Hey guys,
Im very happy with the battery on the note, but Id love to use it further than I actually do. So Im thinking to get a 3030mA battery ( dont know the brand, maybe from Japan, I will buy it in my country ).
My question is, is it recommendable to use a non-samsung battery?. Will it affect in some way the device?. Im planning to using both bateries ( stock and replacement ) if I need to.
And will I get a noticiable upgrade in the life of it?
Thanks!
Usually they're cheap ones that don;t actually have the rated mA that it says, so unless it's from a trusted brand like Ankler, I say don't bother. Also it can be risky to use cheapo batteries.
Get anker
Had one on my i9100 for half a year and now the 2500mah with my note from day one... 0 problems.
And now they have a 2700mah version

There are many good compatible batteries and many poor ones.
Do a forum search and you will find some proven brands.
get good branded one instead of cheap ones
they work well but doesn't gives much juice as they advertised .
I once bought cheap battery for my last phone and the fluid leaked from the battery then damaged the phone!
Since then I always buy original battery for anything.
Thank god it was not on my galaxy note.
yes by all means use a replacement battery. i am using a 5000mah replacement battery that lasts almost two days even with heavy use.

Hey there looking to buy an extra or extended battery for the Evo. From your guys experience which way should I go? I have seen the 2 batteries and charger for 14 dollars from the chinese company but I am wary of buying 2 batteries that don't last as long as my stock one does (unless i get input from you guys that this is not the case!)
Also I'm interested in the extended battery but it seems a bit pricey for the little increase i am going to see. Ok, well any help is appreciated! If the Seido extended one is worth the money i'm willing to shell out for it!
Search is your friend
Don't buy an extended battery unless its a 3500 mah or higher y? Look at batteryboss.Org

I bought the two batteries and they seem fine and also bought a stocker for 15.00 so take your pick... Also they were both new and the knock offs had a charger as well.
Thinking i'm going to go with the stock TP2 battery, little reluctant to buy the ones from China! And the reason i posted a new thread is because all those threads are convoluted. I wanted a thread where people who have already BOUGHT BATTERIES can give their input. Batteryboss is great but still I would like some more input from people who have actually purchased.
Just so you know the stock batteries are made in china as well.
Thanks for that insightful post! Yes i'm aware that basically everything in the phone is made in china what i'm referring to is that at least the HTC OEM batteries make me feel a little more confident than a random company that is able to sell me 2 for $13.00. I have always lived by the saying "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". I have received the TP2 battery and am happy to say that i'm getting the equivalent of what I was getting with the Evo battery.
So, this means that I now have about 14 hours of pretty heavy phone usage (SWEET) which more than readily gets me through the day.
For all of those weary of going the 2 for 13 route, i found an OEM HTC battery seller that sells them for $15.00 and I feel i made the correct choice.
Thanks for the input and good luck to everybody else buying spare batteries. While i'm here anybody know when that sick charging case is coming out?
I buy the knockoff accessories all the time and never have had a problem with them. No I would not feel comfortable leaving one in my phone on the charger all day but used correctly I have never had an issue. Of course it helps to have insurance and Nandroid backups as well! I bought the 2 with charger on eBay and they last just as long as the HTC one.
My question is as I had already calibrated my HTC battery, how do I get the phone to give correct level readings for all 3?
Is the evo battery the same as any other htc batteries?

I bought a couple batteries and desktop charger for about $5.00 on eBay. They work great.

Just an FYI I purchased the Tilt 2 extended battery (2150mah) linked from batteryboss.org, which tested very well and it does not work properly in my EVO 4g.
I get alternating blinking orange and green LED lights and the battery meter has an exclamation point. Not sure why it doesn't work, tested it in my Hero and it seems to work fine (no exclamation point on battery meter).
I was on eBay yesterday and they had multiple listings from several vendors for captivate batteries and now they are all gone. The ones I saw had two spare batteries and a charger for $15-$20. Anyone know what's up?
idk, as a general rule dont buy batteries from ebay. there was a study done on engadget i believe where they tested out diff batteries from diff manufactures and the batteries provided by the phone retailer performed better on average.
here is a OEM battery for the captivate bit on the high side though
Will an original Galaxy S battery work?

For an additional $10 you get a battery cradle along with a wall charger. Linky
And they have a 10% off deal currently. That's pretty sweet.

Who has 10% off? The link to the Samsung site shows all items out of stock.
I bought batteries from ebay when my old ones used to die (for other phones) and they always worked fine. For the price I don't care if it performs 10% less.
good price on samsung captivate batteries
You can find a samsung captivate battery online at batteries4less.com. They have the original battery for $30.95 and a generic version for $14.95....plus a year warranty.
its not that batteries from ebay are bad. they just vary in performance. and you may have a higher chance of a battery failure.
I got one for sale $20 Shipped in the Lower 48. Do we have a market place to sell stuff?
I think that ebay/amazon batteries are a better choice than OEM. They might vary a little bit, but for the most part, the cost to benefit difference is better on the ebay version. I bought an extended battery off amazon for $13 and I still get 2 days use even with playing games on it. I couldn't even make it 8 hours on my original battery from samsung.
after how many moths did you guys change your battery?
i got my captivate in march this year...and i just wanna have an idea about when to expect a battery change.
Batteries are good to have several of

my phone has been rocking the same battery since at least late December and i have had no noticeable loss in efficiency. Maybe I just have a good stock battery but they last awhile. and im a phoneiholic, im constantly on my phone doing many different things so the battery has had its workout
I bought generic batteries from ebay and none of them have failed. There are some disadvantages.
1. Varying performance
2. Faster charge loss
3. Slower charge times
From personal experience.
Hello.
At this moment i use the Stock/original Samsung Battery (2.100 mAh) and Charger ( Out: 6.0V 1.0A, Input : 0,15A )
I want to buy a better battery and charger my Samsung Galaxy s3 GT-I9300 ( Germany, when it is interesting to know, no branding )
But i don't want to buy a low quality china sh*t ( it should have a Producer warranty and have to life longer than 1 day or 2 weeks )
Also i don't want to turn my S3 into Big Phone...
It was nice when the battery should fit with the Original Case.
I found this one ( youtube.com / watch?v=BBJUj-ZgpTo - Sorry for tricking, but i can't post fully links ;o. ).
I think this battery is a nice one.
It doesnt fit with the original case, but its okay.
Maybe you know better Batterys for the Same case from the 3000mAh Battery from samsung?
And are the 900mAh more from the Samsung battery good?
about how many % life this battery longer than the orignal one !?
And yes...
I looking for a new and better Charger than the Orignal Samsung one.
Maybe one with a xtra large USB cable is nice .
Hope u can help me.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and wonderfull Days .
Sorry for my bad english.
I'm from Germany
I am runing the Anker Battery from amazon and it has been working well for 3+ months
yes.
Maybe i take a battery with a much bigger case...
But first i want a smart one ...
I think the big one like this or the "lemon" make the phone too ugly :/.
And i dont need a battery life about 3 days .
i will be happy if it stay for 24hours by normal use with musik streaming and sometimes little bit gaming .
As far as chargers go, I'd say stock is pretty much as good as it gets. Other chargers you buy don't come with warranties and they don't provide stable output (referring to those colourful ones made in China...)
Okay... ?
Bus are there difference between the Samsung Charger?
My Black one need about the Double of time too recharge as the White one, my father got with his Note2

The black one comes with your s3, has lower output than note3 charger. Note 2 has higher battery so they have a higher charger output so that it charges fast too. I'm not sure whether charging s3 at the higher rate will affect battery lifespan though.
I bought a used Galaxy S III and the battery would barely last a day. I went to my local BatteriesPlus store and picked up a standard 7100mah. I have had no complaints...it will last me about 10-12hrs with moderate/heavy usage. It works with NFC and they also have extended batteries and covers available.

I am running the Anker 4400mah and using Anker charger. Both have 180 day-no hassle warranty, and the customer service is top notch. The charge time is longer on larger batteries, however; if you buy two or cycle between standard batt and extended batt, you will never be without a charged battery. Personally, I run 2 Anker 4400mah and using their charger. At $20 a piece- well worth the price.
Run time varies based on usage, there are a lot of threads on this. For me-I usually get 1-2 days with heavy usage. Games, bluetooth emails, speaker phone, music player, ect.
I have also modded a trident case and otterbox to accommodate the size. You can get both on Amazon.
Hope this helps

Zero Lemon has served me well for the last six months or so. Just the other day I got 5 hours of screen time on Omega Rom 53. The charger is rubbish, though.
Personally, I would prefer to buy a spare stock battery, and keep it in the car,bag or my coat. Rather do that than take the chance with third party batteries.
Whoever voted that you only get an extra hour out of the battery clearly doesn't have one.

Yeah, I get many more hours with a 3300mah. I can get almost 2 days running 4.4.2 with moderate usage and lots of screen brightness. I like the 3300 as it keeps the for factor of the phone so all the cases fit. The 7000 is tempting though!! :highfive:
How about the ones that fit stock case what have people found to work the best
I went with this. Keeps the stock form. Get some good life with it. Def more than a day. Depends on the ROM.

Hi all
Does anyone know where i can find a legit replacement battery for my phone. I look at amazon and they either look too cheap or have terrible reviews. Where can i get official batteries for about 20 pounds or less. I live in the UK.
Thanks
"Craftmann" makes not bad batteries. Check this.
Do you have a link? I heard that only the oem battery was recommended.
I bought it directly from Samsung. There was a review on a german site, which showed that 12 out of 12 batteries from amazon were faked ones.

i just replaced my battery with the oem one although i bought it for like 9€ from a local shop.
although it lasts a bit longer, when it gets to around 30% then its no more stable and it will possible have the the usual behaviour we all know dropping instantly to 20-10% in minutes etc...
anyways....is there something we have to do when we replace a battery? Are there and battery stats or something that we have to reset or tickle so that Android will "learn" the new installed battery is in place?

You probably bought a counterfeit battery.
As stated above most of the OEM Samsung Batteries that are sold are faked.

hmmm you may unfortunatelly be right....:| is there a way to identify? i guess that would be hard.
any others "good ones" like Craftmann that sb mentioned here?
anyone has any 1900mah battery to suggest please?
Not looking for extreme capacities and stuff, but one that you have tested and behaves just like or close to when we all had the original battery that came with the phone.
Someone recommended the Deji battery but there is no way on earth i can find somewhere else than this Turkish shop
I have been on TechOrbits battery bought at Amazon.com for about two weeks now and am satisfied with it. They have warranty, so if the battery bloats (which happened to the previous eBay knock-off in just one year) I could get it replaced.

i would really go down and get this one
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/39677-of...-1900mah-standard-battery-Reviews.htm#reviews
judging by so many positive comments i think its the safest bet so far, so many fakes....i bought one for 8€ and it sucks badly.its getting close to the performance my 3year old official battery had.
Having lost my original battery and having to rely on a cheap ebay battery I thought I'd try mobilefun. THey shipped immediately, battery arrived in what looked like official Samsung packaging. So far so good, battery lasts much longer than my cheap ebay option and probably longer than my original battery but I dont have any stats to back that up. Battery discharge is slow and steady unlike the cheap ebay option which I've found tends to drop off a cliff when it drops below 15%. I can confirm that NFC works as well. Still early days but the signs look promising.
There are genuine Samsung batteries on eBay, the best bet is listings that include a photo of the packaging. A seller that is closer to home is preferred as well (if your home is not China or Hong Kong, anyway).

I have the same behavior as well with my 1900 mA battery although I bought it from an official store for around 27 USD.
This behavior appeared only few months after purchase.
Now the battery charges in 2 hours and 5 minutes and lasts for 6 or 7 hours only (normal usage).

My original battery is dead, she worked for a long time, she deserves peace. The problem is founding a new one!
I bought one from ebay but it's REALLY bad. Do I have to throw out my loved S4 mini cause there are no adequate replacements avalible? Someone knows a good place to buy it in 2020?
On my side I'm using a battery from Gadfull (can be found on amazon in some EU country). I've been using one for almost 3 years and for 2.5 years the capacity was good. I will get a new one this week.

I bought one from hagnaven and it seems good as well. so glad that i still can use this phone!
I'm sure this must have been covered years ago, but...I have a Galaxy 3 . Love it, but the battery is showing its age. I've checked this forum for battery threads, and the ultimate choice seems to be Anker 2200 mah. However, it appears it is no longer available anywhere. I don't necessarily want a larger capacity battery, and certainly don't want to have to replace the back panel of the phone. Are there any other really good replacement batteries out there? I see tons of them, all make in China, with fair to poor reviews. Any suggestions?
RAVPower is making a good replacement battery, it has the same size as the original Samsung battery but has 2250mAh instead of 2100mAh. They are now discounted on Amazon so it might be a decent alternative.
You could always opt for the stock battery. At least it is official. With 1.5 to 2 years of use, I noticed an improvement getting a new stock one.
