Perfect fit(gsm)
I own other cases but this is the best. my only complain if I would be picky is that there is a line around the side of the case (check last pic), I know it is the way plastic stick together but I would like to be a little less obvious.
If you want to buy it,$16.99, I would recommend checking ebay, as SGP has an official ebay store and shipping is free (in their website has same price but they charge shipping)
Thanks!
does it fit the LTE perfect?
How hard is it to push the volume and power buttons?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
Seller says only international version
-----
It is a little hard pushing the buttons, there is no feedback for power button. You get use to it eventually.
It fits the GSM version with the extended battery so I'm sure it fits the LTE version with the standard battery. Extended might be pushing it.
It is true there is virtually no feedback from the power button.
I had the same case when I had my first nexus. Lovely case, feels great.
It does fit the LTE version but doesn't look as good as the GSM version IMO, it does look damn good tho

Just got this today as well. The fit on my GSM with extended battery is actually better than with the standard battery. It is definitely the nicest so far of my SGP cases........and I have all of them!

How is it compared to regular TPU cases? How is the protection? I like the look of it, but there is a smaller lip around the screen than with most other TPU cases? Won't that protect the phone less?
Nice to see someone like this as well. I have the black version and use an extended 2000mAh batt. fits well. i do have a GSM phone.
I'm a new gsm user, and i'm happy this case will fit the gsm version with extended battery

I have the mercury TPU case, and it looks it protects better (it is ticker) but it makes the phone to big and I don't like the way it looks.
This spigen case will protect the phone against scratched form desks, from drops I don't know; but I would help, it is not super thin anyway it is ticker than the battery cover.
I never really used my other cases after one week (phone felt bulky), but this spigen one I haven't taken it off since I bought it, very good balance btw protection and looks.
Off topic but where can I get that wallpaper from? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find it. Could you pretty please post it?

I second this.
The lip over doesn't really protect the phone but making the screen appear smaller and clunkier because all you need is a raised edge that lifts the screen slightly up when placing it face down(not overlapping it); SGP Capsule got it.
It's my 2nd favorite case.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the seller shimshop on ebay has the best price for the genuine extended battery and cover.

SILICRYLIC Hard Shell Case with Silicone Core
http://www.myincipio.com/Samsung-Ga...CRYLIC-Hard-Shell-Case-with-Silicone-Core.asp
nice. i liked the first one, and just bought one
I bought the hard case/silicon core at the VZW store when I bought the phone. I found that if you take the outer shell off, you can place it over the screen (fits better upside down) to protect the front, that way both sides have some sort of protection on 'em.
Wonder if it will fit the extended battery cover?
I'll post back when mine shows up, just picked up the $25 ext. battery on VZW's site...
Anyone get these yet? I'm looking at the first one, how much bulkiness does it add to the device?
To my dismay, the first Incipio cover adds a lot of bulkiness all around. It does well to protect it hough so I'm using it currently whenever I go to work and I need to have my phone on me. The Feather case is nice because it virtually feels like there isn't much of a case, but from personal experience with the same brand case (incipio feather) when using a Nexus S, the case doesn't do well to protect the corners.. So when you drop it and it lands on its corner (because it somehow tends to), there's still a possibility of denting/scratching.

This does in fact fit with with the extended battery/cover. The hard case is a tight fit, but it works and looks fine!

That is clearly NOT the feather.
I bought the Silicrylic case from Verizon themselves.. I'd assume that the feather case would be for LTE but I will drop by my VZW store again and check for a feather case and try on the fit with my GSM model. The Silicrylic fits nicely but it isn't totally hugged by the silicon part.

Greetings all -
I have the VZW extended battery SGN and I'm looking for a case that provides a little bit of shock protection, fits on the extended battery and has a kickstand. Coming from the Thunderbolt this phone is a breath of fresh air in regards to weight and size, so I want to keep that part intact. The Verizon kickstand holster from what I hear doesn't really provide very much in terms of protection and doesn't fit well on the extended battery.
I've searched threads and most cases seem too bulky or no kickstand..can anyone point me in the right direction?

I bought the otter box case from verizon on sat and will be returning it tomorrow. It is a nice case, protects the phone and allows portrait and landscape.
My only problems are lint(its a magnet for pocket lint), form factor(its tank like) and the built in screen protector(gives the screen a grainy look).

The Seidio Active has a built in kickstand. I've used the Active's in the past and I like them pretty well.

yeah I use it when eating lunch at work too =o. Just using verizon holster without extended until something better comes around...what a wasted extended batt!
So does the seidio active with kick stand not work with the battery? Id love to order it but its a bit pricey if it doesn't work.

I too was looking for a nice case with kickstand but Verizon only offers one and it looks sh!tty. I bought myself a couple of these small phone stands: one for work desk and another in my car in case I wanna watch something in the restaurant during lunch. They're pretty small and compact when clipped in.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400266244836
I second the Seidio Active. It apparently has a cutout in the silicon layer beneath the kickstand that allows it to accommodate the extended battery. Look for Asianrage's posts in the case sticky for pictures of the Seidio Active with the extended battery.

So, i broke down and ordered the seidio and it doesn't fit real well with the verizon extended battery, but if you take the plastic cover off of the back off the phone it fits perfectly and you can't tell the back is off. Its no thunderbolt kick stand though that's for sure. The angle is steeper and of course its wont do portrait mode.
Overall I like it. Its built well but the power button is a bit hard and if you have a dock that uses the 3 pin connectors they are covered up.

Did you try to massage the silicone with the back applied? Work the corners and readjust the sides. That's the only thing you have to do. The initial fitting was disappointing for me, so I used the system without the battery cover, but decided to give it a second chance after a few days. Have you seen the pictures that I posted in the link above? That's my phone with the extended battery and cover encased in the Active.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405890&page=9
The kickstand reclines too far back compared to the Bolt, given how short the leg is.
And I doubt that there will be any 3-pin dock that would support any cased SGN.
Oh sweet I hadn't seen that post, I'll try wrestling with it again.

Well after trying again with the back plate on the phone I'm going to stick with my original recommendation. For me, the the fit is much better with the battery cover plate off.

So after receiving my Ultra Capsule case from SGP and being disappointed with the fit like everyone else I went ahead and ordered the Mercury TPU case from ebay. It is almost identical to the Ultra Capsule series but the fit is much better and this is with me using the extended battery with the stock battery door. There are cutouts for everything which I like compared to the Ultra Capsule that didn't have cutouts for any buttons. Note that the fit is not perfect as the top doesn't go perfectly over the edge of the screen but still gives a lip to prevent the screen from touching the ground if its dropped face down. This is a clear choice right now if you are a LTE owner looking for a nice white case or one of the other colors they offer. Pics are garbage quality sorry.

Anyway you could post a pic with the stock battery & stock cover to see if it fixes the case at the top of the screen? thanks.
Will try to get to it tomorrow. Just a quick update that I got the top lip of the case to fit over the front of the phone by pushing it over a little. Seems to stay in place now.
I was really looking forward to the LTE version of the SGP Ultra Capsule because I want a white TPU case, but I may get this instead! I don't want to go too long without a case.

I just received the 2 cases I ordered but couldn't seem to get it to fit my Verizon Gnex. I have stock battery. Is there a trick to getting it to cover and what about screen protectors? Do you have one on your phone?
**Never mind. I am going to sell these two cases, one is purple and the other is lime green. Let me know if you are interested.
Im mostly curious as to staining. I LOVE white on any phone/device but everytime I get a case (Usually a soft touch shell or lint magnet) after about a week of using it, it get a nasty discoloration from my pocket/hands/ect. especially around the corners and back. Does TPU do this too? Or am i doomed to find a proper white case?

Most TPU turns the ugly yellowish color after about 2-4 weeks. I know we add a chemical that stops this process in our white TPU
So this won't work on lte with extended battery with extended cover? I like how it looks but I don't want to commit if I can use.

I have the Lte gnex with stock battery and I wasn't able to get it to fit over both sides. The first post here says they have the extended with stock door and they got it to fit. If there is a trick to it, and anyone wants to share it, I would love to hear it.
I have the white version of this case if anyone's interested in pics. I've only had it for a few days but it's come in handy when my phone survived a fall of around 4ft onto tile with no damage. I also have the diztronic and I feel like this case is more sturdy/stiff, but neither is bad protection wise.
I didn't see another thread with this specific topic. Who out there is using a case for their GS3, and what cases are you using? I'm on the fence, am not usually a case user, and I'm not sure which one to buy. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Also, any pictures and/or links would be appreciated!
i got a case from rockphones. Its really more of a stylish low profile bumper than an encasement
I've been hearing good things about Diztronic cases so I ordered one to try out.
Are the TPU cases supposed to be good shock absorbers?
I picked up a Body Glove today from a local AT&T store. Way overpriced, at $30. But, it is a snug fit, and the whole thing slips into a leather belt-holster nicely.
That being said, I just put on a Zagg HD and am thinking of ordering one of those carbon-fiber stick-ons.
I've got a Rock case on order, just waiting for it to ship. It comes from China so it takes a while to ship but those who have had it said it is very slim and works great with the phone. Definitely not the case to look for if you are looking for protection but I am just looking for something that wont scratch the bottom and protect the camera and screen a little.

I agree. If you find one please let me know.
This is the case I bought, hopefully it's good. There's not enough reviews about cases yet, so I'm nervous when making decisions on which accessories to get for the S3.
Elsse Case
Otterbox Commuter here. This thing is so slick and slippery I am going to need to put some duct tape or something on it for grip! The store only had plain ole black so maybe I'll just get a Defender online since I know they're grippier.
i ordered the incipio silicrylic case after reading alot of good reviews. just waiting for it to come in.

I bought the Diztronic case. It's decent and it comes with a screen protector which was easy to put on.

it is a great case, just a little thick for me. i'm still on the hunt for a decent hybrid that doesn't add too much bulk. looking to try out the pop case by case mate and go from there. i might end up with a high end TPU, either from incipio or speck. the price difference between those two is very large though (almost 20 bucks ).
I was not using a case and you can tell from the pics I've attached I'm regretting it... I do have insurance, so getting a replacement. In addition, I'm going to try the Case Mate Pop.
As I'm sure someone will ask, the screen shattered by landing perfectly flat (screen first) on tile from a ~3 foot fall. The phone without a case is so thin & slick...
I got 3 - went Red, White and Blue!
Couldn't decide which to get, so got 3 !!
I had a Trident Aegis before for my prior phone, the LG g2x (longest year of my life, loved and HATED that phone, it reset ALL the time, even after SW update!) and it does make it bulkier but is GOOD protection, so I got several levels of protection, looks sleekness, after reading everyone else's input, recommendations etc
Got them all on Amazon (along with more goodies!)

This is my review of the Otterbox commuter for the S3

Any feedback is more than welcome
well it looks like it offers pretty good protection but kind of diminishes the beauty of a white S3...

Thanks for the review. Left a comment.
Looks kinda ugly, just going to use it for traveling and such.

I like it, nice review.
Sometimes I just want to use the phone like it was a piece of plastic (without thinking in scratches), so I will get one

I guess this is the case for you then, unless you want the defender so you can throw it down the stairs and laugh
There are other colors of this case that may look better with the white version.
Here is a pic of the white otterbox commuter

Otterbox Top Quality
I've owned three Commuter cases (for Samsung Captivate, Infuse, and Note) and you can't beat them for the protection.
The only issues I have had are how the clips are attached to the plate. Twice I've had them break on me, BUT, Otterbox has been very prompt at sending me a FREE replacement. I also have to say that each time I was leaning in such a way that I was putting pressure on the belt clip, so I can't entirely fault the clip. Since they replaced it (promptly), I have no negative feelings.
Although they are a bit pricey, you can definitely see why they do cost more. I would HIGHLY recommend them. They give your phone top-notch protection. :good:
I bought the case today and compared to the case mate tough this provides much more protection however it does the phone slippery due to the hardcover having minimal grip. The biggest gripe I have with this case is the power and volume rockers are really difficult to press and I have contacted otterbox about it and just awaiting reply now.

Anybody using the commuter in a car mount yet ? If so which one, and any chance of a few piccies ?
Also, does the thickness of the case interfere with the NFC at all ?

Yeah I have to agree the white case does look a lot nicer than the black case

I didn't have an issue with the grip of the case but the buttons are a big problem. I did point it out in my review. The trident case is a lot better button wise.
A lot of people have been interested in the differences between the commuter and trident aegis cases so I'm about to film a quick comparison

I'd personally go for the trident if it was the same price as the otterbox

great review, I have been searching for a gal s3 specific otterbox review and haven't found any... until now.
That is an issue re the lovely sleek lithe lines of the s3 being covered and ruined by protection, but as has been said, thats the trade off i guess.
I am having a really hard time deciding between a few cases. Bought the invisible skin full body protector (it's my goto scratch protection despite niggles with it) and that will sit beneath any case I buy. May have to take the rear skin off to fit but will cross that bridge...
Fancied a defender but the built in screen protector bothers me as I am worried about it fading and misting over time, where as the commuter does allow for the separate screen skin which then can be removed and replaced independently if required.
Would really like the defender but it is increasingly looking like the commuter will be the best solution :/
I just picked the Aegis off eBay for $26 shipped. Good case so far.
