Can anyone assist me please? I'm wanting to know if it's possible to have my Desire answer automatically, after a set number of rings, while it's connected to my Bluetooth Headset. If this is not possible with Android, is there software that can do this?
Bump, I like to know that too. Any solution?

I am using PhoneWeaver for automatic profiles an there is a possibility - lte's say you have a BT profile (when BT is connected), then you can set AUTO ANSWER CALLS to ON. So you will have this enabled only while having BT profile active.
U need to download the app called AUTOANSWER. I DID IT AND IT WORKS GREAT FROM MY DROID HTC INCREDIBLE TO MY BLUE TOOTH.
Hey,
there is an app which can autoanswer / pickup calls...found it here:

Hi, I have a desire running 2.1 (awaiting vodafone uk to give us 2.2) and was wondering if there was any way I can get the phone to automatically switch on bluetooth when it is on charge...???
(ie: if I plug it into the car charger the bluetooth comes on... and switches off when not on charge)
i have tried to browse for answer but didn't find anything (or din't phrase teh question good enough)
Cheers
anyone... is there an app that will do this?
There's an app on market can't remember name tho

Tasker will do this, very flexible app for automation
tis in the market..
thanks... tasker is really cool!
Quick question whether there is an app, mod, or even build.prop edit that would allow my Note II to automatically try to connect to my car's single din Kenwood KDC‑BT952HD. Only thing the head unit tries to do when connected is re-download contacts, but it turns on as soon as my car turns on and it'd be a lot faster if my Note automatically attempted to connect to the head unit instead of the bluetooth popup with listed devices, which I don't even have considering I'm running Whompasaurus V2.9. so if there's any way I could even get the pop up that'd be great too!
I use Tasker to turn on Bluetooth and connect to my earpiece. But I need a trigger and I need to turn on my earpiece. The trigger I use is activating my map app.
So without a trigger, I don't know how to do that.
I'm new to tasker and I'm not sure how to enable the auto-connect through tasker.
I am new to Tasker too.
Task / Net / Bluetooth
will turn on/off/ toggle Bluetooth
Task / plugin / Secure Settings (separate app) / BT Connect
Will connect to your chosen Bluetooth device.
My best advice is to play around. Also, here is the first of a 3 video series on Tasker.

maybe I'm missing something here, so may suggestion by be complete off.
Maybe leaving BT tunred on your GN2 before you get in your car. Or turned it on before you get in the car. I'm assuming the ROM you're using has a BT toggle. The thinking is that your headunit will try to automatically connect to any paired BT devices. If so, the GN2 should automatically connect when the deck does it's search.
This works for me when I try connecting to Jawborn Big Jambox or Jawbone Era or other BT devices I have paired on my GN2. It may be worth nothing I'm on a deoxidized stock rom. But I this also worked when I ran AOSP roms on my Evo 4G such as CM.
If the headunit does not do a pair device search and connect when it turns on, then I would definitely try suggest above. I have no clue, and that's better than nothing.
no autoconnect on GN2
Once you had a BT connection with your car and leave it at the gas station e.g. it won't reconnect when you're back!
Sad, but since then I tried the mighty Tasker and similar apps, but was happy with the app called "Bluetooth Auto Connect".
You can define the simple trigger, when display on....
So whenever I get back into the car, I hit either the menu or start button, that's it. Without unlocking you are back connected.
The only other annoying thing that you might be able to fix with Tasker is, that right after the A2DP establishes the connection the player starts playing the last song, which I obviously don't want most of the time.
Also Play Pause Next etc over BT doesn't work too well on android.
I have a Alpine head unit and as long as my bt is on before I start the car everything syncs automatically.

I have a Kenwood Dnx6980, and my experience has been that once my phone has been setup to sync ... The Kenwood will talk to it automagically.
This is using AOSP or non stock roms. Ofc.

Bluetooth autoconnect's main feature works for my xperia pro (turn on bluetooth, connect to your selected devices in automatic)
Bluetooth autoconnect's tasker plugin is not working for me. I can use it, sort off, but it does nothing. Like, "Press the button, but there was no reply!"
Well that is odd. I have a Pioneer unit and my phone connects to it as soon as it detects it in range. Even if I turn off BT and then power it on, the phone automatically connects to the head unit without any intervention on my part. Sounds like an issue with your stereo.
No stereo issue. On some of the touch wiz based roms bluetooth DOES NOT auto connect. On most (if not all) aosp roms bluetooth DOES auto connect. Currently on ma7 stock with root and it auto connects. When I was on whomp, jellybombed, and labrats

Bluetooth Connection
Hi Guys,
Im glad i found this thread, im wondering if anyone could help me out.
My scenario is, my bluetooth is connected to my car radio playing files. When a call comes in, i need it to disconnect from the car radio and connect to my bluetooth headset, all without turning off bluetooth ( preferable )
My possible solutions are:
1 ) By using automagic, ive managed to get alot done with this app, but this seems beyond it.
2 ) Getting automagic to start an application when a call comes in which will force bluetooth connection to a specific bluetooth device and disconnected from other devices.
Anyone got any suggestions?

not sure of your rom, but both TW and CM allow you to set whether each connection is Media or Phone. put your headset to phone and your car to media only. when you answer the phone the headset should take over.

I had zero problems with pairing to My Ford Touch in my Focus. There are some messages to pay attention to (mostly permissions) and an option to add the 10 as a trusted device.
In the past I also discovered that not allowing automatic phonebook downloads (this is in the MFT menu) helped with the Blue Tooth audio not stuttering.

Both the device and Sync can see each other but it doesn't matter whether I initiate it from the device or car it won't pair. Sync doesn't come up with the pin prompt it just sits there.
Perhaps I'll try a sync master reset if you got it working ok. I thought it might have been a compatibility issue with a new bluetooth radio stack on the htc 10.
If that fails I'll have to bug my dealer about updating my cars software.

Have a '16 Ford and Sync paired right up with my 10.

I tried a Sync master reset twice and rebooted my 10. It's not having any of it.
I tried it in my mum's 2012 Focus and it paired with Sync first time no issues.
Guess I'll be taking my car back to Ford and hope they can fix it with a software update.
Sent from my HTC 10 using XDA Labs
Make sure you remove (unpair) sync from your phone & restart it before trying to repair it to sync after the master reset. I also had no problems pairing my 10 to MyFord Touch.
Some cars won't pair unless you're in park also, so make sure you finish pairing it before driving.

Bummer. Yeah, see about a Sync software update. Before you make an appt, you can go to the Ford site and follow the instructions on determining if you need an update (sync my ride, I think it is).
My Ford Touch is running 3.6.2; however, 3.8 is now available. Good luck. Definitely sounds the the issue is your vehicle's software.

I've already applied the October update which seems to be the latest an end user can load manually.
I'm going to try pulling the fuse to force a hard reboot to see if that fixes it. Otherwise it'll be going back to the dealer to see if they can fix it.
I can't understand why my mum's Focus worked on 4 year old software but mine didn't on 6 month old software though. Just computers being fickle I guess.
Sent from my HTC 10 using XDA Labs
Fuse didn't make any difference either.
So took it in to Ford this morning, tech comes out and guess what. Pairs first time, haha.
Only thing he did different was have the ignition on (rather than just turning sync on manually in accessory mode).
Stupid computers! Lol.
Fix
I have a possible fix.
My issue was I couldn't pair my HTC 10 with my ford territory 2012 Bluetooth. My phone detected it but it would read "pairing failed" on my car dash screen.
You need to download two apps:
- BlueScan
- BT direct
Use bluescan to identify the car Bluetooth address (a string of letters and numbers)
Then, using BT direct, enter the address manually and hit pair
This worked for me.
Hope it helps
Has anyone got a HTC M9 apps to work on a VW (Transporter T6) with Mirrorlink?
When connected the above apps come up but all are marked as not certified for use when vehicle is in motion.
They work fine when parked but turn off as soon as the vehicle moves which isn't exactly a lot of use.
S/W levels are:
Nougat: 4.28.401.2
Car: 8.50.834575
HTCMirrorLink: 4.00.935346
Also tried a HTC One M7 and get same problem.
Help appreciated
Gordon
Well, that's a security feature and it's working as intended. Just like driving and texting at the same time using apps via mirror link that aren't programmed as car apps or don't have a car mode increases the chances of you (or others that would be using such a mod) causing an accident. Therefore, you probably won't find a "fix" here on xda since no one wants to be held responsible for any accidents that would get caused from such a mod.
Well I can understand that position however when HTC launched mirrorlink support a few years ago, coincidently on a VW, it clearly shows the apps working.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J5KNaaVRoQ
Now apps such as Dialer and Music etc are marked as not certified for use in motion where at the announcement they did not have that flag.
I did post a question to HTC and got no reply hence my asking the real experts!
As asked before has anyone got this HTC feature to work as announced?
I have checked if VW has patched their mirrorlink support recently and got told no.
Yes, I know I could use Android Auto which does support alternative apps but I would prefer to use the HTC apps via Mirrorlink.
The car in the video is standing still and not moving. And the video explains that some apps' features aren't usable while the car is in motion due to security reasons.
It might be a dumb question but you didn't mention it before: do you have the HTC car app installed? As far as I know neither the dialer nor the music app have a car mode integrated by default. The feature might get added by the car app.
Sent from my HTC One M9 using XDA Labs
Yes. HTC Car App installed. App version Car: 8.50.834575
The difference between the launch video and todays actuality is that app such as Phone are now marked as unusable in motion which is not how they were shown at the HTC launch of the product.
[IMG=https://www.dropbox.com/s/mux3qowumlppx68/htccarnowork.jpg?dl=0[/IMG]
That's my issue.
The HTC announcement shows it in a working state but now no longer works hence my asking if anyone actually has got it to work and if so, how?
Thanks for help
Gordon
But the car isn't in motion in the video. The engine is off and it's standing on a presentation platform. That's why they're working. The guy in the video says that not all app's features are usable while the car is moving.
And a quick Google Search confirms that HTC music and HTC dialer are only usable via mirrorlink while the car is not moving. It's all working as intended in your case.
Sent from my HTC One M9 using XDA Labs
OK but in the launch video the apps do not have the flag in RH top corner as in the photo above.
So will abandon HTC mirrorlink and if necessary use Android Auto instead .. or leave it running the old way just on the phone and ignore mirrorlink all together
Was your car's engine off while you took the photo (like the engine of the car in the video)?
I personally don't use mirrorlink, either. I've only connected my M9 via bluetooth with the cars that I've been driving since I own this phone. Making phone calls and listening to music (via spotify and poweramp) is working fine. Sidenote: The cars' steering wheels all have/had control buttons that I use/used for controling the phone.
You've got to find someone with VCP diagnostic system and the VIMN plugin (https://shop.vag-tech.com/index.php?p97,vimn-video-in-motion-manager). With this tool you can raise the speed threshold where the video of the app gets disabled. I'm not certainly sure, if this solves the whole problem, but it works if the app works with the car at a standstill.
Where are you located? Maybe I know someone with the system.
Sorry ICeYmx for late reply as I've been drving to Italy and back and did not have my logon credentials with me.
I live near Southampton UK.
It maybe worth testing but I'm reluctant to spend €105 on a vehicle that isn't listed .
