Titanium Backup

How do i get titanim backup to work?
I already have perm root and granted it permissions, but it doesn't load any of the apps on the phone. I was gonna use it toget rid of the bloadtware on my bell desire z.
I just switched from a galaxy s so i'm still learning the ropes of htc's implementation.

U remove the apps? Did it stay after reboot?
Sent from HTC Desire Z using XDA App
nope, they are long gone. i used titanium to remove bloatware from my sgs before i switched to the desire. it's also really useful when flashing a full firmware coz you can back up and restore apps + app data in batches.

Titanium was fixed the other week to allow removal of system apps on the Desire Z and HD (before we had S-Off).
@jark99: yup. Just be sure to know exactly what you want to remove, and be careful not to remove important sys apps. One rule: if you're not sure the app should be removed or not, don't remove it.

thanks going to try that now.
I'm having this problem now, how do I work around this?
if you already have root, download the latest busybox from the market. that's what fixed it for me.

Disable bloatware.

Most of us want to remove bloatware, so we root our devices. But for those who don't want to root just yet (like me), you can disable unwanted apps. It's would still be there but frozen or inactive. Best of all you won't receive updates notifications for it.
Here are the steps...
1. Go to settings - apps
2. Select the all apps tab
3. Click on the specific app.
4. If it's an updated system app click unintelligible updates. If not click disable.
Hope this helps someone. B-)

Sky Go

Hi All
This is my first post so play nice
I've already downloaded the test 0.1.5 app for my HTC One X and for the life of me I can't get it to work. It worked fine on my old XE on ICS but can't get it to work on the OneX.
It will load fine up until I try and watch a video and it just stays at 0% load then just restarts the app. Is there a way around this to either fix it or am I being a complete noob and missed something in the posts. I did look in the other posts but couldn't find anything to help me.
Any help would be great

Check there, there are a bunch of modified apks on various pages. I haven't been able to get it working on mine so far.
You will need to hide root using voodoo root keeper. Only way I could get it to work on my galaxy s2 when I had it.

Yeah found it after, doesn't work with stock ROM. It won't stream. Logs on though
Ah ok then. My Manager at work told to enter wrong password, turn phone off and on then do right password and it works. But don't know if anyone else has tried it. He is on a Xperia S and got it to work with the test app.
Well, guess all I got to do now is sit back and just waif for Sky to sort themselves out, going to miss the f1 tho.

Best Rooted Apps?

Hello Everyone!
I just reciently rooted my HTC One V and have gotten some decent hacking apps [ Faceniff, DSploit ]. These work and dont work from time to time. If anyone can suggest some other great hacking apps, or just apps that are good ( Which require root ) please reply or post a link below!
Thanks,

To add to the rooted Apps, I suggest installing "Fast Rebooter". It clears all app data, cashe, and UI to make the phone work at a higher speed.

Just beware that on Cyanogenmod for our phone, network tweaks kills reception and WiFi. Only reception will be seen.
I recommend Rebooter, Solid Explorer, and Titanium Backup.

My best apps would include...
Here are my best 3:
1. AirDroid - allows remote control of your phone from a web browser
2. Fing - General network tool include ping, traceroute, network scan etc... very nice indeed
3. Wi-Fi analyser - shows wireless signal strength and channel use for all nearby wireless network
Enjoy!
just check the link in my signature
I'm using RhythmicRom along with rom tool box and I'm having issues with the boot animation I select through the toolbox. Basically, lol, it will update, but no bit anim will play... any input?

Try this:
Private Place Secret SMS MMS and Calls which is just superior for root phones: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fahrbot.apps.security.firewall
RAM manager Pro
very nice with one V's not so good RAM

Can't keep bloat were removed?

I just went through the process of unlocking the bootloader and getting my M8 rooted. First thing I went to do was use titanium backup to get rid of all the apps I hate so much. Apps like, T-Mobile my account, name id, and TV. Other apps that seem to be stock with the M8 itself that I don't want as well, like: kid mode, parent dashboard, Twitter, Polaris, etc. I go through select them all and it seems to remove them no problem. After using my phone for the rest of the day I had to reboot my phone for some reason, when it powered back on all the apps repopulated! Any else have this issue or know why this has happen? I know it's not a major issue but I hate seeing apps on my device that I don't want or use. Thanks in advance!
