White GN users, can you share the usability? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi,
I'm wondering how the usability of the white GN is. I've never used a white phone so could you please share whether it gets easily discolored, yellow spots, very scratch prone, etc.?
Thank you.

Usability: same as the gray/titanium one i'd assume?
Color: it's white plastic, I've used it for about 3 months, no scratches, discoloration etc. Listen to me on this one, I'm a girl, I drop everything & use makeup, the white has stayed white.
When used without a case, the phone is quite slippery, however, I'm assuming that's across the board color wise.
I previously used a white tmo sgs2. That also stayed white. The nexus isn't a glossy finish like the back of the s2, so the nexus is much less prone to scratches. This being said, I do have a screen protector on my nexus & usually use a case, however mine has been naked for the past couple of days.
This phone is sexy as hell.

The white has stayed white since I ordered the housing. The grey casing is slightly less slippery because of the battery door.

The white is great. The only heart attack I had was when my blue ink pen started bleeding and I used the phone without realizing. The ink on my hands was still wet so the white had a few nice blue marks all over. Luckily I noticed before it dried and was able to wash it off. Other then that, still pretty white only problem is no white extended battery door.

Looks super sexy, especially since the Titanium Galaxy Nexus has become so commonplace now. The only disadvantage is that it really stands out in a crowd, which I guess is a good thing

Thank you all for the replies. Since I havent used a white phone I was a little worried. Yes the white GN is sexy!
And the apparent racism in the title was totally unintentional..

Pop! Case... Get it now

this is honestly the BEST case I've ever used. it feels great in the hand and the kickstand is a must have if you Netflix at work. it's sold out on amazon but I was able to find mine on ebay
http://www.amazon.com/Case-mate-Cas..._16?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1324101079&sr=1-16
I had this case on my NS4G, it'll end up warping on the rubber edges, after about 1 month it was already messed up.. but this one can be different.
How thick is it? I have a Seidio Active... About as thick as I'd want to go.
Sent from my Samsung Epic 4G Touch.
How hard is it?
Is is a soft rubber?
Thanks.
Nice
Good looking case. Has anyone spotted any dark blue ones -- NO TPU cases please.. Thx
Hard plastic on the back, and the rubber is really tough but will give in about a month if you continuously take it off.. the real fit is snug you'll like it
I bought this case from Amazon first part of November and really like it
The kickstand feels a little flimsy which is okay because it's not used all the time, the phone snaps in and stays without problem... the reason I really like this case is because of the placement of the rubber, which is soft and gives the phone grip which is easy to hold in my hand.
Another reason I like this case is because I can put the phone on my dashboard or center console of my 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab and the phone never moves while driving
I bought the White/Cool Gray one

Question for white E4GT owners

How easy does the silver paint chip/wear off? I was thinking about going white over black, but didn't know if the white will start looking worn faster.
I just got my white e4gt 2 weeks ago so I can't really comment on how the paint will hold up but it seems like it will be just fine. I do know I like the look a whole lot better then my black one and the smooth back feels nicer too so I would definitely recommend it
Had mine for about 5 months now and doesn't show any wear yet. Still happy with it, have the Best Buy Black Tie program and haven't used it once!
The paint does not chip off...I have a case though... using for over 5 months
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I just picked up a used one. It has chips in the silver paint. Not a big deal for the price I paid. I guess if you scratch or bump it hard enough it could be an issue.
had white housing on for about 2 months now, no paint missing or chipped or anything.
I've thrown my phone of course with the ballistic case on it and not one chip
From the 2nd galaxy
I usually use the Seidio spring holster. The bottom corners of the phone sit in the holster points and I am thinking these may cause some wear.
Ive had mine for months love the look of it so i got the clear case for it and the mirror screen protector and it looks really good like that no chipping or issues yet.
Mine still looks great!
Can black, asian, latino, etc Epic Touch owners answer too? Sheesh, this seems over the top.
Picked mine up right after launch of the white version. No scratches at all.

Question for white ET4G owners...

How long have you had your phone and how is the white casing holding up? With or without a case?
I'm asking because this time around I think I'm going to go for the white GS3 but I'm concerned that the pretty white color will fade to a nasty gray or get to dirty or something.
I don't normally use a case for my phones...thanks to the retarded annoying cases for the OG Epic, but I'm very careful especially since I got this S2. (I'm one of those people who trend to forget that my phone is sitting on my lap when I get out of the car).
But anyway, how's the white plastic looking over time?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
I have had mine since November and it still looks amazing. Not a scratch on any of the white and no fading whatsoever. I only have a couple scratches on the silver edging which reveals white underneath, not sure if the SGS3 has this. I am very picky about my phone looking great and I wouldn't hesitate to buy this one again.

I just came back to the E4GT after having a Galaxy Nexus for a while... the E4GT I just picked up is white... but I immediately bought an Otterbox because I am not a clever man.
I thought I wanted the white E4GT but when I was holding it in the sprint store, I felt like I was wearing black dress shoes with white knee-high socks in shorts.
..so I went with the manly black flavor. I has no disappoint. I would have just covered it up with my case anyways! The chick at the sprint store had a white one and she told me that it picked up lint and crap from her purse/pockets. The textured back on the black one felt better in my hands too. The white one has a completely smooth and slippery back cover which I have no love for.
..but whatever blows your dress up!
Lol, but the correct term is "Pebble Blue" not "Black". :-D

Does the white version get dirty...

Especially around the home button? Does gunk get in there and is it visible? I'm not talking about from handling the phone with muddy hands - just from regular usage over time. I feel like most of you who have one have had it long enough to comment. Thank you.

i dont know about you guys but I currently have the nano optic screen protector by sgp and even though they make one of the best protectors, you can tell the color difference between the naked area and the covered area. The covered area has a bit of a little greyish tint to it while the naked area is clear white. I'm not sure why everyone is saying "you can't even tell a screen protector is on" when reviewing the sgp screen protector for the galaxy. You can definitely tell that its on.
I would use the device without a screen shield but wouldn't want it to be scratched up when I resell it later on.

I have the Zagg Invisible Shield on mine. I got the matte finish one and regret it. It definitely dulls down the screen. I think it dulls down the white of the body of the phone also. You can definitely tell I have a screen protector. I may go and buy the clear one soon.
I have the white version and use a matte screen protector and it is as white as day one. The white case though... that is a different story. It looks like crap.

Titanium Grey vs Marble White??

Yeah, I got the white from Newegg after the $30 coupon ($649). Also, go to fatwallet.com, click on cash back, find newegg, and click-through from there to purchase. In about 45 days, you will have an extra (up to) 4% back. Best deal going.
Use the savings to buy a genuine flip cover - this way you get the color you want (minus the front, which is not a big deal at all).

Titanium Gray is more appearing and this is why I am not upgrading to 32 GB version and sticking with my gray 16GB. In my market 32GB note 2 is available but only in white. When I bought my phone there was no 32 GB available. Now it is available but only in white. Had it be gray and I would have upgrade it in blink of an eye but white one looks cheap from bazel and the back. Titanium gray looks cool and different from other regular colors.

Does the white have light leakage on the from bezel buttons like the SII did? That is what steered me to preorder it in grey. Looks more professional IMO.

I got the grey model because, while the white model is gorgeous and eye catching, I think it's novelty of having a white device would fade shortly after or I would get tired of putting it on the table or taking it out in front of people. I don't want to look "metro cool" at work, haha. I just want something classy, which the white is, but it's just not for me. I'm used to having BLACK phones and I'm tired of black phones. So when I saw Samsung has the SGN2 in TITANIUM GREY! I thought "whoopie!" hehe. But to be honest, the white is really nice, but I think in the long run the grey version will serve me better . This is of course 100% an opinion.
any color will do
Thanks, Color doesn't bother me as much, I just need more than 16gb. So there is hope that the 32gb might be in the states sometime. Since there in your area already.
Get a microSD card?
My SIII died and had to be repaired...I lost everything I had stored on internal memory (though I had a backup made days earlier, phew!)
Just a thought
I guess I will. I was hoping for 32g internal and a 64g sd card. But I don't think I can last until it comes over here. But I've waited this long, perhaps one more month will not kill me.
Thanks for your input guys and yes when og note came out I knew right away that I wanted the white one. Now with the note 2 I wasn't sure about whether I wanted the white because I was always attracted to white phones or because it looked better than the grey one. Looking closely at many pics and videos of people actually holding the device upclose I've decided that I will go with the grey one. Two reasons, when I had the white note the slightest scratch on the back was able to be seen and because there's something about those tiny little stripes on the grey one that intrigues me lolll

White phones are designed for people who just care about the looks.
Anyone who is a tiny bit technically competent who never ever put a white bezel around a screen. It is stupid because you lose precious contrast on the gorgeous screen.
Apple should really patent the white bezel so that everyone stop copying it.
