so i'm getting a gnex (vzw) on wednesday and i had a look at the one in the vz store and it was running 4.0.2
it lagged....a lot (in the browser)
4.0.3 runs great on my captivate so i was wondering if 4.0.4 fixed that on the gnex.
thanks!

No, we don't. Technically the Verizon version isn't supposed to either. Someone got lucky and it was pushed to their phone and devs got it from him

Thanks a lot everyone!
I cant wait for this phone!!!
Get the GNex and install ....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1481613
The wife and I have both been running this since it leaked .. she even got notification the day before I installed on her for her phone to upgrade to this 4.0.4 update. It appears it was being pushed to some maybe as a test. But in any event 4.0.4 makes this phone great. It has great battery life, it's fast as f*** and just really nice.
Im really tempted to root my Gnex just to flash AOKP or something so i can get at least 4.0.3 up and running. Im still on 4.0.2 and it makes the phone slow and sluggish at times and its really disappointing!
Do it now 4.0.4 has fixed a few problems. I can't wait until the next leak or official update

This.
I still sigh at how slow my store's demo Galaxy Tab 10.1 is. People load it up with crap and throw infinite widgets across 5 home screens each and every day.
Pretty self explanatory from the title. I've seen a bunch of people who have updated from 4.0.2 and welcomed the new changes - but what about us already on 4.0.4? Has anyone gone from IMM30B to IMM76K? What differences did you notice (other than just "better signal") Is it really worth having to wipe our phone for these changes?
Or would waiting to see if a full release comes out so we don't have to wipe our phones is a better option?
Thanks guys.
Just flash the radio's for know and wait for the "Official" release which shouldn't be too far off.

Ditto, I updated my radios but nothing else. I think it'd be a bigger pain to downgrade your whole phone back to 4.0.2 to allow for the proper 4.0.4 update. Easier to wait for an incremental update, or wait for 4.0.5/6

Where the hell is imm76k?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
It's not for AT&T, it's for VZW
IMM76K is a 4.0.4 Verizon Wireless / LTE release for the GNex that appears official and started getting pushed out OTA to a very few regular users and a number of VzW phones (in store displays for instance) over the last two days. At least one user was good enough to copy the zip before it was installed on his/her device and started it, so many others could start trying it as well.

I was on the leaked 4.0.4 radios/BL and flashed back to the 4.0.2's. Applied the zip file on here and upgraded.
Honestly? Not a fan. Probably going to flash back to what I had. Of course, it's all relative to your hardware/location/etc...
My experience. Flash it and see what yours is.

People got it directly from Google's servers. An xda user ran alogcat on a store phone that was showing the update notice. That file name allowed the URL for the update to be discovered. At least that's what happened on xda .

It is only for Verizon GNexuii right now. As for a changelog, well I haven't seen one yet.
I have yakuux and don't want to wipe it and reflash to international version, so that probably means that I won't get the God damn update until like end of the July? Hopefully Google sent the ROM to Samsung already so they can modify it for us before the date...

To be honest I don't think yakjuux will ever see any update. We're the only variant still on 4.0.1 as far as I know. Doesn't seem like Samsung gives a crap about Canada.
I agree and that's why I took the plunge and flashed yakju 4.0.4 and everything seems to be better than on yakjuux 4.0.2.

We've waited for 4.0.2 for six months OTA, much less 4.0.4. And 4.1 will hit YAKJU In July.
Maybe after Google releases the next Nexus phone will YAKJUUX get 4.0.4, and then 4.1. That's a hood reason to go YAKJU - at least the update exists.
Theres no other choice for you man, so backup what you can and wipe that thing, why wait if you dont have to
I was reluctant at first but then my balls grew and i flashed that yakju image, and now its confirmed im getting JB(i hope, better chance than you at least)
So do it(carefully)

I don't think 4.0.2 was ever fully released for yakjuux. I'm still on 4.0.1. They had that faulty version which disabled NFC and bugged the market, so it was pulled quite quickly. No word on any other updates after that.
Flash to yakju or takju IMO. Rip off the band-aid and get it over with.

What failure are you getting? And also what OTA are you waiting for/hoping to receive?
I guess he means JB 4.1
Dude this update hasnt been released yet, mid of the month hopefully
Yesterday I also tried with my GTab 10.1 to manual update, I also got some error messages that the server wasnt reachable or something similar. I waited just a couple of hours and then it worked and told me "no update for you". Guess it was hammered by 7.7 users Just try again
Isn't the Asian one the one still on 4.0.2 or something?

I don't understand why people are hesitant on upgrading their OS manually if they are eagerly waiting for the newest one. There are no drawbacks and you can go to your "official" version any time you want for warranty purpose.

Canada is still on 4.0.1 volume fix, since the Canadian build (yakjuux) didn't receive any updates since. The 4.0.2 update was pushed in February/March but due to NFC issues and Play store issues it was pulled, and never re-initiated.
So Canada is on 4.0.1, yakjuxw is on 4.0.4 along with the Google builds (yakju and takju), and the remaining builds are on 4.0.2.
Imagine you buy any product for it's one specific advertised feature. You pay full price and then surprise: that one feature is just not there. You can easily fix it yourself, but wouldn't you be angry? Everybody knows there are options to flash whatever you want manually, but the point is you were lied to and paid for something that you didn't get.
OK. I am not confident yet to update manually. Have spent the last couple days learning more about this.
My main concern is that when jellybean is released officially. (I know you guys probly have it but I like things to be easy, still find rooting etc to be rather daunting)
My phone isn't much but its rather special

As for the GSM non-yakju/non-takju builds, yakjuux (Canada), yakjujp (Middle East), and yakjuxe (Russia) are on 4.0.1/4.0.2. The remainder have had the 4.0.4 OTA either rolled out, or is in the process of being rolled out.

The process of flashing a yakju or takju ROM (including 4.1) is significantly easier than you might think. No "rooting" required.
Take a look at the flash link in my signature. Part of the first post will show you how to unlock your bootloader, and once that is done, the second post will tell you how to get the official 4.1 build (which can receive OTA updates).

This thread is strictly for people who are waiting for the OTA , no posts about switching to takju allowed or like the last thread the moderator will close it. In this thread yakju users report if they got the ota update , and also talk about there frustrations while waiting for the ota. thats it .
I think there is a problem with the ota , that has to be the reason for the hold up . If there wasn't no problem , they would have rolled it out by now . Hopefully google gets it fixed soon and we too can enjoy some 4.2 goodness
Yeah, its very delayed, this might be like when 4.1 came out.
Yakju users didnt get it till 4.1.1 and by then a bunch of people had jumped to the takju ship.
Well here we are impatienly waiting for Ota
Ps: another rule, dont post stuff like all those "ive got it but it didnt work" or "mine magically transformed into a takju"
