Morphie 4000 mAh charging pack - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Just grabbed one of these at the Verizon store when I picked up my extended battery. Just a heads up, and I don't think it really matters at all but just saying, the box says it's for tablets, smartphones and other usb devices. It makes NO mention of the Iphone or ipad on the box whatsoever, but in the manual they make it clear that it was designed for apple products only. Seems pretty shady to say it's for all tablets, smartphones and usb devices on the box but then claim it's only meant for iproducts in the legal and warranty section of the manual. Can anyone think of any reason why this might be a bad thing to use with our phone? It says it charges at 2.1 Amps, but our phones will limit the charge rate if needed right?

I just want to see the charging case, for $49 that sounds hawt. Probably bulky, but I wonder how much additional power it'll provide...
$30 for a pouch? That seems like a lot for something that HTC used to just throw in with their older phones.
I wonder what the car kit consists of. For $60 I hope there will be several mounting options.

$30 for an HDMI? Wow.
Fwiw my local sprint store says they will be selling evo accessories starting June 3rd.

New batteries, NFC not working.

Hello, I have bought a new genuine battery (at least for the seller) for my Galaxy Nexus from eBay. I thought it was not original because I tried to use NFC with it and it was not working. So I got another one from amazon:

And the result was the same. Any thoughts?

After contacting amazon and samsung I got bored and I removed a part of the plastic wrap of both batteries. There's a simple reason behind the problem. There's no NFC antenna in the new one, and it was being sold as an original one!

This is a battery with nfc antenna, mine was only grey metal, no orange circuit!
Your batteries are indeed fake, please give negative feedback to the sellers if possible. You may also try to get your money back, might be possible.

YSK: The Nexus 5 sits nicely in an old Droid 1 stand

I'll probably get a Qi charger eventually, but this works well in the meantime. It doesn't detect the stand as a stand, sadly, but it's still a handy spot to put it. Crappy pics taken with my Droid 1.

Wow, well, thats an idea! I've got one flying around from my old Milestone 2, it even has the removable inlay to use it with cases, so it should have space enough for using it with my Nexus 5 with a case on.
As soon as I'm home, I'll try it out, let's see, probably going to re-life this old thing

Durovis Dive Virtual Reality Headset - So Cheap!

Hey guys, I was looking into getting myself an Oculus Rift but figured the wait is just too long since it seems the final product wouldn't be available till 2015. So in my search I came across this http://www.durovis.com/index.html/
According to this you can place your phone as the actual screen and a good VR experience coupled with their Apps on the play store. And best of all its about 50euros with international shipping and for those who maybe interested its not that hard to DIY. If anyone has tried please share your experience as there aren't that many reviews on it. I might get it soon
I love the fact that all the important components are already built into the phone such as the gyroscope and the display itself. Let me know what you guys think.

Will this charger cause any harm to google pixel 2 xl?

I've tested it and it charges pixel 2 xl very fast, as if it were the original charger. However I'm not too much into electronics so I have no ideia if this charger could damage my device on the long term use.

Cross reference it with this. No longer maintained, but many chargers / cables are on there.

Here is a list of certified Power Delivery devices.
http://www.usb.org/kcompliance/view/CertifiedUSBPowerBricks.pdf
this is not even USB C- PD standard. don't know how good it will be.
The way I understand it, the charger has its capabilities but the phone will not go over and above what it can accept in the way of power and amperage. Were it not the case, phones would consistently be catching fire due to chargers that have stronger capabilities than what the phone could accept.
As I said this is the way I understand it and I'm not an electronics expert either, just someone who's read an article or two. Hopefully somebody out there can weigh in with a more concrete answer.
Cheers.
