I remember having this boot animation on my old EVO 4G that was like a computer booting up. Showing the certain components being checked or started and such. I was wondering if that by any chance anybody has seen anything similar for this phone?

Download Rom toolbox. It is under the boot animation section

Before I rooted my phone I would get multiples of widgets and they would disapear eventually but was getting terrible just before I rooted so much so I wanted to toss the phone. I haven't had this problem recently but I was just wondering if I have a golden issue or someone else has seen this rarity.

It happens to me the first boot after doing a mybackup or titanium restore, but on my setup I have about 4 widgets and usually they all turn into the same widget its more weirsd than annoying

well could try remove all widgets and reboot? Might reset configuration.
Well its nice to know I don't have a golden nugget but I mean like multple. Of the same exact widget like a beautiful widget clock at different times it was weird the guy who rooted my phone had never seen it either.....

What about reflashing your rom? I wonder if maybe there was some file corruption during the flash?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
This was on stock ec05 no root actually.
So idk thought it was some internal system error like it failed to remember the widget and replaced it with another one and repeated.

Even after full wipe? That is very strange...screenshot?

It will download from the market just fine...just not through the browsers....stock and chrome

i even tried flashing another rom and its still doing the same thing
This happened to me on and off with both Chrome and stock browsers throughout tthe period of time I was using AOKP roms (not to say they were the cause - I never used others long enough to notice and my current MIUI just handles it totally differently). I used Crystal Downloader from the store. There are other apps but I stuck with this one. The dev is very responsive. I know it sorta blows to have to get an app for something that should always work, but on the bright side it does perform the downloads much faster ^_^

thanks for your reply...tried that and it worked...
but i did end up just restoring back to stock, relocking the bootloader and starting over
Does it not work with the S3? every feature I try does not work, and when I used the font changer it soft bricked my phone lol. I was able to fix it though.

It works perfectly fine when I use it you just have to make sure you have a kernel that supports boot animations if you wanna change that

Works fine for me. Rom toolbox is my goto tool. Use it a lot.

Guess ill have to google and see what kernels work with it.

Is there any way to find out if my kernel is supported? I'll check all over Google and on here and was a unable to find anything.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
What kernel are you using?
You must be on the stock kernel. Won't work on that
Im on stock. 3.0.8-925100
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Flash another kernel. Doesn't really matter which. Just choose it from the Original Android Development section.
Alright I never done it before but ill give it a try tonight or tomorrow.

What would be a good one to install? Im looking to do tweaks that ROM Toolbox lets you do. Custom Boot, change WiFi logo, change Battery logo, fonts and so on? I definitely know not to use the one I'm on now because when I installed a font pack using ROM toolbox I soft bricked my phone and was stuck on the Samsung logo. So I'm basically looking for one where I can use every single feature in ROM toolbox since I now have the paid version and am unable to use it. Thanks again for all the help.

So i downloaded and installed the SynergyROM and my Wi-Fi was not working. i could not turn it on at all. I read through out the thread and people had similar problems they said flash a stock kernel which i did and i still could not get it to work. Anyone have any suggestions??
Try another kernel. Worked for me

Which one should I try?
When I tried that rom flashing faux's kernel fixed the wifi issue
Sent from Flip's S3
I flashed KTweaker which fixed it, then while I was using it setting my apps up, my phone just died. It rebooted and got stuck on the boot animation I tried everything but I just went back to my ROM I was using before.

Any other kernel besides the one included in the installer

So as of yesterday whenever I turn the screen on my phone on it will flash blue and then work like normal, occasionally a bit of grainy lines follow the blue but then everything works fine after that. I'm worried that something is starting to go bad on my phone. It's weird because it only does it whenever the screen turns on. I thought this might be a room issue but I switched from pa to task and tried multiple kernels and still no luck. It even does this upon boot so I'm thinking it must be hardware related? Any help would be appreciated

Occasionally this blue flash will not occur as well, but it's random as to whether it does or not

Have you tried going back to unrooted stock?
Just tried that now, was doing it at first but now seems to be better, could just be one of those times where it doesn't for a while and starts again though

It's doing it again:/ any ideas?
