I was looking around the evo section and I came across this build of the Acer Liquid on the evo. I know a lot of people were interested in it back when IncDoes ported it to our incs but it wasn't a daily driver. It seems like bmxerkid954 on the evo forum has done a pretty good job of making it a whole lot better. Just was wondering if anyone could port it over?
Here is the link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=903470
That looks hot. You have my interest. Bump for this thread.
+1 for a port, looks awesome

Agreed. +1/bump
I've wanted liquid since IncDoes teased it on twitter... I would gladly pay a dev for his time to port this over.
Hey, doing a quick google I found this. Would that ROM work with this thing? Anyone willing to try it? I can't atm because I'm right in the middle of a project for school and I need my phone for communication...
Of all the roms we should really try to get ported to the incredible, this is it. I keep seeing requests for roms which are just themes ported over and never bother with them. This one has unique UI aspects which are worth the trouble.

Alright, good to know
I agree, and for the skilled developers in this forum I don't think it would be that time consuming. I don't think it's too hard since the Evo framework is so much alike the incredible's. But then again I don't know much anyway.

alot. EVO's frame work is pretty similar. Incredible rEVOlution, Myn's warm two point two and incredibly re-engineered all use EVO framework, and there are probably more.
Oh man this would be awesome, somebody please pick this up
+1 for getting this ported. Looks sweet.

no because i want the devs to see it. if we get some big names behind this im sure it could happen. even devs at precentral are onboard. webos 2.0 + the evo = WIN!
edit:too late i guess!
really? no interest at all?
If the hardware were better I would probably still be rocking webos but android is pretty good, too. Best multitasking I've seen was webos.
I would love if this happened!! I love playing with my wifes palm pre!
would love to see this on the evo
i cannot believe it but it looks like they got it booting now... can we get some evo devs to help out and port this sucker over here? ill donate heavy for this!
they said they should have a youtube video up sometime soon. i hope palm doesn't try anything now that they got it working.
seriously... no ones interested? can i get a mod to move this to the dev section please.
I for one think that webos 2.0 is kinda nice. I prefer my android but webos is cool in its own right.
I would like a dual booting option.

how long has Gingerbread been out? Give it some time.
Did the Evo get Froyo the second it dropped?
People always forget that the DEV's have a fulltime job, families, a life away from the internet, etc., etc. Most importantly, most Devs do this for FUN. When people post **** like this it starts to feel like work, or ungratefulness, which does NOT translate to FUN. When there is no more fun in it good luck finding any Dev to get things out you want. *shrug* Food for thought.

there are plenty of people on this site that have no common sense, and more that do, but to post something and be a little vague about it doesn't help unless you specify for all to understand, we all should know by now that only a Sense rom is fully technically fully functional, close's AOSP comes is CM, minus 4g and hdmi, but that should be fixed in due time, right.

Thank you for this. The more I do this the less fun it is becoming. Some days when I read some of these post I wonder why I even bother. Every so often someone will actually thank me for taking the time to do what it is that I do. Time that I spend away from my family. Ya I'm still in the same room but not paying as much attention to my 7 year old daughter as I would if I wasn't doing it. Ya its my choice but is a little gratitude too much to ask?

Hey guys, don't know how many of you are from the Ol' Eris forums on
XDA, but I'm sure a lot of you remember Tazz and the Rom's he built
for us all there.
He's been going through some times lately and, personally, I think the
guy needs some diversion! My thoughts would be to get him back in the
game here, pumping out Roms again! Just wondering what everyone thinks of getting him back in the Rom business again!? I know he doesn't have a laptop to work with right now, but I'm sure he'll get
things set back up if enough people draw some interest around him...
If you guys are interested in having another great Dev added to the
community, post it here!
The more the better! Never had an Eris but I've read about you and knipp and others saying he's an awesome dev
yeah, I remember Tazz on the Eris forum. Sorry to hear he's been struggling, and would love to have him on the Dinc2 forum dev'ing ROMs. What are you envisioning?
I loved his rom's for the eris. I was wondering where he went. I would love to flash one of his.
Never had an Eris personally, but I rooted my wife's Eris and remember loading his ROMs up a few times. Definitely would love to see another dev around here.
Eris was my first love.
phone was great and the Devs were even better.
one of the first ROMs I ran was his and would love to see him back around!

I always love to see a familiar dev from the Eris. Tazz would definitely be a welcome site around here.

That's just the rom. Yes there has been talk about getting a dev to help out but its not like its in the title of the thread.
All im trying to do is get someone's attention to help out w/ getting cdma for verizon users to work for that rom.
Obviously no one seems to care to try or they're busy doing something else.
The dev himself is trying to make the CDMA version of it. It says:
CDMA Users: Still working on it.
Also its not that we don't care here, please keep in mind we are down to a couple devs, aero just got married and is moving and if I'm correct, another dev had his dinc2 crap out on him, be patient and someone will help

Nits is also real busy and even stopped developing his own MIUI because of it. He's got a lot to do between UKB for us and working on the Inc4g. I hope he can get some time to work on it though since he probably is the most familiar with MIUI of all the Inc2 devs right now and I really wanna go back to MIUI. But its up in the air.
It just boils down to that we don't have that many developers at the steering wheel of a DINC2 right now. Not like we have 20+ devs.
Sorry of this seems like a smart reply, just how I write and my personality tend to be.

Anyone else a bit bummed over nit's decision to pull the ROM, at virtuous team's request. Sucks and understandable though... Sad part was about to give it a try, as I'm done waiting for an official ICS release for the Dinc2 and wanted to move on from GingerBangSense "M".... If only I had checked a few mins earlier....

Yeah I mean... what's the point of not letting devs use the m10 tools? Virtuous doesn't get money if people use their rom, unless people donate.. I mean... it's just really nonsensical to me.

guys, please dont get irritated at all anyone
virtuous guys spent a long time resizing a ton of things, and apparently want it exclusive to their infinity project, and i can totally undestand that
on my part, back when i added the m10 from their rom into ukb i should have checked with them first, but several other full sense 4 roms already had used it for a few weeks, so i thought nothing of it...the distinction is that the m10 tool is for anyones usage....the work theyve done with the tool on their own for their roms, is not (its actually encrypted)
and iirc their sharing policy was that no one needed to ask permission anymore, just to credit properly and give them the heads up (me mentioning it irc when no one was around was probably not good enough on my part lol)
i guess they just dont pay attention to xda much aside from their own threads, but when torxx posted viperDHD and it got 50k views in like a day, it made someone notice and they actually looked into it
its over as far as im concerned, and im sorry that months ago i didnt properly verify with them if i could use it..no execuse for that really
anyway, one of the members of team blackout is working on the m10 now for rosie, and portrait is already done (see my post in viper thread) and hopefully we ll be back up soon (week or less)
it is what it is, but apologies for the abruptness of how it went down...and remember, without them develping m10 tools in the first place, we d have nothing to work with!
I do appreciate your explanation Justin. I was having a hard time reconciling what was going on regarding m10 and the virtuous team and my previous view of the virtuous team. I can see where you went awry with no ill intent. Hopefully, in the long run, no harm no foul.
Thanks again so much for your efforts.
