Title says it. On my old phone I was able to delay my lock screen pattern from being needed but can't find the option anywhere. Basically I want the normal lock screen until its been locked for 5 minutes. I can only seem to accomplish this using widget locker which I really want to get rid of honestly.

Close. I think the functionality is just not there. My old incredible had a way of having a slide to unlock for the first ___ minutes then after you get the pattern. This just kinda delays any kinda lockscreen for awhile

Two ways to do it, which one do you need?
The first one is only if you have a lock on it, such as the numerical one.
The second option is if you just have he sliding lock, where you don't need to do anything but slide the circle to the Lock icon.
Just try them both and see which one works best for you.

Hi Guys, did you ever figure it out ?
I'm really frustrated by how elusive this setting is.
I'm running AOKP, but all that "Wait to lock screen" option in ROM control does is to cancel lock screen all together until timer is met and then it's just the password lock screen.
Did anyone figure out a way to do a "simple" lock screen with just a swipe, and then a "protected" lock screen when timer ran out ?

This does exactly as the title states. It will also swap positions of the menu and back keys. However there are some bugs, for example the status bar will disappear on boot and when applying themes until you force a notification. For instance taking a screenshot will bring it back. This is caused by adding a background to the ticker text so it doesnt overlap the clock. Im currently looking for a solution so if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
I personally run MIUI.us builds and have a LTE GNex but I believe this should work on any build regardless of LTE/GSM, as long as you are on the latest build (2.4.6). However please back up before flashing because I have no way of testing on a GSM phone.

There is more then one kind of Nexus, are you sure there not referring to the GSM nexus, Verizon is CDMA I don't remember seeing a SIM card slot or an IMEI. The GSM version can be permanently unlocked to other GSM carriers, although I didn't know about the trustworthy-ness of that particular site. The CDMA versions like Verizon can only be unlocked to other CDMA carriers. It is also good to know if the CDMA carrier you are moving to will let you active a Verizon MEID before you pay to have it unlocked or flashed to that carrier.

Some of you may have noticed in Jelly Bean, that if you text a lot, it tells you to knock it off with an annoying little dialog. Although I applaud Google's efforts to alert us to possible unwanted behavior from a malicious app, they may have been a bit overzealous with their thresholds.
JRO03H had a limit set of 100 messages in 30 minutes, which probably kept all but the most avid texters in the clear. However, when we merged to JRO03L last week, it had dropped to 30 in 30 minutes. Personally, I think it was a typo and should have been 300, but either way, it triggered on me so I set out to fix it.
That being said, it is corrected in the next build of Paradigm and committed to our public source for any dev that needs to fix it for their own ROM. However, in the meantime, I made a nifty little app that will fix it. It very simply writes a new maximum value to the settings database upping the maximum to 500 messages. The fix is "permanent" until you clear data. After that, it would need to be applied again.
There are two versions of the app, one signed with BAMF keys for our ROM, and the other signed with AOSP keys which should work fine on almost every other ROM. If not, have your favorite developer resign it with their keys and I'll add a link to the post. This fix should work on ANY Jelly Bean ROM for ANY device, but is completely untested outside of the Galaxy Nexus.
Please note, you are essentially disabling a security feature put in by Google, and we CANNOT be held responsible for any adverse effects this may have on your device.
Download for BAMF ROMs: http://www.teambamf.net/files/file/39-bamfsmsfix-bamf-keysapk/

Thats pretty much the only way, unless you want to query the database with sqlite.
Also, the second dialog tells you immediately if it failed for some reason.
But really, if it installs and runs, there is no way for it not to work.

I managed to get the CM10 quick reply working on the Samsung jellybean roms. All you have to do is extract the MMS.apk from the CM10 roms, copy it over to your system/app folder and set permissions to match the rest of the system apps.
I also renamed the Secmms.apk to Secmms.apk.bak then restarted the phone. It works perfectly.

So when you choose your app you can pick just once or make it default?

I read it was a Samsung feature to make it easy on the users. Must be the iPhone migrants

Agreed....forbid anyone have to click more than once on something to make a decision....:banghead:
Aside from a few quirks like that though, still a good device.

Yah I love it. It seems like to me that I still end up having to choose either way so instead of double click I click then wait for dialog box then click again.

I've been using App Picker Classic, and it emulates the functionality close enough for me.

Is anyone else able to pick to make an app default or just one time use? Like pics show I pick which app I want and it automatically makes it the default app which I hate because I'm constantly having to choose which app then hit OK for default things change so quickly on my phone that I'm constantly choosing the app. With being able to choose just once a quick double tap on the app you want took you to that app.

Samsung has released this as a stock feature on the Verizon and AT&T Variants that I have. I believe we will be seeing this on the 6.0 release for the GS6 variants as well. Don't quote me on that.
