try the themes given by the devs who made the launchersyou can find a lot of themes on market for free
Themes are themes, launcher is launcher.
Launcher is the home app, for example touchwiz launcher in stock gio.
Cm7 themes are framework mods.

Cm9 doesnt have touchwiz. Its trebutchet cm9 launcher

Hello.
I've used Go Launcher first, then QQ Launcher and now ADW (included in CyanogenMod 7.2-GIO-KANG). My opinion is that every launcher had his specific and pros or cons. Try the most popular of them and use the one u like most. Because for me or other a launcher is great but for you might suck.

Has anyone been working on this? I like the tw widgets and the ease of the ics widget/app drawer. If not i am pleading to the wonderful devs. Is this possible?

You can flash Calkulin's E4GT 2 Rom. After first boot you can choose to use TWLauncher as your default launcher. If it doesn't work, go to
Settings>> Manage Applications<< Scroll down to "Launcher" and clear default

I know that.that is not what I'm asking.I'm asking about a blend between ics and tw. Using the general tw launcher with the app drawer from ics that way the tw widgets arent sized all messed up.

modifying the app drawer to behave like stock ics would have no impact on widget size.
the stock tw widgets are obviously not compatible with the ics launcher because they are made for TW. so again i would like to see a modified TW launcher with the ics app drawer....

I think there's some confusion going on here. Widgets are not all necessarily launcher specific. There are some that are optimized for a certain launcher (as in TW) but that doesn't necessarily regulate them to only being used on that specific launcher.
If you're looking for an ICS look and feel I'd recommend either Apex or Nova from the Play Store.
My personal favorite is Apex. If you're worried about keeping the widgets looking nice you can long press a widget and then resize it. You also have the ability to customize the number of rows and columns to get it feeling 100% perfect.
Nova has a lot of the same things and some people prefer it over Apex but most of the advanced features require you to buy the pro version.
Here's a screenshot of a TW optimized widget I resized in a variety of ways using Apex.

It's really hard to port that lockscreen.
I don't think anyone has managed to do that yet.
The highest it has been ported is to the S2. The problem is that the lockscreen is merged into touchwiz. And Touchwiz is really heavy to fit in the Ace.

Mate,ace has touchwiz.I guess you meant TW5.

As far as I know, Touchwiz 3 works well on Galaxy Ace. Even Touchwiz 4, but not with all features. TW5 is just a holo launcher look alike, but needs too much RAM for it to work.
Nope!TW includes not only the launcher but contact,mms,memo,file manager,task manager etc!
I know that, It's like the whole framework. The mod by CoolCatGetHome is only a holo launcher look alike
And maxx3500 has ported the whole launcher. But, lockscreen is just too much.

Use Go locker with sgs3 theme from play store..
Will give s3 feel for sure..

Touchwiz 4 is just a heavily themed and modded tw3 launcher. It is not possible to make tw4 work on Armv6.
There is a real port of tw5 for all ics devices!

Google search s4 touchwiz launcher and it'll be the 2nd link posted on xda.. download and flash over your 4.2.2 rom any rom.. than Search Google play for cm touchwiz theme install the 5.0 touchwiz them.. and ta da your rom is now touchwiz 4.2.2.. also the s4 launcher comes with the weather widget.. If this is offensive to anyone or has been posted I will take it down otherwise enjoy ..mimics tw exactly..:victory:

Here's the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2322753 and its 4x6 the op said he can do a 5x5 at your request but some widgets cant be resized may look funky and battery is good also its not a ram hogger im on beanstalk and its solid on here try it makes your phone look dope two with halo and pie and customizable will post some more pic... these battery stats are with brightness at 100%
Im on blackliquid 4.2.2 and just flashed this mod. Its however not giving me 4x6. I got a 4x4 like the stock tw launcher. any idea how this happen? . Do i need to setup somewhere?
