This is really bugging me. I watch a lot of video commuting to work and it sucks to have the buttons stay lit up while I´m watching video in full screen. Is there a way to disable this during playback?

2.2 brings the wonderful bbc iplayer something I use all the time. However I'm really disappointed with the quality, all the videos suffer from a really strong green tint, and noticeable blur, the same videos watched on an old iphone are far better in colour and detail when held at a normal viewing distance.
There also seems to be an issue with the videos failing to stop and playing in the background with no way to stop them.
Just tried it
I just tried it, too and I didn't see any odd colors. I just played about 2-3 minutes of "The Deep" which was the first video on the main page. The quality was okay for my 2Mb connection here, with only a tiny bit of stuttering at first. I think BBC adjusts your stream bitrate according to your connection. Try a different video, or a different connection to the internet.
The video does keep playing in the background if you press the back button. I think I pressed it three times before I heard the audio stop and I was looking at the main iPlayer page. I think this is on purpose, so you can browse other content or program listings without interrupting the video in progress. It's a little awkward to figure out, mostly because there is no keyboard or mouse. You just have to hit different buttons and see what happens.
My test was a side by side comparison - playing the same videos at the same time. The video on the old iphone is superior.
The video failing to stop was definitely a bug - I was at the iplayer page and could not select any other links and the browser was unresponsive with the audio still playing.
Is it possible to have the defy recording videos while the screen is off? I would like to document longer hikes and such and the screen is the biggest energy-consumer while doing so.
There are apps which can turn the screen black but i havent found any which let you disable the screen completely.
Whats the matter? Can it be hacked ?
Also is itpossible to record the sound through a headset-microphone while recording videos?
I would prefer using a dedicated mic as wind-noise is pretty strong while riding a bike and i think a headset-mic could work way better.
Is there a way to disable/lock the touch screen during YouTube playback? I would like to watch a video without interrupting it by inadvertently touching the screen or buttons. I don't think the phone or YouTube app have a way to do it, but possibly an App.
I can't screenshot whilst watching video and when screenshotting, the screen turns black.
Is there any solution to this problem?
When I take video on the OP3, how can I get it to play back so its oriented correctly (sideways) on a TV/monitor. The attached screenshots show how the videos plays. Instead of the video playing back oriented vertically, how can I get it to playback horizontally? Is this a setting I can set on the OP3? Or do I have to edit/rotate all videos so they play horizontally? Basically, I would like the video to take up the whole screen instead of having the black side bars.
idk what is going on here. is the video playing as it should on your phone? its playing fine on my tv/pc

Yes, on the phone it plays fine and takes up the whole screen but on TV or monitor I get the sidebars.
