If you use it right, the glass won't break, regardless of whether it's Gorilla Glass or normal glass. You don't often break your glass cup right?

My wife had a Droid Razor with the so called "Gorilla Glass" that you love do dearly, got up from the booth at Culvers during lunch, fell off her lap 2 maybe 3 feet high, and crack, glass shattered like nothing. So after having GG on my Vibrant, my wife's Droid charge, and her RAZR I can tell you its nothing more then a scratch resistant solution, that's it. And its not scratch proof either, just a little resistant, i would still HIGHLY recommend good screen protection.

It is just overhyped. Add Oleophobic coating to anything and the coating will scratch

zagg.
Ghost Armor
xoskin or sgp
I have a zagg which I love because it looks great and I can have bestbuy install it. If I felt good about doing it myself I'd get an xoskin. Zagg does get a bit or orange peel to it but for me that's not a negative.

i tried all even xoskins, at the end, i use none. its been nearly 7 months now and still no scratch or any kind of marking.
Hey guys, I want to buy a really nice screen protector not the cheap one. The current one which I have is like a crazy finger magnet! And because of that I'm super bugged.
Can anyone suggest me a good scratch resistant and a non finger magnet scratch guard please!

I just bought these: . They should be here in a few weeks. My xo skin has fingerprints all over it. I bought this, in hopes that it is more like the one I got from ATT for my Infuse.

The ones you can get directly from Verizon are actually pretty nice. 3 for $13. Just don't get anti glare as your screen willlook distorted.

Just the glass? Yeah you can find it pretty cheap but who's doing the replacement itself? Samsung will do it for $160 including the glass. It's dicey doing it yourself though...

True. Yeah I've seen the glass for my gsm model going for 15 on eBay. But I though glass and LCD are connected, meaning I would have to soughter the parts back together? Anyone have any more info on this?

They are not connected. A heat gun separates the glass.

I would check out this thread.
Also, notice that the author of that thread updated it to say he doesn't recommend it after a long-term test.

Don't try to change only the glass, the lcd screen is very atached to it and you can't do it, a friend of my alos had to sell the motherborad after the unsecsfull operation. It's just my opinion....
I just replaced the screen and digitizer on mine. I purchased the replacement from eBay for about $130. I watched a YouTube video on how to take the phone apart. It was very easy to do.

Anybody know where I can purchase the front housing and battery cover for the Sprint L900 gray? I dropped my Note II and its pretty beat up now. I looked on flebay but did not see anything without buying the LCD.
I don't know about the front housing... But the battery door can be had off Amazon for $25, which is a bit of a ripoff.

Yeah that is a tad high for a plastic cover.

So my friend sent in her s4 for repairs and Samsung sent her a galaxy nexus. She dropped it this morning and the screen cracked. Since its a temporary phone, what is the procedure for this? Does anyone have any experience

Man how high did you drop the phone from and what angle? The Galaxy Nexus is pretty difficult to break?

Mines has held up very well from drops on to hard surfaces multiple times, 3-4ft high, but that's with a bumper case.
My bro prefers to not use cases so his GN took a few drops without any case and it just nicked/scratched the edges a tiny bit, screen had no damage.
His S4 screen cracked just from being in the pocket.
LOL
My other friend's galaxy nexus survived falls for 2 years and this one couldn't survive for 2 days smh
