HaxSync 2.30 - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Been using HAxSync for a while, well i noticed it wasnt updating pictures. So i removed the account and readded it. Thus losign all my synced fb contacts and their photos. Now it wont resync them. Im guessing facebook changed something and which is why its not able to pull them down. Anyone know anything about it/ or having the same problem?

Re-install Haxsync, go to settings>apps>haxsync>Clear data. Then try again?

Tried that, same thing

:-\
That's weird. It's working for me.
OH WAIT, I had the same problem 2 days ago. Umm umm, go to accounts&sync>Haxsync>Settings and login again! Keep doing that. I know you've tried but keep doing it 2-3 times.

I know this won't help you, but HaxSync is working fine for me as well...

Oddly enough, the same is happening to me as well. After having it working fine for weeks, Haxsync just up and stopped syncing my contacts yesterday too. Tried uninstalling my 2.29, updated to 2.30 and tried to resync to either a FC or not syncing and telling the system that it was finished in 30 seconds. Odd. Maybe it's a server issue?
Running CM9 on the HTC EVO.

There was and update a while back. The developer said to update at once due to Facebook was changing the way they send their info.

Wait I am having the same problem. I just email the developer. I suggested you all do the same.

Facebook seems to have some kind of issue today, I've been getting tons of reports. I suggest you wait a day or two and try again then. I don't have access to my dev machine until monday, so let's hope Facebook fixes their API. Cheers, Mathias

Its back up.

Gmail no longer syncing

I've been running a rooted official 2.2 release since, well, it was released and haven't had any problems until a few days ago. Gmail push no longer works at all. Any ideas? What should I try before reflashing? This is a very important feature for me.
I'm having the same problem, I'm running the release by "ieftm" (I think is the name)
It's becoming a big problem because I'm missing emails unless I sync manually.

Anyone else?
Had the same thing happen. Would only synch with a manual refresh.
Went in to settings toggled push/background on and off again.
BOOM. Works again!
I had this problem the other night.
Once I deleted a few apps and made some more space available, it started working.
I tried toggling background sync and deleted a couple of apps. It's now working again.
Thanks everyone

Email Problem, Quits Working Without Warning

Email has always worked perfect up until the last few days. It will randomly stop syncing and I have to power it off and back on for it to fix the problem. Everything looks normal. It will not send or receive though.
Everything else seems to work except the email. It's already caused me quite a few problems with not getting messages in a timely manner.
Any thoughts.
I have experienced the same problem also... i kept wondering for few days why i am not getting any emails and than one day my battery died so when i rebooted i the phone my inbox got tons of emails from few days back... i wish to know the answer too
What email are you trying to sync? Hotmail?

hotmail and yahoo... both got backed up for few days... any ideas?
I'm experiencing the same for Gmail. Anybody know of a fix?

I'm having the same, or a similar, issue with Exchange mail. Randomly it won't bother to sync it on push until I open up the mail app. All my Gmail works fine, just this.
I may have found the problem. I took off my live wallpaper yesterday and put a standard one back on and my email hasnt quit working since.
I had the 3D Hyperspace Live Wallpaper, which I really like and hate to lose. I'm still monitoring it but I lost email pretty frequently until I went back to the standard wallpaper so there's a good chance thats the problem.
I'll update with results.
Some more info on my problem and my phone:
I have four yahoo email accounts and one gmail account. My yahoo accounts would stop syncing and nothing you could do would refresh them. Nothing would make them sync other than turning the phone off and back on.
My phone is rooted with sfhubs root which has worked flawlessly so far. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.
Well I noticed my Hotmail stopped syncing around the time they made the official Hotmail app. I thought it maybe something on Hotmail side of things not allowing it to work but I guess not. I am not rooted and am all stock but the official Hotmail app works great so I just said forget the other one. Let me know if anyone finds a fix.

My gut feeling is that it stopped syncing because i was " clearing memory" from that inbuilt Samsung task manger... since i stopped using "clear memory" the email seems to sync properly ... maybe i am wrong ... i don't know...
Update:
It's been three days since I took the live wallpaper off. I had no problems for three days...
Until this morning. Email hadnt synced since last night. I had to reboot the phone and the emails came rolling in.
I'm going to put the live wallpaper back on and see how it reacts.

Hotmail calendar and contacts disappear

Hi,
Yesterday the weirdest thing happened on my JB GNex for the first time.
My hotmail contacts and calendar entries have disappeared. Email is fine and using the stock email client with stock OS and unrooted International GSM version phone.
Anyone else experienced this & managed to find a fix?
PS. Temporarily managed to fix by going to settings/apps and clearing the data but next morning all disappear again...

well my girl friend had the same problem on her Galaxy nexus,
and every time i had to remove the Hotmail account and then add it again for the contacts to appear.
but it kept happening to her phone and it never happened to mine.
but after 2 months of this SH*T i decided to add her account to my phone so i'll have her contacts if they disappear and there is something urgent.
so i did add her Hotmail, and after 12hours this SH*T started happening to me too, even when i totally removed her account and mine.
it happens twice everyday.
the only thing i wanna do now is not just restore the phone to default settings, but totally flash a new firmware and clear all cache and try again but i have a lot on my phone to backup.
Wow that's pretty crap - temporarily, I cleared the cache/data under settings/apps which forces the contacts to reappear then did a local export and now I'm importing them at least once or twice a day...its the lamest work around ever if your workaround does work can you let me know pls?

Me Three
I'm (not) glad to see others are having this problem too.
I may be in the wrong thread running a Galaxy S2, but this recently started happening to me. I thought it was a combination of new ROM/Kernel (recently switched to Siyah 3.3.d) but have had this same problem with CyanogenMod 9 on both the Kernel they ship as well as Siyah. With Siyah running with Dual Boot and just a single ROM.
Clearing App data for Calendar, Calendar Storage, Contacts, Contacts Storage sometimes helps, but this is getting really annoying.
Does anyone know what the root cause is? I've considered going back to Stock Carrier ROM just to see if this keeps up. I've gone back to backups from weeks ago (when I don't think this was happening) and it now happens. Don't know what else to try.
Hey,
i totally restored to 4.1.1 locked back the phone just in case, and it still happened.
then i unlocked, restored to 4.0.4, no rooting, and it still happen.
i think my hotmail account got "infected" when i added my girlfriend's account.
anyone please help.
anyone has this problem with google mail ?

I've been having this issue too - from searching for answers it appears to be a bug with hotmail.
Some people have reported having success with changing the server to debug-m.hotmail.com, or xxx-m.hotmail.com (where xxx is the three letter server code assigned to your hotmail account). Neither of these solutions has worked for me.
I'd love to know what else people have tried.
I habe exactly the same Problem. Habe also tried setting up a different Server. Anyone Wirth a fix?

OMG.
Thank you guys SOOO much for putting this up. I thought it was just me!!!! I was about to post a thread of my own on this!
Yes, I've been having this issue all of last week. I thought it was my phone and or ROM configs. I can confirm that it's happening on all ICS ROMs. I tried 10 different ROMs, all 100% clean installs. As a matter of fact, I just finished loading Paranoid Android ROM, which is a JB ROM, in hopes that it resolves it.
My Hotmail account is set up as an Exchange account. Randomly, out of nowhere, all contacts, calendars, and emails are cleared, and it has to redownload itself. This is potentially disastrous as I depend very heavily on my Hotmail calendar.
Does anyone have any idea what's happening and what we can do to solve it?

After much research, it seems that this is a huge problem with Hotmail that started occurring mid May. I still haven't seen a concrete response from Microsoft regarding this issue.
Last night I deleted the email account under the stock email app and downloaded the free hotmail app from the app store...so far the contacts are intact ...if they disappear again I will update my post.

OK they disappeared again, apparently the Google settings have nothing to do with this, its definitely Hotmail.
So i temporarily imported my contacts and switched to gmail it was easy because i already use Google calendar i only use Hotmail for email and contacts.
I already tried switching the m.hotmail.com server but i read that some hotmail users where switched to new servers, so maybe this is the problem.

I have seen this happening on my wive's, brother's and my Galaxy Nexus.
All of us have updated to JB.
I have solved this issue with exporting my Live-contacts and importing them to my Google Account.
I will use my Galaxy S3 from now on and my wife wife asked for a new phone, she's more impatient but will get the S3 now anyway.
I think Google does not like Microsoft anymore due to latest lawsuit results.
Anywho I blame Jellbean. :crying:

I can confirm that this is a problem on all ICS/JB ROMs and is therefor not related to a ROM.
now suddenly even my calender items disappeared as well - this is getting really annoying now - will export/import them to google again until MS has sorted this out. anyone reported this already in a MS forum or blog? if not maybe we should do that.
I'm having the same issue here. I was having the issue with the stock ICS ROM on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I rooted and flashed the BB Jelly Bean ROM but the problem is still happening. When I delete the account and add it back it syncs. But then the next day the contacts disappear. When I create the account I put in m.hotmail.com. But the next day when I look it says col-m.hotmail.com. I don't think this is the issue, but I also saw comments to try changing to this. It seems to be happening automatically.
Anyway, I noticed that when I go into Hotmail and edit a contact and save it, it syncs. I don't know how long that contact will stay on my phone. So it seems to me that it could be related to identifiying which contacts to synch. I tried changing the synch frequency but that didn't work either.
Does anyone know which Microsoft Hotmail forum we should post this?
- I installed the Hotmail Microsoft + 7 app. I now have my contacts again. I'm not sure if this will work long term. I tried using the app and it crashed, so I plan on continue to use the built in Android mail app. But hopefully the Microsoft app will allow me to synch my contacts. If this doesn't work, I think I'll import them into Google to have as a backup copy.

I've had the app since last night and for me all contacts and calendar entries have stayed put and not disappeared once. I will stick with the app for a while but would like to go back to stock app if/when fixed.

I posted my issue on answers.Microsoft forum. The only response I got was to install the Microsoft App. I also would like the stock android app to get fixed, but I'm not sure if the issue is with Android or Microsoft.
I'm not able to provide a link:

Same problem on stock 4.1.1 Galaxy Nexus
I've got the same problem too on the official stock 4.1.1 Jellybean update. My contacts and calendar go completely missing and removing/adding the account only makes it work for a day or so and then it disappears again. Email still syncs fine.
As someone reported in this thread Hotmail is still working fine with their iPhone, and it is working fine with my Windows Phone... I'm pretty sure this is Google's fault. It makes my phone near useless, that's for sure.
This better get fixed soon! If someone finds or hears about a fix, post it here and let everyone know!

Contacts sync error

Ever since flashing the ROM on 12/12 I have not had my contacts sync. I'm getting the "sync is currently experiencing problems" notice. I've tried numerous fixes after Googling the message, nothing works. Has anybody else had this issue and successfully fixed it?
Not here, everything synced. AOKP, Dec 4
I have the same issue with the Google sync. I don't have a fix for you, unfortunately.
Although the sync page for all my gmails constantly says its not working right now, my emails seem to be working just fine. And I have 4 gmails, besides one Hotmail and one yahoo email account. But, if someone does know what's up, it would be nice to know why it is stuck with red spiral and not green.

I have the problem with the Galaxy S3. It's running stock OS. No third party contacts apps. It used to work. And then it stopped. Now any change I make on the phone does not get synced to the cloud. Very very frustrating. See http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=42641 If enough people star it, Google will look into it.

Gmail Syncing

Is there anyone else having problems with Gmail not syncing? I have searched and saw issues with the Nexus 6p but it keeps happening on my 5x. Is there a known workaround for this?
-Thankx
I'm not having issues on my 5X, but I use Inbox instead of gmail. However, read the following article. There are issues being reported.
http://m.gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/nexus-users-on-android-marshmallow-report-google-sync-issues
Gmail struggles to sync on my phone as well. I don't know of a way to fix it yet.

Same here. I don't get notified of new emails until I open the app. Haven't found a fix yet
Glad to see it's not just me. I've cleared data/uninstalled about 10 times and couldn't get it to work. Seems to sync fine on my Samsung Note 8.0
Maybe the Gmail update today fixed it. I actually just received 3 emails in a row without opening the app and manually syncing.
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
disabling battery optimization for gmail can help with the problem, but even that doesn't get rid of it. however i as well noticed gmail notifications being more reliable with th update currently being rolled out.
I just sent a test email and i got it immediately. Maybe it's working...
Its been better for me today. Its still spotty though.
Mine is spotty also. I often miss gmail for hours so today I updated the gmail app. Now my gear 2 no longer gets gmail notifications! It gets the others but gmail is most important. Really pisses me off. I checked settings and gmail is still checked under gear notifications and gear still allowed under security and gmail notifications and sync still checked and working.
I just installed inbox and that is working perfectly. I have updated my Gmail and it still isn't working for me.
I am using an unread counter that only supports gmail (novalauncher/teslaunread), i read the email in Inbox but Gmail still thinks there is an unread mail HOURS later. Annoying.
Also spotty. The one that I tested worked fine, but a different account didn't update until many hours later.
Wow, glad it's not just me. Been driving me crazy today trying all sorts of things to fix this. Will keep an eye on this here for updates.
I have an LG G3.
No improvement here on my LG G3 running Marshmallow. Is this fixed for the rest of you?
My moto and sammy both still have the problem.
This has been a recognized issue for a couple months now. Google announced on 10-Feb that they were rolling out a fix server-side (i.e. not a system update or app update) that should be reached globally within a week. Since then, however, there has not been one single report of consistent Gmail/Inbox notifications. It's gotten quite ridiculous.
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Did some more testing and found what's causing me the issue, but it's very strange.
I cleared data and cache in gmail and started fresh. Everything works fine. As soon as I change days to sync globally to more than the default 60 or if I got into manage labels and change the inbox specific sync to ALL (which is what I want, I only have about 70 messages in there), gmail stops syncing completely. If i go into accounts->gmail, the last sync time never updates again after I change the days to sync in gmail.
Anyone else want to test this?
My sync is only 30 days but I still have the problem

If I change to to something else and then back to 30, it doesn't fix it. Have you cleared gmail data and cache and confirmed it doesn't sync without touching any gmail settings?
