[Q] Can't acces bootloader after RUU-update attempt. - Desire General

Hey everyone.
This is my first thread. I hope I've posted it in the correct forum. I couldn't find any information about this errer in the forum. If there's one I would be glad if you could link it to me
My problem is:
I've tried to run a RUU-update while I had a custom ROM, but it went wrong. Error 110
I couldn't acces the recovery or the ROM. But then I searched the forum and found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1341794
I had the same problem as the above link.
I am now able to get into the recovery and into the ROM, but every time I reboot I have to use my computer (and type in cmd: fastboot oem boot) in order to acces the ROM.
I've tried to run the RUU from a different computer as suggested in the thread about the EVO, but it didn't work.
The RUU I tried to run is the following:
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Bra...io_32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11_release_121865.exe
So how do I "install" or make the bootloader appear again?
Thanks in advance.
If you need any more information I will try my best to give it to you.
edit:
When I'm in the Rom I can't reboot into recovery or bootloader when holding the power button down. I only see the screen with four small triangles in the corners...

you may have a look on bortak's troubleshooting guide... a lot of useful stuff there...I'm not going to explain it as it is for a bit long he will take care of you

It worked!
I followed the guide

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
1. No. Your phone is not bricked (Touch wood)
2. Make a goldcard. You need it. (Check goldcard section for help)
3. Set up ADB (android de-bug bridge), it's useful when things go wrong.
4. RUU's are DANGEROUS to your phones well-being. Only use them when you absolutely have to.

[Q] Desire fails to enter recovery

Hi, sorry in advance if I missed solution somewhere but I have tried searching for answers. Either nothing works or problem is slightly different to other reports.
My problem is that following upgrade to CM7 RC, I believe the wrong Google Apps was installed. In a nutshell, now my phone wont boot into Android. I tried booting into recovery, I get to the first screen, and select recovery, phone vibrates and then I get the HTC logo come up and at that point phone freezes with no response until I remove battery.
I have followed various guides re unbricking but to no avail. Issue seems to be that ADB cant identify my phone or no drivers are present to allow me to unbrick. I am running Windows 7 64bit and understand this could be an issue. Please point me to the latest guide in unbricking as there is heaps out there but some very old.
Thanks P
You could try an ruu then root again. Yes it is a pain but might be a faster fix than actually finding a thread. If you can't then look through the Android Development thread. There are a few guides in there somewhere and also look in the Desire Index thread as well

what should i do?
for starters, provide more information, or else throw it away and get a new phone.
what should you do.....
have you tried anything before posting, like searching or google .
at least have a look at bortak's troubleshooting guide, it's stickied to the top of Q&A
if after actually trying to understand your own problem and it still doesn't work, post there or here...
in future please be more specific when reporting problems. you get better answers this way. at this point we have no idea if you're rooted/s-off/which rom/what you were doing....

1. You dont flash hboot cm7r2 to oxygenr2 without flashing the downgrader inbetween.
2. Since you weren't successful on changing your hboot and probably didnt put it back to stock hboot first, that ruu ain't gonna work.
3. As of this post, you have been replying bits and pieces of information. Why haven't you posted ALL the technical details of your phone? What hboot is in there right now? You want help, then provide enough information for people to work on.

Returning HTC Wildfire to Factory Condition

Hi, I'm planning on resetting my HTC Wildfire to "Just out of box" condition but I honestly have no idea how to go about it nowadays. I haven't touched my Wildfire's software in almost a year so I'm out of touch with a lot of the processes that are involved in changing the ROM/software. I'd appreciate some help on the matter and I have a few specific questions to start with.
1) Do I need the "shipped ROM" for my Wildfire? If yes, where do I get it? And how do I find out which one to get?
2) How do I "install" the ROM once I get it? I'm currently using Cyanogenmod 7, Revolutionary, and Clockworkmod Recovery.
3) What are the pre-flash steps that I need to take before I install the stock ROM?
4) After I flash the stock ROM, can I update it to the latest available firmware through OTA?

Nice. I didn't see that while I was searching the forum for a guide. I'll try that one out. Thanks a lot.
Update: I check it out and it didn't state where I can get the stock RUU for my phone and how I can find out which RUU to download and install.

Wildfire(Buzz) ROMS can be found here
The RUU you want to install should support your CID.So first of all check your CID.
Here are the steps :
>Install the SDK and set up the ADB
> Reboot your phone into the Bootloader via ADB
(Connect your phone with the pc, make sure it says "USB debugging connected", go to Android/platform-tools/ & then press shift while you perform a right click with the mouse, then choose "open prompt here", type
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
& press enter.Your phone will reboot into the Bootloader)
>To test if your phone has been detected by running this command
Code:
fastboot devices
It should show your device.
>Then run this command
Code:
fastboot getvar cid
Your CID will be shown.
Now you can verify your operator/region here.
By and large RUU’s are named as
RUU_Buzz_<HTC/OPERATOR>_<REGION>_<VERSION>_Radio_<RADIO_VERSION>_release_<RELEASE_CODE>.exe
Eclair RUU versions begin with 1.x
While Froyo RUU versions begin with 2.x
For more details go through 3xeno's thread
Hope that helps.

Help in solving bootloader issue

Please I have a peculiar problem, I pray you can assist me. I tried to root my telus dhd using advanced hack kit, after running the hack kit the phone failed to reboot. It stock at a blank bLack screen. To solve that, I mistakenly flash a froyo pd98img on a GB ROM. Since then, the phone takes about 20 to 30 minutes to boot. It will start with a splash screen and vibrate for about 10 minutes then takes another 10 minutes to boot. The problem is I can't enter boot loader and I can't use the hack kit again to return to stock since the phone won't reboot in the process.
I will appreciate any help. Thanks for your time.
And why exactly can't you enter the bootloader? Remove and re-insert your battery, Press Vol Down and Power button to boot into the bootloader.
Can you post the text that appears on the bootloader? Is your phone S-OFF yet?

Yes, it's messed up bootloader. Yesterday on #ahksupport, @attn1 gave an adb command, which after typing it, The phone booted to a black screen with HTC on it. Then he gave me a link to a file which he ask me to paste in cmd window. But unfortunately he changed his mind due my inability to respond swiftly to his question.
I have found the PDF, will give it a try. Thanks
Update: This is the file uploaded to by @attn1 yesterday. I believe it's an extracted and unlocked bootloader. The only problem is that I don't know how to flash it. If anyone can assist me.

Ok, this is what you have to do. I sent you the pastebin link in the IRC channel yesterday but afterwards attn1 told me that that solution would not work in your case. You need to flash that HBOOT in this way:
Code:

that is normal as you don´t have a RUU in your phone. Does it still take long time to boot in hboot? from there you should be able to flash a RUU as that hboot supports multiple CIDs
I don't think it worked as he is still showing the .007 boot which is froyo.
Question why wouldn't your guide work in this case? Is it because of it being the nam version(pd12000 vs pd10000)? Hboot versions not interchangeable?or something else that as mentioned in the irc

[Q] Rom won't start after flashing

I just got a new HTC One M8, I got it second hand, but kinda new, all rooted and everything, I was told I can just go on
and install new ROM's and it will all work. That didn't work.
I installed roms before, I know what needs to be done. I flashed my HTC Desire HD, hundreds of times.
So I came here, downloaded the new revolution rom from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2694917
I also downloaded the new Venom Rom from this site(to check them both)
Anyway I install the rom, I get these screenshots
Except for symlink fails, it seemed to all work.
I press reboot I get this screen
even when I press install SuperSU, it does something reboots and goes back to recovery, and it won't start my phone.
I tried a few times different ROM's, the SuperSU question keeps coming back everytimes i press reboot from TWRP, and every ROM
I tried won't start, I can only use the recovery.
I have TWRP v2.8.6 - the newest.
Any suggestions? Anything will do!
Thanks
If this helps, before I open the recovery i have this, so you can see my phone information
Try again with TWRP 2.6.3.3

should I be in some window in the pc/phone to run the RUU? becuase I connected my phone and went to fastboot mode, typed in
cmd "fastboot devices" and got the SN and I understood i was connected to fastboot. Then just tried to run the RUU and got
an error, not really sure if I need to run it from a different window or anything

What error? Did it say something and give you a number perhaps?
It might not be the right RUU for your model.
In fastboot, do fastboot getvar all and post the readout here. Delete the serial # and IMEI from it though. That is sensitive and personal information.
I, or someone else if they see this first, will direct you to the proper RUU.

What error? Did it say something and give you a number perhaps?

I don't know. It should work. Try flashing the splash zip first that you can get from here first, then run the RUU as administrator.

The RUU starts and it kinda start installing, but after verfication I go next, and it fails, saying my RUU is not the right version.

Go to where I linked to get the splash zip. Follow those instructions if you haven't already.
After you have flashed that, run the RUU. You may have to run it twice. Don't disconnect or reboot. Just run it a second time.
