UPDATED: CHAINFIRE3D V3.3 WORKS GREAT ON GALAXY S3!
Yesterday I tried to install the CF3D driver and my phone crashed , I had to reflash with the original samsung firmware ... do not try to use the Chainfire 3D v3.3 ...
I hope that version v3.4 will include S3 support ...
There is no need to use CF3D on galaxy s3 because you can run all games & apps currently out there.
works w/o problem for me, Omega V3
suky08 -> I can't not install most of the games in the play store ... I have to download the apks by myself and will they work???
[email protected] -> will Omega v3 allow me to install THD games on my Galaxy i9300?
Thanks in advance ...

In my device fruit ninja THD crashes (without Omega v3).
I will try to install Omega v3 ...
Thanks.
you need to install Chainfire 3D and install the NVIDIA plugin to be able to start THD games

Ok I will try the follow:
1 - I will install Chainfire3D and its driver
2 - If it crashes (again) I will install the custom rom Omega
3 - Then I will install the Chainfire3D and its driver on the Omega rom
4 - And if it crashes FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...!
Chainfire3D Works on Galaxy i9300!!
I made the first step an at this time the device did not crash!!
Now I can install any THD games!!
The problem was not Chainfire3D. It was LCD Density application!! I installed both applications at the same time ...
So do not try to use the LCD Density application!
Thank you very much to all!!
If Chainfire's market fixer working for you guys?
NOVA 3 is not compatible in Play Store... that sux.. but cracked version running pretty smooth..
is anyone else able to get it at Play Store?

You have to restart de market application in order to apply the market fixer ... in my phone work ...
Any gameloft game is not compatible with s3 ... is strange because they work in other devices with same resolution, I hope that this problem will be fixet without having to buy the special version of the game for the l9300...

Ok guys,
So i tried pretty much everything and i need your help. I flashed CF3D and actually bought the pro version. Before it used to crash but that was because i was on CM10 preview 7 and its pretty much unstable.
So i reflashed my samsung stock rooted rom, installed CF3D and its drivers and all went well. I am now able to search tegra 3 only games on my s3 but when i launch Shadowgun THD, it says device not supported.
Any ideas what i'm doing wrong? Oh and i made sure that in "Pre app OpenGL" that the Nvidia plugin is used to run shadowgun thd......

The latest Shadowgun is Tegra 3, the Tegra plugin on CF3D only supports Tegra 2 games.

Just wondering if this could end up being useful for us on kindle fire. I have yet to root my kindle to try any of this but maybe someone less lazy would want to take a gander or something.

You really need to read the instructions and follow them to a T. I've noticed a decrease in lag especially in the Silk Browser.
I've installed this on another tablet and phone and it works great. Didn't try on my Fire since I don't multitask with it like those others. Just make sure to follow the part in the instructions about using script manager to run the 99whatever script file at boot time and you should be good.

Been trying this since rooting. I normally move the script to /system/xbin and run through terminal emulator.
Would not run, Even with script manager I got permission problems.
in terminal sh script name works after su.
After rebooting though the minfrees are back to Kindle Fire standard.
It does say the launcher is "SUPERCHARGED!".
Installed the V6 supercharger and lowered my quadrant score from 2900+ to 2400+, Not good..
Humm I installed it along with sd speed increase and took my aututu scores from 6200 to 6400. I used option 8.
So I got to playing around and I too found that my quadrant scores did come up after unsupercharging.

If you don't mind sharing I'd like to know how you have it set up exactly, I usually use auto killer and it now fc's on me also.
Is very easey, Google and download V6 supercharger. Should see a guide in the first few posts that contain a download link. After downloading the zip extract and place the script in the root of the SD card (main SD card directory, not inside a folder) then do the following,
Download busybox installer from the market and then install an older version like 1.17.1. The script apparently has issues with newer versions above 1,17.1 so be carefull as by default the busybox installer app will have the latest version selected for the installation. Think its something like 1.19.
Download script manager from the market and select browse as root and then select the script you extracted to the SD card and the script will run.
Once it runs the only option I used was option 10 witch will ask you to set a value for each slot like autokiller. thre is also a few preset values listed as options 1-9. After you add a value for each slot enter 16 to exit the script. Will need to reboot the first time but after that the script can be run and values changed without needing to reboot.
The values to set depends on the apps installed. I like to customize the values so the apps I use the most often are more likly to stay in memory. The nice thing about autokiller is that you can view your processes and see what slot is controlling each app so you get an idea of what apps each slot is controlling.
I have version 8 running on cm7 an it makes a big difference (I use option 9) . Ran it on my old tab and on my Evo and it helps a lot with multi tasking and with interface smoothness. Haven't tried it on the stock ROM yet.

Debated on running v6 or v8 but being it was the first time I used the script decided to go with the version with the most documentation just in case I needed to do a bit of troubleshooting. In Philly and snowed in for the day so will probably be running v8 within a few hours.

Ok so for the last 2 days the Go Play Market has been giving me nothing but major problems! When I go to My Apps It only shows like 6 apps installed and gives me a RPC Error when I go to update apps. And all app downloads are failing. Tried clearing the Market cache and download cache but still won't work. What the hell! Google knows about the issue but no fix has been given!

Killing Zombies With My Galaxy S II
Possible fix
I have also experienced this same glitch on my Droid Charge ruining Tweakstock 1.4. Thus is what I did which seemed to work, but I still don't have the 2 seperate pages in the "my apps" section. Using Titanium Backup, I wiped the goggle play store data, uninstalled the google play store, then installed market 3.4.4 then opened Market, accepted the popups then let my phone sit with market open. I went to sleep and when I woke up and checked phone...all my purchased apps, installed and not installed, were in the "my apps" section. However, I still don't have the new My Apps section that has 2 sections

Remove the tibu market helper. Remove market using tibu.. remove the market backup from tiBu completely.. download n install market from

Reboot (if u want to be certain, wipe data, clean system, fix perms etc etc).. once Rom is up,
when you run market for first time after reboot,do it on wifi n not on the tmo ntwrk.
That fixed for me.
All the best.

This is what I did step by step
1. Using TiBU, I wiped google store data
2. Uninstalled google play store
3. Unistalled market updater.apk
4. Using TiBU, clean up Dalvik
5. Reboot phone
6. Install market 2.3.6 do not open app
7. Using TiBU, convert market to system
8. Open market app and leave open for a few minutes
Unfortunately you are stuck with an old version of the market but hopefully it will show your purchased apps whether they are installed or not

Droid Charge running TweakStock 1.4 with FP1 Radio
I'm going to share what I did/do to fix this, the new market is stupid and broken, I hate the new "My Apps" section, specifically the "all" section, just annoying and not very intuitive, Google needs to add a "PURCHASED" section, BAD MOVE GOOGLE!!!!!!
You will need terminal Emulator and ROOT, go to settings\applications\manage apps\google play store\uninstall updates. - DON'T OPEN THE MARKET EITHER!!
If the ROM you installed has the latest play store with these issues, find one that you like or works for you, when you uninstall updates, it restores the version that was pre loaded in the ROM, in my case, after I uninstalled updates, I installed Market 3.4.4, then I open terminal emulator, and type as follows:
su
touch /data/app/com.android.vending-1.apk
chattr +i /data/app/com.android.vending-1.apk
What this does is places a bogus APK file where Android tries installing the newest version of play store. The chattr command disallows Android to update the file.

i hear that his kernel puts a file in your sd storage, and that it could be the issue.
confirmed... stock AOKP b39 kernel, max payne works fine. franco kernel is the problem causing the game to not run.
just have to use another kernel for the time being until franco fixes.
TF201 AOKP+Motley latest kernel works like a charm.. runs smooth as butter.
About time we got Max Payne for the TFP!!
Loving MaxPayne3 for PC though... sweet sweet game!
Well, I am also running on B38, however I am not using stock or Franco's kernel, I am using popcorn kernel v11 instead and I have the same issue.
Does anyone happen to have the stock kernel for AOKP B38 available???, don't want to flash the whole ROM just for that

Okay I got Max Payne to work.
What I did,
1. Simply download the Kernel you wish to flash.
2. Open up the .zip file with WinRAR (or any other program that does zips).
3. Go into /system/ within the .zip file.
4. Delete /bin/ folder from /system/
5. Repackage the .zip
6. Wipe Cache/Dalvik.
7. Flash your new zip file.
And it works.

It doesn't matter what rom it is. If you flash a kernel that modifies the sdcard file it may prevent it from not working
Try flashing rom, gapps (if necessary), flash kernel without sdcard in the zip, wipe cache and dalvik, reinstall app(backup com.rockstar.maxpayne) and put the files back into android/data/ and start the game.
It should work. Alternatively you might not even have to reinstall the app. Just go to app info and delete cache for max Payne and start it. When it prompts to download game files just select next
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
edit: the reason why it didnt work is because you still had the old "sdcard" file... so its like you flashed kernel with the sdcard file still in it.
I uploaded my modified version of Franco Kernel's r186 (512MHz GPU OC).
http://www.mediafire.com/?pkvcp4zlb7cr708
So pretty much (regardless of ANY ROM that you use... unless that ROM modifies the sdcard as well, which i doubt it does):
1. Flash ROM
2. Flash Gapps (If your ROM requires it)
3. Flash Kernel
4. Wipe Dalvik & Cache
5. Reboot
6. Go into Max Payne's "app info" (manage apps) and press "Clear data" and "Clear cache"
7. Open it... game will ask you to download files [if you have them already downloaded, it'll say 0 files remaining (0 minutes) press next" and you should see a splash screen for "Remedy games"..... if this helped you, press thanks. if you have problems, post in this thread (dont PM) and ill try and help you out!

Ironically, that link doesn't work in the XDA Premium HD app. Chrome opens, the tab header says "Loading...", but the page never loads. The app seems to have trouble with links of the
Code:
[ URL=blah blah.com]text here[ /URL] (spacing intentional)
kind. Links done like
Code:
[ URL]blah blah.com[ /URL]
work fine, though. Not sure if it's a Tapatalk or XDA issue. The phone version seems to work fine, fwiw.

His OP doesnt give version numbers but I believe he is on the latest base. Just look at the release keys in build.prop and if they match mine then you are good. Otherwise I cant tell you for fact.
EDIT: He is using the same base.

So it works on any Android phone? or any S3 mini variant?
Just wondering why it is in this section.
Also , easy to uninstall?
Does it stay on the phone when you flash new Rom,?
Thanks

Works on any phone. Uninstaller here, is on the OP, you probably don't see it & I think you need to install it everytime you update your rom, like all others scripts (I think), have fun.
each scripts writing into init.d, addon.d, etc ... system folders have to reflashed again after updating ROM
Can be flashed with TWRP 2.7?

+1 this mod practically broke my phone. I had to uninstall it, because everything just froze and only a reboot could fix it Maybe it will get much better in future versions, but for now I'm deleting it!
.. what an unusefull post, since nobody knows what device you`re talking about...

oh, my bad. I forgot to add I'm using a GT-I8190 S3 Mini (because the mod is posted in this forum)
In our german forum for this script (http://hubo.in/showthread.php?tid=165) we have s3mini users reporting, it is working for them and now one acer a501 user too...
m.
Works with I8190 S3 Mini
With my first installation I faced some problems (screen "freezes" for 2-3 seconds, soft reboot)
Now I installed Malive at first after clean install. Now it seems to run stable and good. But no benefit regarding battery consumption.

Iwogu
I think it's not working, because I'm on a custom stock based rom. I'll try it again later

Installed the mod. Marked improvement in WiFi speeds, as compared to stock firmware. So it did something positive, at least for me.
Installed on Moto Matrix Cm 7... Killed my data connection. WiFi OK. Data...Sim... No go
