Unlock sim / Root /unlock boot locker - HTC Wildfire S

Hello,
im interested in free sim unlock please give me some pointers.
I need info on what i have to do to install custom rom.
As far as i can see i need to unlock bootlocker and root naturaly.
please give me links...
THX

To root you will need to unlock your bootloader and root as you stated
But if you want to Sm-Unlock your phone then you will need an XTC-Clip
An XTC-Clip is a hardware which completely removes all the restrictions HTC puts to prevent root....and there's no free Sim-unlock unless you have a CDMA Wildfire S

Help with Unlocking

So i got my htc desire yesterday unfortunately its locked to orange network, i need a guide to unlock my phone, will rootin my desire unlock it? or is there any other guide?
Thanks waitin for replies
go here and check the sticky
android.modaco.com/category/430/htc-desire-desire-modaco-com/
you then need to flash a rom i believe
cant find any info on that...please give me a link to the guide in which unlocking your sim lock has been explained
Rooting =/= Unlocking
They are two very different things. There is no free method to unlock any recent phones. The only way to unlock is to buy a code off the internet or to ring Orange and ask for the unlocking code. There is simply no other way to unlock the phone.

Unlocking bootloader after rooting

I have just rooted my phone. I wonder if I can unlock bootloader after rooting?
If I can, which way is the easiest way?
And also I want to know the benefits of unlocking Bootloader.
I want to add that I don't know so much about doing so complicated things, please know that while informing me.
I really appriciate your answers...
stock rom Gingerbread 2.3.3, rooted.
Rooting and bootloader unlocking are separate. Your bootloader has to be unlocked using a special code unique to your phone. The code is supplied by Sony Ericsson. It won't work if your phone is a carrier locked one. Unlocking the sim card won't enable it either. You need something called fastboot and only unbranded, unlocked phones have it.

[Q] Wildfire S SIM unlocking (Bootloader unlocked/ rooted)

Hey guys, so I've managed to unlock the bootloader AND root my Wildfire S. I don't know what other steps I need to take to ensure that I can use another SIM card in it.
It still says that the Sim card is locked after unlocking the bootloader and rooting (I know that rooting is in no way connected to unlocking the SIM).
I tried purchasing an unlock code form eBay but the code didn't work.
What are my options now?
Will creating a Gold card and following these instructions do the trick? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22208351&postcount=8
Also, if I flash the stock ROM, will I lose Croatian keyboard that is in the phone currently?
Thanks in advance!
sim lock can only be removed by xtc clip or htc itself.
no goldcard or unlocked bootloader will help you.
If you flash the stock rom that corresponds to your device you will not lose the keyboard.
So flashing a stock rom wont help with the sim unlock?
No. The Sim-Lock information is stored in the phones radio firmware which can not be changed yet without an xtc clip. So Sim-Lock is independent from the operating system.
Ok, thanks for the info.
I still don't understand why are all these sites and ebay sellers selling unlock codes if the unlocking is only possible trough XTC clip.
The guy that sold me that faulty code said that they work in 99% cases, and refunded me without a question.
I don't really see how that could be a viable business if it doesn't work :-/

[Q] Carrier Unlock Question

Hello. recently I read on a section of the HTC One X forum that if you want to unlock the carrier of a HOX and you have a custom ROM flashed and bootloader unlocked you need to lock back the bootloader and flash a stock ROM. Is it true, or can unlock it with the custom rom flashed?
You can`t disable the carrier lock without s-off.
Thanks for the answer. So there is no way someone could unlock the carrier if i have S-on?
No, sorry....
There is no way without S-OFF.
You can unlock your carrier to allow different network Sims, just google "HTC one x carrier unlock".
It's not possible to change your cid without s-off

Here comes the problem.. I know that cellunlocker.net is trusted when comes to unlock codes and i got my code yesterday. I was on Custom ROm with bootloader unlocked. When i enter the code it says it's incorect so that's why i need to know if i need to relock the bootloader and go on stock rom?
I had the same situation.HTC locked device with the code you can find on websites but then your carrier changed unlock codes, and the one you bought from site is incorrect.
I asked my carrier to tell\sell me the code but they dont want to untill the warranty is over. You can ask your carrier also,it doesnt cost you anything
My local phone repair service tell me that only solution for me is to take apart phone and read codes directly from motherboard but then i will lose warranty, which is ok for me,i already unlocked bootloader and root my hox
Just relocked and flashed stock rom. I will contact the carrier and try to get the code. Thanks for the help.

Must Root before Unlock?

Hi
Can anyone tell me basic about root and unlocking LG Optimus G E973?
How to unlock without unlocked code?
Is the word "unlock" and "unlock bootloader" the same?
In order to unlock the phone for free, do we have to root the phone?

If Bootloader is unlocked, Network is unlocked too?

Nope, network unlock can only be achieved by unlock code for this device, and that is completely different from bootloader unlock.
-Root grants you permission control over root directory and allow for apps to have deeper integration with the android system for tweaks and such. Although this may pose a security threat for your device.
-bootloader unlock allows you to flash unsigned ROMs and kernels to your device and also poses a security threat to your device.
-network unlock allows you to use the GSM and/or CDMA network of your device with another carrier different from its original carrier unless your device is factory unlocked.
If all you want is to use your phone with another provider I suggest you stop looking for ways to unlock without code because its not possible and search for a trusted code unlocking service.
