Some of you may have noticed in Jelly Bean, that if you text a lot, it tells you to knock it off with an annoying little dialog. Although I applaud Google's efforts to alert us to possible unwanted behavior from a malicious app, they may have been a bit overzealous with their thresholds.
JRO03H had a limit set of 100 messages in 30 minutes, which probably kept all but the most avid texters in the clear. However, when we merged to JRO03L last week, it had dropped to 30 in 30 minutes. Personally, I think it was a typo and should have been 300, but either way, it triggered on me so I set out to fix it.
That being said, it is corrected in the next build of Paradigm and committed to our public source for any dev that needs to fix it for their own ROM. However, in the meantime, I made a nifty little app that will fix it. It very simply writes a new maximum value to the settings database upping the maximum to 500 messages. The fix is "permanent" until you clear data. After that, it would need to be applied again.
There are two versions of the app, one signed with BAMF keys for our ROM, and the other signed with AOSP keys which should work fine on almost every other ROM. If not, have your favorite developer resign it with their keys and I'll add a link to the post. This fix should work on ANY Jelly Bean ROM for ANY device, but is completely untested outside of the Galaxy Nexus.
Please note, you are essentially disabling a security feature put in by Google, and we CANNOT be held responsible for any adverse effects this may have on your device.

Thats pretty much the only way, unless you want to query the database with sqlite.
Also, the second dialog tells you immediately if it failed for some reason.
But really, if it installs and runs, there is no way for it not to work.

Any chance of a screenshot of the dialogue that pops up, or a quick way to send 100 texts without writing them all out.

Is it all mashed together so that you can't slide to pick an option? If so then it has to do with the inverted GApps. All you need to do is take a Phone.apk (just any normal non-inverted one) from another rom and place it in /system/app and that should fix the problem.

That makes me nervous about this rom working for me or not. Does it also show you as roaming? I had that problem with ICS where I could only use 3 or 4 different roms and the rest would show that I was roaming. Never could find out why and only a couple other people even had the problem. Luckily once Jelly Bean came along I haven't had any issues *knock on wood*

FIXED: the og batteries have the nfc function built in, not phone or ROM related.
So it seems NFC does not work when you are rooted. Google Wallet gives a message of "unsupported device" and the link it provides advises NFC is disabled for security reasons when a user roots their device. I would hate to go back to stock just to get this function working (maybe will do so once JB TW comes out), but I did come across this link where it appears a mod was made to enable NFC on rooted devices for the S2 line (most of them, at least). Any chance a talented dev can work on making this happen on our device?

I bet your using twrp? you must have updated your twrp recovery, there is an issue with the new one. Before flashing you have to go into mounts and remove the top X in the list and you should be golden. The TWRP team said they should have an updated fix this weekend.

This looks interesting....Thanks for giving us something new and different!!
I'm pissed off...! I have to wait till the morning to DL. 3G at home totally sucks and no Lte. smh
I'll catch it on the way to work, commute thru a Lte tower.
Thanks you so much *Demo. I like a taste of HTC on my Nexus legacy devices..

The ROM is simple, with a little salt and pepper. Not to many spices. I Can live with that

Everything is running smooth. My only personal issues are no ( gtalk, clock) and I forgot 1-2 well needed apps. Its personal might not trouble other users.
Can't find Google talk in the play store. If anyone has the apk please post.
Thanks OP you did a outstanding job here. Nice and slim, light weight with a touch of Sony, HTC and stock Google UI. Brilliant !!
