Well I was given a choice between galaxy ace+ or w I chose the wonder. I chose the wonder because of the processor however I heard that the ace + would be getting ics support while our wonder I not!
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
the ace plus is a pile of sh_t is basically the ace with 1ghz processor 1gb internal memory and bigger screen with the SAME RESOLUTION. good luck your smart to choose the wonder because its wayyy better trust me.
if you compared the screen with the aceplus you would be blown away
Sent from GT-I8150
You should have put the two screens together and compared them and im shure u will not ask if the ace + is better than the Wonder plus ,the wonder beats it in every thing else . And i saw a lot of threads and reviews that says the ace+ will not be geting ics
from my GT-I8150 using XDA
to me...its app compatibility for games and the ace + sucks with compatibility.theres about 1( not literaly) app compatible for it...and if you think about it our phone is like a mini s(II)
Sent From The Phone Of Gamers
i prefer wonder because galaxy ace+ isn't cool enough
i will choose galaxy wonder. because ics for galaxy ace will use crapy touchwiz. its will be laggy like galaxy s3 users feel.

Cos I might be changing phone soon as my contract expired. Also, shud I keep using android , or change to windows phone? Cos I've meddled with android for a while now. ( I can't afford ios, lol.) HTC HD2 would be nice, it can run
-Android
-Windows Phone
-Windows Mobile
-and tons of custom stuff.
But, I'd say that some cheaper HTC, i.e Desire is nice.

Anyone upgrade to this from a gnex?
Is this like owning an s4 equipped galaxy nexus?
I can't decide between this and evo4glte (will probably go with the lg s4pro phone instead idk...), what's the difference hardware wise between this and the gnex? The evo4gllte seems like a huge upgrade for me but I like the galaxy s series..
Edit: Let me verify if the only real difference between this and the gnex is the chipset and cameras, I might upgrade to that instead since it'll be like owning the s3 in my own little world but half priced
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda app-developers app
there are a million thread about this bro. just do a search on here or google
s4 is a big step up and touchwiz has nice features that gnex won't have. The camera is way better on this phone . I thought duel core was duel core not i was wrong this phone flys stock.

Hi, i have to buy a new phone after about 5 years =P and i want to keep for at least 3-4 years
I have seen many topic about that...but i really don't know which one to choose.
The big difference is the GPU, one have PowerVR SGX540 (galaxy nexus) and the other one have mali-400 (SGSII)
Which one is better? considering that i want also to play games.

Either device will be aptly suited to play games and things. The difference is hardly noticeable and the fact that the Nexus is officially supported by AOSP, means developers will have no problems porting future builds to the device that will run far better then the builds will run on the SII.
Id say go with the Nexus, it already is a full OS update ahead of the SII
The galaxy nexus has a better gpu but a higher screen resolution, so gamimg performence is slightly worse on the nexus, but the s2 wont get jelly bean or higher, so go with the nexus

the Mali is definitely a better gpu, so you're wrong there.
honestly though, imo the nexus is still a better phone

Exactly! Not only wrong there, S2 users got stock JB leak last month. It will get JB as promised. I am not a heavy gamer but I have never heard anybody with TIOMAP-4 complaining about game lag. I replaced my S2 with GNex more than 2 months ago and I do not regret at all. S2 is obviously a great device but I cannot imagine myself going back to it. User experience is incomparably better here with Nexus. Stock JB has breathed a new life in this phone. While S2 feels kinda obsolete (due to low resolution screen) now GNex still gives you high end device's experience.
thanks all of you =) i'll buy galaxy nexus!
Galaxy Nexus all the way!!

Not really, many of them are disappointed with lack of possibilities to further development due to the fact that samsung exynos (or even yamaha soundchip) is closed hardware. Next firmware update will be most probably the last one for this handset. CM10 can be hardly called stable there....no butter, no sound as it should be, no hdmi out etc. Elite developers from Team Hacksung (like Codeworxx, Entropy, Xplowid) are already fed up with this device and I really understand them.
I would steer clear of the SII. Sprints SII has been known for issues since the ICS update. Battery not lasting and reception is not the best. I am not sure of the other carriers, but for Sprint it has been a headache. Just some advice for you coming from a technical consultant(I repair the phones) from Sprint.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I would get the Galaxy Nexus just for the resolution, the bigger screen and the stock android which is awesome. Timely updates as well.
From a previous Galaxy SII owner perspective, stay away from the SII!
No sources -> Bad development -> Bugs -> Frustration.

The choice is inevitable, go for the Galaxy Nexus.
So what do you guys think about the galaxy s4 Im thinking ofneatuer getting this or the note 3 that is comeimg out soon leaning more twprd the s4 though but I want to here your opinion on the s4

I own all editions from galaxys to note edition ....to give you right answer. ....
If don't mind little bigger phone. ...your advantage is better battery better overall use...to my opinion if your lifestyle is one thing that you need to consider. ....
S4...
Little smaller not very big difference. ...lower battery life. ...after some time fills like S3 ...almost same tasks can be done. ..
My winner is still Note II and Note III on the way

Hi guys.. im planing to buy grand or s3.. i like dual sim option in grand.. i read the all specs changes between the two phone.. but my main purpose is buying a phone is game play without lag.. good batery life... xda development support , future samaung software updayes and usability.. can i expect all this from granda?? Can someone explain me?? I lv this phone.. but i like to listen from you guys coz u guys are not average users
And another thing... if i use cuatom rom can use dual sim option?
GRAND is midrange phone so samsung will not provide future major updates like they give their S or Note series and also development support on samsung galaxy S series more and all apps compablity also better in S series phones. Regarding build quality grand has better design like samsung S4 but in terms of hardware its almost like samsung galaxy S2 good for daily using and playing HD games in low or mid quality. And dual sim features are still not compatible with custom Roms.
I charge my grand 2 times daily, recently updated on jb 4.2.2 most of time I play Asphalt 8 and use net, before rooting my grand asphalt 8 only running on very low and low graphics options but after rooting I changed my ph model no to S4 model now its running Medium and high setting.

I agree with Suraj007 on the fact that development is more on the S series legacy devices like S3
But for everyday use my Grand's battery life easily goes over 20 hours, if I'm not playing games all around the clock of course
Hardware wise, the screen for S3 is AMOLED and Grand uses TFT, so upto user choice which one is preferred. In my opinion, S3 has a better screen, resolution and ppi, but unless you are stickler for those kind of things, you won't notice it. S3 also has a better Processor compared to Grand but the difference isn't that vast. But in case of looks, Grand beats S3 any day as it looks close to Note2 and S4 devices while S3 just looks aged
As Suraj007 pointed out, some custom ROMs don't support dual sim functionality, but only those based on CM10 have issues, that are in process of being resolved. The most popular and widely used stock based-ROM (GENNXT ROM in my signature) for Grand supports Dual Sim without any issues
As for updates, both S3 and Grand Duos are in the list of possible devices to receive the 4.4 KitKat update in the upcoming months
I got both Grand n S3
And I can tell you that only major difference is Screen ....
Nothing else ...
Camera is same on both but pics will look much more sharp on s3 bcoz of screen resolution 720p
Games run equally good on both devices ...
But games compatibility is better on s3
Once yu hold the device the look n feel is better on s3 ... s3 can be used in one hand
Grand is better in battery backup ... if u know how to preserve the battery .... 10% better not much
Grand has 4.2.2 now official .... samsung yet to release 4.2.2 or 4.3 on s3 .... still its running 4.1.2
But s3 has much better development ....
Buy S3 .... the xtra cost is worth the money.

i suggest go for s4 mini duos it is good qcom processor,1.5gb ram, may be getting cm 10.1 official as it's lte version already has official cm10.1 .
and i think qcom is better for development always...
It depends because grand is a mid range phone I have been using it for a year and I haven't faced any problem till now there's no lag in games like asphalt 8 fifa 14 etc but I would prefer s3 as it has 1.4ghz quadcore snapdragon processor and its gameplay is also great!! It depends on your choice just go for the phone with the best features as both of these phones have great gameplay!!
