how do i get the phone to not bootloop, i did everything right! i just got into stock recovery and did a reset and still nothing
try wiping cache and dalvik
just reinstalling a custom clockworkmod n go but to being rooted
Every time I've gone back to stock, unrooted, I get a bootloop. Best bet is once you flash back to stock, wipe cache/dalvik, reboot to recovery, wipe cache/dalvik again and reboot. This works for me and I only stumbled upon it whilst troubleshooting a bootloop at work, away from my puter. Good luck!
Boot into recovery and do a factory reset. Only way to completely get rid of all issues after unrooting.

Ok, i'm not a noob (at least i don't think so),
I've flashed every which rom before to play with, no problems ever.
Currently i'm on CM10 Nightly, with stock CM10 kernel and last ATT Modem (JB)
Wanted to go and try out the TW official release but need to stay rooted for TB.
I got CWM - cleared cache, cleared data, cleared davlik, formated /system /data /cache /sdcard
Went to download mode, kicked off ODIN
phone reboots and gets stuck at Samsung glowing loader
Tried above with TeamWin recovery - same thing
Tried to dirty flash over CM10 - same thing.
Tried to flash cache/davlik/ etcc with CM10 installed and flash with Odin, same thing.
Tried even all above steps with stock / unrooted JB rom, same thing.
Re-downloaded both stock and rooted roms and tried all of the above steps, same thing.
I can Nandroid back to CM10 no problem and it loads with no issues....
I'm about to give up on TW but just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas what am i missing?
Try reinstalling the samsung usb drivers. Seems like something went wrong while flashing from ODIN...

Could also be an issue with the ROM file itself...where did you download it?

After flashing the rom you need to do a factory reset in recovery

Whenever it gets stuck, hold down the power button, up volume, and home key... Once shut off let go do the same, when you feel it vibrate, let off the power button and hold up and home key. It should reboot into recovery and you can do a factory reset to wipe your data. wipe Data/factory rest and wipe cache, then reboot. Mine booted right up. :good:
Someone else's post that I saved for myself on note pad for when it happens to me so I don't forget

Not working for me.
I'm stuck at Samsung Logo.
Tried to do the factory reset in stock recovery that's loaded after ROM install with Odin, no go.
Installed CWM recovery and tried to do reset / wipe cache/ wiped davlik/ no go
Tried to re-download ROM and tried again, no go.
Tried to load TeamWin recovery and do the same thing no go.
Still stuck at Samsung logo -
Waited good 15 20 min and still stuck
sorry i am at a loss
Try downloading a different version of tw stock rom.
It could most likely be because the original one you downloaded in corrupted or a incomplete file.

sent from the dark side of the universe....
I took my stock GSIII and rooted and installed hyperdrive, but texting was really awful, and battery was bad so I proceeded to reinstall. Didn't work. So I flashed one of the rooted stock firmwares from the root no tripping flash counter thread. Now its worse. i cant get in to the app drawer it always just says that android.core or something like that has stopped and proceeds to kick me out. At this point I am done and just want to have rooted stock then use triangle away and then flash pure stock and end up with a good warranty, pure stock phone, any help?
Did you wipe your cache/data factory reset every time you flashed?

Yeah...
repeat the process: wipe data and cache in recovery then boot into download mode. flash the correct stock firmware via odin with "auto reboot" unchecked. when you get a "pass", pull the battery. reinsert the battery and immediately press the recovery button combo. once in, wipe data and cache again. reboot. report back.
Tried going from 4.2.2 back to stock via Odin...screen stuck on Samsung logo! Ideas?

whenever you go back to stock via odin, you have to boot into stock recovery and wipe data. now you know
Usually just wiping cache and dalvik cache fixes the boot loop after returning to stock. That's what I did the one time it happened to me anyway.

You cannot wipe dalvik cache in stock recovery. I know what you're saying, though
I Recently Installed Hyperdrive Rom, But When I Went To Reboot It... It Started To Boot Loop. I Tried To Go Back Into Recovery To Reflash The Rom Or Jus Install A Different Rom... & Even That Started To Boot Loop. Im Pretty Sure That Its A Quick Fix To This, So Hopefully Someone Can Help Me Out (Hyperdrive Rom, TWRP Recovery, T-Mobile GS3)
( NOOB) :crying::crying::crying:
You did a clean install right? Factory reset, wipe cache, and dalvik cache?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
yes sir
Try flashing a compatible kernel, such as one of ktoonsez in original development.
If that doesn't help you may need to odin back to stock first.
Make a nandroid first if you have any important data.

You should give CWM a shot. It has never failed me before.
Unless you really really prefer TWRP.

I was previously helped by others to get my phone back to stock using a rom, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2561433 but after using Odin and successfully installed it, the phone won't boot past the T-Mobile logo, I even left it alone for nearly 30 min and the phone was very hot. I have tried reinstalling the rom and wiping cache partition and dalvik in recovery.
Wipe data.
