I had great success using my Nexus S WIFI hotspot with my KF. Navigation was spot on from the tablet using this setup. I tested it from my car and worked great.

Saw GPS tether in the app store, didn't get a chance to look at it though. Maybe that is what you are looking for?

Microsoft 500 BT Mouse wont work?

I got this mouse: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Microsoft+-+Bluetooth+Laptop+Mouse+5000/8512308.p?id=1186005934479&skuId=8512308&st=bluetooth%20mouse&cp=1&lp=3
Worked perfectly on my Xoom, but it isnt being detected by my GT, anyone have any luck or suggestions?
what?!?
I just ordered mine last night:O
please tell me if you can get this to work. I saw a thread on here, and someone said it worked for their tablet.
I think its an issue with the GT. I also have a bluetooth mouse that will not work. Based on the Bluetooth settings, the GT seems to think its a keyboard. Hopefully a workaround is discoverd. It would make using my keyboard dock even sweeter than it already is
my co-worker has a dell wireless bt mouse and it syncs fine with my GT even when its on the keyboard dock =\
So im guessing you have not gotten this to work?
I have that same mouse and it works fine for me..
it did not work with 3.0 but it works perfectly with 3.1

[Q] How to activate Bluetooth on Kindle Fire with CM9

I have been all over xda looking for a way to get Bluetooth working on the Kindle Fire so that I can use PDAnet to tether it to my phone. Last I've heard is that the Fire contains the BT chip and it might or might not be wired correctly. Any help would be truly appreciated!

I dont think any roms manage to the bluetooth working. Why dont you need a bluetooth anyway? Kindle has wireless, turn your phone into a wireless hotspot and you will be fine.
Is there a way to do that for free?

I don't get you why do you need to pay for wireless hotspots from your own phone

If you look around you'll find some threads with more recent information (some posted by me if you want to search from my posts). In a nutshell, the early reviewers were probably wrong, the chip in the wireless module is a TI WL1270B though it was incorrectly and repeatedly referenced to as a TI WL1271. The only information I could find says that the WL1270B chip, like the WL1270, is 802.11 b/g/n only.

Check around. Android phones usually need root. Wireless tether for root users works well.

I have mine running Energy™ICS CM9 Kang ROM Themed and OnLive gaming system works great on it. The problem is I need an input device to play about half of my games and OnLive has an amazing bluetooth controller. I have checked all over online and it seems that we need a Kernel that would support BT. Any chance people have a work around to get the OnLive system to activate the controller?
You dont need bluetooth

Wrong forum. You are asking about the 2nd gen kindle fire, right? There's its own forum for it, so check it out.

As far as I know the Kindle Fire deosn not have bluetooth. Some claim that it might be possible to enable it since the acutal device has a chip that is not used. However noone has managed or tried to enable bluetooth yet.
Okay. And what is this with the otg cables and things? Is this possible? Using Bluetooth with those otg?

There are a few videos on youtube of people getting bluetooth dongles to work with an OTG cable...
I've read some things as too you can get certain dongles to work with certain roms. And other kinds of mixed information...
There needs to be a thread posted and stickied about a 100% method to get this working. As this question is constantly brought up, and frankly never answered correctly.

USB modem

Hi I have wifi only if I want to use on the move or where this is no wifi which USB 3g modem is recommended? Also I will need a USB to mini USB lead ?
Many thanks for your help.

If you have a Xoom, and don't have a mobile capable of wifi-hotspot or bluetooth tethering, you're not doing it right.
If you are stock/unrooted you cannot use a USB modem (3G or 4G) with your WiFi only Xoom. The easiest thing to do would be to get a 3G/4G hotspot so you can connect over WiFi anywhere you go. Obviously this costs more than just a USB modem, but it also has more flexibility. If I really wanted this functionality this is the route I would go.
If you are set on trying to get a USB modem working, you are going to have to root your Xoom and install one of the Developer ROMS. I have used the Team EOS (Tiamat in the beginning) roms and with an older Honeycomb ROM some time ago I was successful in getting this to partially work. It is still pretty clunky as you have to build or buy an OTG cable to plug the USB modem into and then run some scripts in a shell window to load the driver and route the IP traffic. So yes it can be done, but it was difficult and just not very user friendly.
Here are some links to look into. Since this is all using pretty old ROMs I would not expect much support from the developers. I have not tried it on their latest JB roms, so who knows.
