[Q] How to Charge Rooted Kindle Fire - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So my battery totally died(2%) but when it should charge, it goes to the blue kindle screen, boot up, then powers down, and stop charging. I need help to get it to charge. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothings wrong, its just that when it usually goes to: "Cant power up, wait few minutes" or something, it boots up again. Also i want to stop this by unrooting but i cant.
EDIT: About 5 minutes after that i went to reboot>system and then it went to the charging mode(for whatever the blue "Kindle Fire" screen is called). And @Thepooch it was not charging i tried everything(wall, xbox, and computer) and after an hour TWRP said the battery was at 1%. Eventually it charged after rebooting the system. And when i posted this it was via usb.

apparently it charges correctly when in that state via usb

hope kinfauns wont dislike my quoting him.
You actually need to leave the device connected to a low amp power source like a computer's USB port for FFF to enter this charging state. It will bypass the low battery charge if you connect it to a wall charger.Turn off the KF, connect it to your computer. It will try to turn on and go into charging mode. It won't turn on the backlight, but you will see that the power button has a dim amber light. Just leave it alone for a while (half an hour to an hour) and when it has enough power, it will get out of charging mode and continue booting. When it's able to boot and stay booted into the system, you can connect your wall charger and continue charging the battery.

[Q] Different Battery Problem ?

Hello
Firstly i am sorry for my english. Lets look my problem.
When i charge my phone to %100 first of all when its show %87-88 1 minute later its show %100 and green led is show. but when i use it, when phone charge is come to the %12-13 its shutting down. not continue to %1 however when i charge my phone to %50 it use all of battery and shutting down on %1 but when i charged to %100 it shut down on %12 or %11. whats the problem ? i try kernels roms etc. finnaly i unroot my phone and install orgnial rom but its give me same error please help me.
Calibrate your battery.
TouchPaled from Oxygen with Transparent XDA App
Sorry but thats not working
i don't see anything strange with ur phone that shutdown at 12%
my phone shutdown at 15%..even calibrating etc, after some days it will shutdown again at 15..the battery doesn't have an unlimited life..
probably a new battery solve it, but i'm ok with that..
when its shutdown at 1% its only due to some statistics error, and probably its not much safe as it could switch off immediately (without shutdown) and losing data
anyway the best way to charge the phone its to charge it while off
So Solve is new battery ?

[Q] Swagged Out Stock v1.9.0.2 - Reboot Loop

I am running Swagged Out Stock v1.9.0.2 on my EVO and have been enjoying the freedom. Thank you Swagstr!
My phone was charging when it rebooted by itself and then went into reboot loop.
Should I pull the battery to stop the loop? I don't want to brick the phone.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Jason
Were you doing anything on the phone during that time?
You will not brick your phone by pulling the batter when you reboot into a boot loop.
Are you running the version of SOS that has the Freedom Kernel? If so have you changed the CPU settings? I have not run this ROM but I have run the Freedom Kernel and I have had boot loops (with Synergy and MikG) using Freedom if I underclock with the minimum clock set to 128Mhz. Some do not have problems running at 128Mhz but my Evo does not like it.
If you are running Freedom you might try the default clocks or try a less aggressive version of Freedom.
I had this problem. I just pulled the battery and it was fine. Until the one time my battery ran out and I lost ALL data...
---------- Post added at 12:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:39 PM ----------
This happened to me. Sucked because it was while it was charging overnight and I didn't get my alarm and I was late for work.
That is, it was fine until a few days later, my phone died overnight and when i got it on the charger and turned it on, ALL my data (contacts, home screen, texts, etc) were gone...
I have been getting a bootloop on a TON of roms just today. IDK what I'm doing wrong. I have never had a problem loading roms on Thunderbolts, Incredibiles, Photons and more yet this Evo I just got 80% of my installs result in bootloops.
EDIT: Including this rom.

[Q] Battery percentage bug?

I have this problem since i'm using custom roms, but it happened just a few times, so i wanted to know why. My phone says e.g there's 27% left but then it it says battery empty and turns off, used insertcoin nightly, stable and now Runnymede AIO
. Is there any way to get the real percentage shown? I already wiped battery stats..
Maybe you should calibrate your battery, wiping batery stats only is not always enough.

or here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755903
If it says 27% then goes off that definitely needs calibrating. Often its about 15% which is actually when the desire turns itself off to protect the battery

I could hardly imagine such solution would be implemented in such untidy manner. All gb sense roms have that, yet aosp turns off at 1% as it should.
SwiftKeyed from my HTC Desire using XDA App.
Before setting up new Roma need to do full вайп including and batteries.
Try. if not yet the Council will help Ladies! is done through recovery.
(apologize for bad English)

Calibration of the battery precise, the instruction:
1. We unload the accumulator up to 0 % (while itself it will not be switched off), having started video, or other ways.
2. We take out the accumulator from a handheld computer, we wait about one minute, we insert back (we do not include the device!!).
4. We put on зарядку. I shall repeat, the device is not included! (network з.у. 220В).
5. We leave to be charged up to a full level (the red indicator will be replaced on green, usually it is hour 3 on time).
6. After зарядки we take out the accumulator, NOT including a handheld computer and we wait about one minute.
7. We insert back. Now it is possible to include!
P.S. Sometimes at performance of this procedure the indicator maybe green it is primary at зарядке, all the same three hours it is charged, then the device I include, I charge while the indicator with red does not become green, I take out the battery, I wait minute, I insert аккум into a handheld computer. We unload the accumulator up to 0 % (while itself it will not be switched off), having started video, or other ways.
Mmmmmm this send interesting and rather typical for you.

You didn't read the post above yours, did you?
You got 10 posts. Now stop posting next to no sense information and get your grip.
I can confirm that the phone should shut off around 15% battery. This happened consistently to me running Oxygen 2.3.2.
Calibrate the battery HTC Desire
(Via USB will not work-do from charging a ROOT and
recovery modificirovanoe)
1. charge the body until the green signal diode.
2. disconnect the charging and shut down the body.
3. connect the charger and charge the vyklûčennomu body before the Green diode.
4. Oklûčit′ charge, include body load to the end, turn off and then charge to green diode.5. disconnect the charger,
, not including the body down the back button (or press the volume down) and press the power (enter in recovery), do wipe battery stats.6. Restart
.

screen turns on while charging

Quite annoying feature - the screen turns on and stays on while phone is charging. Sometimes it does sometimes it does not.
The way to fix it is to take the battery out and reinsert it.
Since the power supply runs red hot in this strange mode I'd find it quite annoying in $700 plus tax phone.
Yes "stay awake" is unchecked and everything is original (no ROM reflashing) and such.

TWEAKED 2.0 NOTE 3
Do you have any xposed tweaks installed? Some of them, like wanam have those options.

Wanam Exposed has an option under lockscreen to keep the screen from turning on when you unplug the device. Don't know if that might fix the problem you are having.
Had similar issue after failed attempt remove boot animation by deleting /system/media/bootsamsung.qmg
He running stock no root
TWEAKED 2.0 NOTE 3
No add-ons or roots.
Noted today that the screen comes on and stays on only when the battery charges up to about 50%.
Reboot does not help, only unplugging the battery, otherwise the power supply might melt down...
Turned out to be faulty power supply.
Screen lights on for me when charging phone too, I always just press the power on/off to turn it back off while charging. Is yours turning back on even after a manual screen off or maybe it's
lighting back up because of some notifications?

Oh ok that makes sense since it would be like the phone constantly being charged/running idle constantly and since the screen comes on every time you charge it...
Glad you figured it out:thumbup:

wifi turns off when i lock the screen

as the title says, my wifi turns off when i lock the screen. when i unlock it takes about 10 seconds for it to turn on again. ive searched everywhere and everyone told me to change wifi policy to always on. i already did this and it doesnt work. it is not because of battery saver because i even have it around 90%.
Go to settings then to wifi then click on wifi settings and in there you will find a option telling to stop yhe wifi when in sleep mode so uncheck that option and then nothing would happen
