so i'm getting a gnex (vzw) on wednesday and i had a look at the one in the vz store and it was running 4.0.2
it lagged....a lot (in the browser)
4.0.3 runs great on my captivate so i was wondering if 4.0.4 fixed that on the gnex.
thanks!

No, we don't. Technically the Verizon version isn't supposed to either. Someone got lucky and it was pushed to their phone and devs got it from him

Thanks a lot everyone!
I cant wait for this phone!!!
Get the GNex and install ....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1481613
The wife and I have both been running this since it leaked .. she even got notification the day before I installed on her for her phone to upgrade to this 4.0.4 update. It appears it was being pushed to some maybe as a test. But in any event 4.0.4 makes this phone great. It has great battery life, it's fast as f*** and just really nice.
Im really tempted to root my Gnex just to flash AOKP or something so i can get at least 4.0.3 up and running. Im still on 4.0.2 and it makes the phone slow and sluggish at times and its really disappointing!
Do it now 4.0.4 has fixed a few problems. I can't wait until the next leak or official update

I still sigh at how slow my store's demo Galaxy Tab 10.1 is. People load it up with crap and throw infinite widgets across 5 home screens each and every day.

Still haven't got mine. I have the samsung build (forgot what the code is yakjuw?)
Anyways, I really hope we get the updates everyone else is getting because I'm not going to flash to stock google build just to get updates.
I have the samsungbuild (yakjuxw) and i haven't got it yet (norway)
Well I sure hope we get it. That was one of my worries when an XDA forum member first found out there were different builds. Hope we still get updates quickly like the google ones.

We will get it, but those sent from Google will get it everything from 1 day to 1-2 weeks before us i've heard.
They are planing to release 4.0.3 soon too, so we should get 4.0.2 maybe tomorrow if we are luckey.

Both. But the OTA for GSM started happening today and LTE had the 4.0.2 OTA happening yesterday.
The stock image files were released for both (4.0.2) yesterday.
Anyone yet?
Also, does anyone know if Google responded about this? We have a nexus...we should get updates fast and first like everyone else. Ridiculous.
Article posted on Android Central about the app the person developed. The "update" at the bottom of the article sheds some light.

@ajftl There's this nice little app in the market called GN Official Update Checker that tells you your build and if it's updated directly by Google.
I don't want to flash a custom rom but all this talk about the vast improvements in 4.0.3 are making me wonder what the hold up is in rolling it out to Galaxy Nexus owners. At least GSM owners like myself, there aren't any carrier approvals required for that.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Not really sure what the hold up is. I too want the pure stock version of 4.0.3, don't like a lot of customizations are whatnot. Hopefully it will come soon.
I have used Bugless Beast, which is pretty much AOSP with very minor changes and fixes.
I held out for about two weeks lol.
Finally caved, I flashed AOKP and Franco's Kernel. Been loving it ever since I'll never go back to stock.

Nothing wrong with the battery life on the LTE version, you just have to turn off LTE
But then you get not so fast speeds. Verizon 3g maxes out around 3mbps. But most don't see even that. Though I do have to say Verizon 3g handles congestion better.

Are u on 4.0.3? Only happens w that version.
I've been hesitant to root, because the rooting process gives me a panic attack and I don't want to have to re-do it after a push to 4.0.3 happens. I take it there's no assumption yet as to when a push upgrade is due to happen?
I'm hesitant mainly because I'd have to wipe and because Google Wallet is working perfectly right now and I don't want to mess with it.

Waiting for an update is the reason I unlocked and rooted my phone. I'm not interested in waiting.
Pretty self explanatory from the title. I've seen a bunch of people who have updated from 4.0.2 and welcomed the new changes - but what about us already on 4.0.4? Has anyone gone from IMM30B to IMM76K? What differences did you notice (other than just "better signal") Is it really worth having to wipe our phone for these changes?
Or would waiting to see if a full release comes out so we don't have to wipe our phones is a better option?
Thanks guys.
Just flash the radio's for know and wait for the "Official" release which shouldn't be too far off.

Ditto, I updated my radios but nothing else. I think it'd be a bigger pain to downgrade your whole phone back to 4.0.2 to allow for the proper 4.0.4 update. Easier to wait for an incremental update, or wait for 4.0.5/6

Where the hell is imm76k?

It's not for AT&T, it's for VZW
IMM76K is a 4.0.4 Verizon Wireless / LTE release for the GNex that appears official and started getting pushed out OTA to a very few regular users and a number of VzW phones (in store displays for instance) over the last two days. At least one user was good enough to copy the zip before it was installed on his/her device and started it, so many others could start trying it as well.

People got it directly from Google's servers. An xda user ran alogcat on a store phone that was showing the update notice. That file name allowed the URL for the update to be discovered. At least that's what happened on xda .

It is only for Verizon GNexuii right now. As for a changelog, well I haven't seen one yet.
I have yakuux and don't want to wipe it and reflash to international version, so that probably means that I won't get the God damn update until like end of the July? Hopefully Google sent the ROM to Samsung already so they can modify it for us before the date...

We've waited for 4.0.2 for six months OTA, much less 4.0.4. And 4.1 will hit YAKJU In July.
Maybe after Google releases the next Nexus phone will YAKJUUX get 4.0.4, and then 4.1. That's a hood reason to go YAKJU - at least the update exists.
Theres no other choice for you man, so backup what you can and wipe that thing, why wait if you dont have to
