I was looking around to see what soft key would work for the new toggle widget feature in AOKP build 38 and couldn't find something I liked so I made this. What do you think?
I just made it a long press.

Could you make app icons in similar fashion?

After seeing some of the new Blackberry 10 screenshots, I noticed that it has soft buttons like Android 4.
Is it possible to add a phone icon to the left of the back button to launch the app?
Like so:

Thanks, but I'm not interested in leaving CM9.
Is there another way?
Bump for more info
AOKP, unless CM adds it as part of their rom.

I'm sure this will be quick and too the point.
How do I get an image behind my soft keys?
If I can't, where do I get shortcuts to go to home/back/recent etc if I was to use full screen mod?

You can't get an image for a navbar easily. There was a thread on it a long time ago and it was a lot more trouble than it was worth. If you want to go full screen you can use the button on the power menu or you can download LMT Launcher from the XDA Android Apps and Games section. It has some pie controls you can use like the advanced settings in the browser.

Yea I tried lmt and didn't really like it that much and power button is just a pain.
Any chance anyone could find that thread? I searched couldn't find it. Might be worth the trouble because it looks so sexy.

Yes the last one says statusbar but there's navbar in there somewhere.

Its just some simple text editing in the SystemUI.apk. Using apktool to decompile it, add a drawable reference to the image and then recompile the apk. Push to your device using adb or root explorer and job done.

I wnat clear statusbar
What can I do??
Custom Rom
Aokp gives you that option
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Damn beat me to it. Here's what AOKP Looks like with full transparency.
Chill out it's a GNEX.
Not a HTC phone.
Here's reassurance that it is a GNex.
The only phone with back, home, & task soft keys.
Does anyone know if this is possible to do. I think it would give our nexus a better full screen effect.
Anything is possible but it supposedly killed performance on old versions
But I would also like to see this in the future
And also there are multiple threads explaining this bump

Yes it is possible... But you're going to have to do some decompiling and compiling and change the status bar back ground .PNG file and recompile the .apk....

+1 woulb be kinda cool maybe in the future it will be standard for most roms or atleast a option
well, you can't get transparent navigation bar in JB by changing the background only, but you have to do your changes in smali too
A black to transparent fade in both status and navbar would be sweet as hell.
Please make this happen <3
Just like in Atrix HD
Bump! lookin' forward to this mod
What does the atrix launch with? ICS or jb?
Bump! i'd love it!

ICS for sure. When JB was released, it was only available for the Galaxy nexus, nexus S and motorola XOOM, and the Atrix was out before that
What's with all the talk about status bars? The guy asked about the navigation bar (where the soft keys are)
Haven't seen anything about it. But I agree that it would be pretty sweet and I would be down.
I've read on another thread that someone managed to make the navbar transparent. Only problem was the glow from touch stayed after using the buttons...
Haven't read that thread in a while, think it died.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
I have been thinking about this too since the day I got my Gnex..
I use a black background usually, but I think it'd be very very cool to get the navbar to be transparent. Even if the button glow had to be removed (when I run AOKP, I turn the button glow off anyway - I think it looks retarded how it gets cut off on the top and bottom on shorter nav bars).
Would definitely be interested in seeing something done here.
Couldnt we just get a cm build from them and copy the framework required?
I'd love a transparent volume indicator. I know its available but I want to have it on the stock Google ROM.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app

Awesome would be 80 or 100% transparebt Statusbar i think kind of easier. But i don't know either.. but i may be wrong

Hi guys!
I have a question. And i'm sure someone can tell me if it's possible or available.
I know we can get mods to have a fullscreen possibility. But is it possible to hide/show the softbuttons by using gestures? For example: swipe up to show. Swipe down to hide?
Hope someone can give me an answer.
Thanks!
Greets from holland.

I think the cm team is working on a similar function, long press power and select full screen to show/hide soft buttons and notification bar.
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus
It would actually be awesome to swype in to show the soft buttons and swype out to hide them
Yeah thats what i thought too! If i had the knowledge to build it. I did!
