Hi!
This is the thread for the unofficial galaxy gio portal. the link is here:

It is basically a homepage where gio users can find instructions for rooting, etc, and includes all ROMs made for gio.

I tried to port LeWa-Os to your Galaxy Y. I don't own this phone. Still stuck on Nokia(I mod Nokia S60v5 based phones). I need testers. Here's the link, download it and report me. I need help from Devs to fix the bugs(if there is present)

Jeez people is this forum need to stop flaming Devs! Not everyones fake. Lets call him that after its proved. We're driving away Devs who would've probably made a ROM for us. So test first, flame em later.

Why is it that all new devs first come to our forum to test things?? . I am not at all trying to scare this dev and make him run away but its just human nature not to believe when there are couple of reasons like these (That guy has only 2 posts, no android phone and he is from symbian OS)

Giving it a test soon. How should it be flashed? Through CMW or stock recovery?

Dude I already ported it before
As taking the base as cm7
It had the same buggs in cm7
So i didnt post it .......
Hope this one might have the same buggs because nobody fixed the present buggs in cm7
If you want to help us . Try to port another cm7 at first before you doing this

I did use the tutorial mentioned above. I'll be getting my Galaxy Y in no time.

About the Rom
- Flash it via CWM
- Base rom do has bugs as mentioned by sgy.creed. Use patches by Mr.Vivek
- LeWa-OS rom is actually ported from HTC Hero. So I think it'll have screen resolution problems

nice..BTW what are the bugs? in your port?

Same bugs mentioned in cm7 section because it is made with the base of cm7 for sgy
We may solve some problems with flashable patch by Vivekananda kalady

im not offending the OP or anything but this looks like your nth-port-post-here thing,
and previous ports we found that nothing worked, and wont boot

This is a lewa OS port for the mb508

Download
Wipe data/cache
flash
Reboot into the best and fastest rom for the mb508

No, I dont have much knowledge, and my computer is not a fast one, so compiled cm9 takes way to long

the rom link is dead

the download link is dead, can't any one upload it on another server other than Mediafire, as it removes it for violation...

Sorry to tell you these threads are dead. Nobody has the file to upload, I tried finding them a month ago. All the devs that made them have moved on and none were ever finished. Sorry.

Yup i dropped my ICS port coz it didnt work. I was trying to make it from source (KANG) but adb didnt work. So I got frustrated and uninstalled my Ubunt along with the source.

I've already selected few testers. Waiting for their feedback.
I could have tested but my Galaxy Y isnt working. IC circuit shot.
So I'm using Optimus Black for the time being

Galaxy Pocket Duos source is incomplete. I'll try it after a week or so after my broadband's subscription gets renewed.

05/1/2013: Long time passed. Syncing androidarmv6 sources, get ready for new CWM. (Fixed everything in CM10, it works, but has low brightness and infinite reboot to recovery bug so decided to move to CM10.1 CWM)
31/10/2012: As I've already written, some problems with HD. Lots of segmentation faults on Linux partitions. Have to reinstall all my OSs (Cinnarch, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS/12.10). I'm downloading JB sources right now using Jellaxy repo manifest, tweaked for the Gio
It will take a lot of time... Here my download speed is 115-120 kb/s .-.

Why do you have this old version?! You could use updated versions by Phiexz from 5.0.2.7 (and also this 5.0.2.8 version).
Obviously v2 is too much outdated and limited of woking functions...!

I use this recovery and for me it's better then cwm and it's also from Phiexz:
px-recovery-0.3.6
It haves on screen buttons and you can see the battery percent also. If you want it i give you link from my dropbox

You may use px cwm v1 ... it support rfs file system

I appreciate your hard work, but if you sync CM repos, then you could build for us RZRecovery or TWRP Recovery, because they have a ton more features than CWM. :good:
