So as of yesterday whenever I turn the screen on my phone on it will flash blue and then work like normal, occasionally a bit of grainy lines follow the blue but then everything works fine after that. I'm worried that something is starting to go bad on my phone. It's weird because it only does it whenever the screen turns on. I thought this might be a room issue but I switched from pa to task and tried multiple kernels and still no luck. It even does this upon boot so I'm thinking it must be hardware related? Any help would be appreciated

Occasionally this blue flash will not occur as well, but it's random as to whether it does or not

Have you tried going back to unrooted stock?
Just tried that now, was doing it at first but now seems to be better, could just be one of those times where it doesn't for a while and starts again though

It's doing it again:/ any ideas?

So I just bought my Note 2 from ATT and when I got home I noticed that the capacitive buttons work but don't light up no matter what I try. I went to settings switched it to always on. And even reset the entire phone in the stock recovery. Any suggestions as to what I should do?

Not 100% sure but if they never worked even on stock it seems like a hardware problem
Go into Settings>Display>Touch key light duration > adjust to what you want.

I had the exact same problem after the December multi window update, was completely stock and not rooted. Rooted it and installed the CleanRom AT&T SE ROM and haven't had the issue since.

Come to think of it, I first thing I did was update the phone out of the box to the multi Window update.

My phone went to a green recovery screen. My recovery is TWRP, this was not. Phone was not in use, nearly a full charge. I saw it flash a green screen out out of corner of my eye. I couldn't capture it, but it looked like a basic recovery screen with volume up and down instructions. Again, phone was idle and screen off. I did a power vol dwn and rebooted fine. Has anyone seen this?

It sounds like the" Demigod screen, kernel crash. It's been haunting us since day 1. Just an LG issue.
Here's alittle bit about it.

I have a rooted unlocked tmo galaxy s3, currently running infamous 4.5. Haven't had any problems with it until today, twice now it's frozen upon rotation. Anyone else having this problem? Either with or without this rom, thanks in advance...

Update, happened again, seems to be happening when screen rotates, and them times out while in landscape...

Turn off screen rotation lol problem solved

Need more info; it could be a kernel issue, an app issue, or a user error on the way you installed the rom...
Followed Jamison's instructions to the letter, full wipe, 3x for everything, with the kernel in his rom, I did turn off screen rotation for now, no problems since. Doesn't matter what app is running at the time, home screen, gmail, and messenger are what froze. It's didn't do it on 4.4, just on 4.5. Anything else that might ad helpful, let of know.

The only other option I would suggest is redownload and rewipe everything and don't restore stuff.
I'm using the same ROM and tried rotate with many different apps and experienced no lock ups. I too suggest you reflash again with full wipe

I'll try that later on, and like I said, only freezes if it times out while rotated to one of the sides

Oh ok didn't catch that, but I just tried it and let the screen time out with a few apps open while in landscape and nothing happened

Full wipe, reinstalled, no problems so far, but we'll see...

Think I figured it out, I'm using the aosp lock screen and somehow the ripple effect got turned back on, was still freezing after wipe, let's see if this works. Lol. Tested it a few times and no freezes yet.

Yeah that was it, having ripple enabled with aosp lock screen gives problems

Does this seem to happen when you are in a low signal area? What apps does this happen with? Are you on a custom ROM, rooted or completely stock.
I am running custom rom cm-10-20121108-EXPERIMENTAL-d710-beta2, no particular app, seems to happen with all of them.

I have seen something like that on CM builds as well. What helped me was... A dirty flash possibly a full restore.

Updated to CM10.1 Wild in the Night 9 April 2013 build, have not noticed the problem since the update was installed at 1300hrs today. Hopefully the problem is corrected with updating to new ROM.

Was hoping it was fixed but it's doing it right now as I try to type this out, started when I was texting and is continuing to do it in this app. Acting as if someone keeps hitting the back button

Next time it happens, check your signal bars and see if it is doing it in low signal areas.

Check your port for a bent pin.
