Phone bricked after flashing arco's ICS - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Hey guys,
I flashed arco's ICS alpha 3 using CWM and everything was working fine for a few hours. Installed some apps and rebooted the phone. But suddenly the phone didn't reboot and now isn't turning on anymore. I can't even get it to the recovery or download mode. It's totally bricked. When I connect it to the PC, it trys to install QHSUSB_DLOAD driver.
Is there a way that I can unbrick the son of a *****?
Any help will be appreciated.

In my opinion it is a full brick. To "unbrick" the minimum is to be able to get into download mode.

I was affraid of that. But ok. Thanks for the response. I'll try to go to samsung costumer center and see if they will help me.
I installed Winamp Pro, XDA and Swiftkey X for testing.
I was able to reboot the phone with no problems even after I installed the apps. Rebooted it a few times. But on the last time I tried it bricked, for no apparent reason.

or pull out the battery för ten minutes and then try to enter downloadmode

i recently got tmobile galaxy s2 with cracked scree. so i replaced the screen and when i turn it on. it reboots then after 1 min it does the same thing over and over. idk why that's happening. any idea how to fix the problem. help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
I would recommend you call and get another if you just got our. I really don't suggest the following return it! I am not responsible for what you do with your phone. If it is bad hardware you want a new one.
You just need download mode hold Vol buttons on boot and plug in USB as it boots but before samsung logo goes away (may take a few good tries there is a real trick to it sometimes).
If that works follow Odin flash directions for rooting the phone. I used theunlckr guide myself (easy find via Google).
If you can get download mode and flash a recovery package to it you may get it running. may just be really bad flash on their end.
I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU REALLY TRY RETURNING IT AGAIN IF YOU JUST GOT IT. USE THIS ONLY AS A LAST RESORT. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS WITH YOUR PHONE.

Did the phone work fine before you swapped the screen?
Either, you shorted something during the screen swap.

[Q] Bricked Gio... any ideas?

Hi all,
i just bricked my Galaxy Gio... i installed Rom Manager, downloaded CWM Recovery 4.0.1.5 which according to this:
http://clockworkmod.com/rommanager
page is the version to use with the Gio. After flashing CWM Recovery I turned the phone off.
Now my phone is _completely_ bricked... it doesn't respond to any input at all, it doesn't respond to my pushings of the on/off button.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
Flash stock with odin, plus there was a thread to not to flash cwm from rom manager.

Look for unbricking tutorial thread in

everyone! Its no use, you have to bring it back, say that you dropped it or something, they repaired mine for free
Sent from my good ol’ Gio
Give it to the service guarantees if you have
Say that when you update your phone software Kies is disabled and will not turn on
The program you probably burned RomManager Memory Storage Capacity
So for anything they should not come
A Kies as it gets updated Boot can load anything so as to disconnect the phone is dead
Perhaps exchange the motherboard and that's all

I turned the phone in to 3 today, they will probably have to replace the motherboard as Rom Manager seems to have... messed it up bigtime.
Hopefully they won't charge me much for this though in the reparation log it says:
Warranty: None
Insurance: None
I got the phone just a few months ago when changing mobile operator to 3... i'm really happy with the phone, just have to fully understand that in the Android world your not quite as protected as in the realm of iOS – for better and worse.

[Q] Slimbean Brick

So I flashed the latest Slimbean last night and it instabricked my phone. Total failure. After I rebooted the phone would turn on, wont charge, wont go into recovery or download mode. Yes I flashed correctly and yes the battery was charged. This is probably the 10th rom i've tried with this phone. Any help out there?
Make sure you're trying to boot into download using the correct combo (Vol down + power + home buttons) use Vol up for recovery.
Make sure the file you downloaded is for US GS3 codename "d2att,d2tmo, or d2ca" and not anything international.
If you didn't flash anything international or from another phone you shouldn't be bricked.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Hmm, maybe I did flash the I9300 one, but even so. Why would that mess with my recovery/download?
The I9300 flash contains a kernel specific to I9300, not I747 or I747M...

Because the international versions hardware is COMPLETELY different than US version.
If you did flash international version you're completely out of luck, you're bricked and your phone is now a paperweight. Sorry bud.
Only thing that can bring it back to life is JTAG service.

Edit: When plugged in to shows qhsusb_download. Can I flash from Odin with this or does that mean it needs jtag?

Download Kies to get drivers then disable or uninstall kies so it doesn't disturb Odin. Flash stock ROM with Odin and you should be good to go. You'd need to get into download mode though on the phone. If you can't, I'd say you can only JTAG.
Course, I've never bricked my device. That's just what I gathered based on the little bit I just read up on. Good luck.

As stated by busarov, if your device is seen by your PC there is still hope!
Try Odin as many times as you can as long as your device is visible.
I've read its taken up to 5 times times for some users to get it to work after flashing international firmware.
Just don't use Kies. Since your device is rooted it will have problems. Stick to Odin.

There is not necessarily hope. The PC can still register a generic USB device on a hard brick. Unless the phone can be put into download mode, either by Volume Down + Home + Power or by homemade/purchased USB JIG, I'm afraid a JTAG is your only recourse.
Keep in mind if the device does not turn on at all, no vibrations, no flicker of light, even after a battery pull, and the only sign is a red LED turns on when plugged into the charger, the phone is hard bricked and will require a JIG (not guaranteed) or a JTAG.

Agreed, even though you flashed a Slimbean ROM, it was for the incorrect variant. Your thread title should be changed to reflect that, as it may cause new users to be fearful when flashing that ROM.

[Q] GN 2 GT-N7100 hard bricked. Help!

Hello everyone,
My GN2 GT-N7100 just got hard bricked. I don't find, so far, any affordable solution to recover it. I have connected it to recharger but the battery logo shows up empty all the time. I've tried HOME+VOLDOWN+POW, but no access to download recovery mode. I've also tried "adb reboot recovery" hopelessly.
It got bricked out of no apparent reason. The phone has been working nicely for 6 months.
Any clue about an affordable solution?
Thanks.

I would like to mention that, before getting hard-bricked, it was entering to recovery mode. I tried couple of times to copy the original ROM through ODIN, but it did ask for a PIT file. This procedure of uploading (an executing) the PIT file didn't work.
Just remembering another discussion thread, I presume that the problem might be that the battery has run out. And that is why it does not enter in recovery mode. However, I've also tried HOME+VOLDW+PW with the phone connected to a USB source, and nothing happens (although yesterday the procedure was working).
Do you think that if I manage to recharge the battery it will work? (i.e. it will enter in the rec mode?)
Thanks for your help,
Andrés
:good:
Plug to the charger using the original cable provided by Samsung, allow to charge for a while, then w/o unplug hold power and home button by 15 sec, then if don't back in order try to get in adb recovery, then flash last stock rom image, discard rooted ones, this worked to me few days ago, seems some bug related to the last patch from samsung.

The exact experience was that couple of days ago, my GT-N7100 rooted and running CIS80 (since Feb), started to hang. I rebooted it a couple of times during the morning. In the afternoon got bricked 'out of no apparent reason'.
Do you have any useful suggestion appart from that ?

[Q] Official software upgrade - probably bricked my galaxy grand :'(

Hi all
I got a notification of the latest software upgrade available for my device. I downloaded it and installed it. The installation process was shown to have reached 100% and then the phone screen went black and then did not turn back up. When I connect the phone to charger, I do not see any battery charging icon
I had my phone connected to the power outlet while I was upgrading? Is my phone bricked? Any way I can resolve this issue? My phone is out of warranty.
I have never ever rooted the phone. Not sure why would this happen with an official software upgrade.
Any help will be immensely appreciated

After successful flash the phone will reboot automatically and will stay on bootloop, while rebooting press and hols home+vol.up+power button. Then factory reset, wipe dalvik, wipe cache. Then reboot system..
Why not PDA? When i flashed stock rom i choose PDA and choose the file.
Auto reboot and f.reset time are the only checked boxes
