I have tried downloading files on the internet with stock browser and chrome, and almost everytime, I'll get "download unsuccessful". What's strange is that if I press retry a couple of times, it'll download successfully. Any idea?
Happens to me as well. Rooted, but stock 4.0.4. I just use Chrome or Dolphin HD browsers, and downloads work on the first try.

Hi I did a search and didn't find anything. So I got my SKORPN cable today and was ready to root and flash a new ROM. However, I can't seem to download any of the ROMs on Goo.im. It will start up, but hangs at less than 1MB.
Will becoming a sponser alleviate this problem? What's going on? I don't have a problem donating to things I use, but I don't want to do so if I still won't be able to download. Maybe it's my connection? I don't have trouble downloading off any other website. I've tried it from 2 different computers.
Try force stopping Goo.im sometimes it miss behaves. If that doesn't work then don't use goo.im to download. Try downloading with the browser and flash it through goo

Thanks. I found a way around it before reading your reply. I installed Goomanager on my phone and downloaded it through there. I'll just move it to the computer through USB afterwards. :good:

why do all that? I am currently downloading a ROM with the Opera Mobile web browser and it's very good for downloading. Sometimes it does fail if you go to another app but I've downloaded most ROMs right on the browser and as long as I keep the browser open and surf while it's downloading..........99% of the time there is success
Update: I flashed the latest ClockWork Recovery Mod ROM (10.0, I think, or whatever is available on their download screen) after backing up the phone. With a clean ROM install, I received the same problems in the browser with one new update:
When I click a link or button in the browser, the phone vibrates once, I get three popups saying 'Shell has been granted SuperUser Access', then the phone vibrates three times and the browser closes.
Please help!
Thanks!
When I go into my Internet browser, a web page will load. When I click on a link or button on the page, though, the phone gives a quick vibrate, sits for about five seconds, vibrates three times, and then shuts down the browser.
I am rnning a Galaxy S3 rooted with a stock ROM (Deodexed_T999UVDLH3). I have cleared cookies and cache. I even loaded a new browser (Dolphin) with the same results.
I thought this was only an issue on my work's Guest Network (http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...ighlight=internet+browser+can+t+click+buttons) but I discovered today that it is a problem everywhere and on every web page.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
Is it possibly a problem with the ROM I have loaded? Should I go with another ROM, and if so, does anyone have any recommendations?
First, I'm a n00b by any stretch of the imagination.
Recently flashed back to Rogers Rooted Stock ROM from liquidsmooth. With liquidsmooth I was able to click on a video (mostly mp4) link in the Browser or Facebook and have the video open in Gallery, no problems. Now, I can't watch the videos. The link will attempt to download the file and the download will inevitably fail. Tried the Firefox and Dolphin browsers, which were able to download successfully, but the downloaded files won't even play.
This seems like it may be a couple of different issues compounded.
What can I do? Is there a way to simply install the Browser that was included in the liquidsmooth build I was using and use it in the stock ROM?
I would get another browser. I use dolphin browser and it gives me those options

OK guys something happened: I flashed stock oos but now I can't download anything from chrome, g+ or inbox(attachments). I can still download from play store or Facebook app for example.
It says "impossible save photo on you phone" and in chrome the download remains in the queue forever.
All the permissions have been ticked. I'm thinking about an hardware failure(hope not)
Edit: tried some different browser but I'm not able to download anything. Tried to switch to LTE instead of wifi but no luck.

Did you wipe internal storage?
ROMs usually don't play nice with data left by other ROMs.
I have an issue that sprouted about a month ago. No matter what ROM I'm running, if I start to download a file (a new ROM zip, for example) it just disappears mid-download. I'll get to maybe 30%, then it's just gone. I have to go back to the link and click download again.
The only way I can sometimes get through a whole download is to change display settings so that my screen stays on throughout the whole download process. If I close my screen or do anything else, like go to another app, the download disappears at some point, every time!
Any suggestions? Phone didn't do this when I first got it or even after I rooted and ran a custom ROM for a while. It just started randomly..
Happened to me too. Was downloading a ROM and it just disappeared twice (once at 99%). Had to download via ADM.
Same here happens a lot to me, happened in community beta and oxygen os.. So using adm now
yep same here too. FreedomOS 1.5.1 (oos 3.2.6)
Same problem for me too. Even while downloading from play store(1GB+ games etc)
Hopefully this is addressed then, because obviously it's not just me.
Is anyone here using chrome as their browser?
I was told to try an alternative. Now downloads are fine. I'm using Pyrope browser. It's great and it's in the play store.
So i had this issue. Last few days nearly all rom downloads from different sources got aborted. I had a homebutton that was a bit wonkey so i decided to wipe all partitions, including internal storage and sideload oos 3.2.7 to see if it would solve that issue.
So i did. And then after reading this thread decided on a little test. I downloaded 4 roms from different sources including from afh and none aborted.
I can't be absolutely sure at this point that the the full wipe did the trick but it sure looks like it. I'll keep a lookout to see if the issue remains solved.
Here the same probmem ... Corruopted file system?
Still happening for me. Is it because of Chrome?
Play store downloads and third party downloaded are fine
It'a a chrome issue.
