5 different "Team Venum" Roms? I understand trying to give variety but honestly I don't see a difference in them. Minus the themes..
Seems kind of stupid to have that many rom posts. Just saying.

Thank you for being ungrateful.....I appreciate any development done for phone..... they do allot for this phone ...wow go look at some phones that have maybe one Rom or none ....and you post this about having too many :banghead::banghead::banghead:

We are just trying to give some variety. Some people like it and some people don't. It's hard to please everyone, but we are just trying to have some fun doing it. I know when i first got my og epic i used to love flashing different roms built from the same stock based Rom just to see the variety. But i guess everyone has different opinions. Great thing about XDA is that you do have other options.

I think this is a good time to say thanks to everyone with team venom for all the hard work they put in to give us all these incredible roms so thanks

I'd like to think that people would appreciate the variety of different roms made available to the public... as our devs are becoming more familiar with their devices and what's happening in the background.
These folks spend countless hours putting these roms together, whether it's "the same rom with a different theme, " or not.
It's pretty disheartening reading that you felt the need to start a thread revealing just how little appreciation you have for their efforts.

He should have clearly stated that cause it seemed like he was being ungrateful for to many roms with just the difference is a theme. I'm sorry I just believe that devs deserve more credit that is been given. So anybody being ungrateful or down right rude to devs is goin to hear it from me haha
