Correct. I would love to have 4g out here. You would think with Phoenix being such a large city (population wise) they would put something here.

I'm curious to know what speeds are like on roaming also, I could prob do it and not get terminated with Sprint cuz I dont use a lot of data. Although I'm getting about 2 megs down anyway, so not to bad.
I wish I could get those 4G speeds! they don't have it around me, it's in like one city in michigan right now smh.

My 3G speeds just beat my 4G speeds.

Not by much but still...

I agree... these are good 3G speeds. I did this a few blocks away from my house. Inside my house 3G ranges between 100kb and 400kb. And 4G does not penetrate the walls at all. I have to stand by the window or go outside to get 1 bar of 4G.

So i updated to from FD16 to FD19 this morning and right away i noticed i was getting amazing 3g speeds ! Before i would get about 50-150 kb down and well now i get 500-1000 kb down. Or maybe sprint just improved their 3g here in my city ? Anyone else getting good 3g speed after updating to fd19 ?

I tried EL13, FB27, EL29 and FD16. FD16 has been the best, pulling 2.25 mbps DL at my house, but I'm going to try FD19 and see if that makes a difference.
Did you guys get over 1 Mbps before you switched to the FD19 modem? I'll have to try it out after I get my replacement phone.

So your saying the Radio Interface Layer and the rest of the Operating system which stands in between the software and the hardware has nothing to do speeds? That would be hard to believe. There is plenty between the radio firmware and the software used to do the testing that can hurt speed.
Not that it normally presents any large issues but it would be foolish to believe it cant.

I live in a suburb of Dallas, and I thought we would get 4G LTE. But our neighborhood is the only one without it according to the coverage map. If you cross the street, however, you get 4 bars of 4G. I was only able to get 10 MBps when I did cross the street.
Even though I do not have 4G, I have noticed an increase in my 3G speeds. Is that part of the plan for when the roll out 4G?

Why is my nexus so slooow?

Hey y'all I just upgraded today and decided to give the nexus a shot. I've upgraded to 4.0.4 and it is not rooted. The download speeds in the play market are abysmal. It literally took almost 5 minutes to download touchdown. Anyone know how to fix this? Im downloading over 3g. I don't have wifi at home. Internet speeds are fine in all other apps. Speed test gives download speed of 1.47mbps and upload of 0.7.
