Hi Guys,
Just had the SD partition on my Nexus wiped, don't really know how it's happened - But I KNOW it wasn't my fault.
It's happened twice to me now in the lat couple of months.
I was about to test some SNES ROMs & boom - the partition was empty. The previous time it happened while I was asleep.
Has anyone had this happen to them?
I'm running Franco's Kernel & CM9 btw
Cheers,
Minooch

Technically I didn't play with fsync - I'm always testing new kernels for Franco & I use the settings he wants to test - so in this case it was disabled by default
Talk with Francisco then

In my experience overclocking through rogue tools is best. I usually just choose overclock gpu only and then use rogue tools for the overclock and it lets me set my DPI even.
Aceoyame is right....

Follow aceoyame's advice! just figured out that when i oced a kernel with a tools I made scoots cyanogen rls4c build soo unstable that couldnt even unlock the screen without a freeze, then I used rogue tools and oced to 520 without a problem!!

Rogue tools...
If you cant find it try downloading (from the market also!) MarketEnabler, run it and on settings list tab keep pressed one of the providers found there untill a fake this provider messages pops up... click on it and voila!
Guys one question. When i overclock my kaiser with rogue tools then when i turn my screen off i cant turn it up without restart.
You pushed your kaiser too far perhaps? How high did you set it.
fast boot?
What i did was set the kernel to boot with 550 OC, then revert back on boot with rogue tool 400 to save on battery. All is fast in stock mode anyways, and far saves on battery on my Myn Donut build.
Thats your problem, kernel overclocks are unstable as all hell, especially 550. Leave it at 400 and you won't see an issue. I cannot figure out why you would oc to 550 through kernel on boot and then run an app to force it back to 400, makes more sense to leave it alone.
Strange, but for me when i OC my device, the battery drains so much more fast then when i do this using Rogue Tools

Far from all members will agree with that. More like a random # generator well suited for bragging.
Tweaking for high Q score don't necessarily go in parallel with smooth UI/lowbatt and usability.

I can get ~1800 points with miui, and i can say that this is still much faster than many samsung roms.
Quadrant score doesn't mean ANYTHING.
Alright guys try before you hate! It'll slowly get better!
Hi Guys,
Just a few questions..
1. What ROM can you recommend to install? Currently on Galaxy Nexus GSM 4.0.2
ICL53F.I9250XWLK2
2. Same thing as ROM..
3. What are the other things that I need to customize my Nexus?
TIA
I use 4.0.4 stock rom with popcorn kernel, here are my benchmark with this combination

3.0.8-gaaa2611. that's my kernel version. I haven't install Kernel updates here. What do you mean by stock camera? <pardon for the noob question> My phone is already rooted/unlocked.
What were your instructions for rooting? (Assuming you weren't rooted before you posted this)
Your root method may have wiped everything

No, i'm using gallimaufry. I'm surprised too, I didn't expect such a high score
Check my sig to make sure you're installing the roms correctly.
Post two will detail it.
A "stock" camera is the camera that comes pre-installed. Not one from the play store.
I'm on AOKP, and can confirm no such issue.
I think my camera started malfunctioning <didn't save images/videos> when I wipe data due to I forgot my screen lock pattern <yes, I forgot! WTH>. Then, I flash AOKP b29 to see if it will solved my dilemma but it didn't. Last resort was, flash original stock ROM from Google website. Now, I am back to stock ROM.
@Jubakuba: I follow your procedure before, but when I tried to re-install Titanium Backup <free> to restore apps, it didn't succeed and prompts error which is something like code:32.
Hi guys,
Toady I decidaded to make a backup of my current rom (Bagux 1.4) and flash Bionic Cow ROM V7.
After flashed this rom I faced a huge battery drain, soo I decided to flash stock kernel (XXLM8), and I was supriesed when I saw Antutu score.

Vsync is enabled from the kernel itself. Flashing stock XXLM8 only will not get Vsync to work.
Yes i know, but is there any way to aply v-sync to this kernel (XXLM8)?
XXLM8 have better performance than cow kernel and better batery, and I really like it, but I don't like screen flickering.
Sry for bad english.
Hi,I'm using same firmware and kernel as you. My way of fix the graphic flicking is open root explorer, make sure system and data is set to r/w. Don't exit, just minimize it. Open cow panel, select to enable v sync. Then just reboot. Works for me.

Well that is not doing vsync. It is only enabling triple buffering.

User update report:
Battery life: An issue right here. 1-3 percent drops every hour, even when downclocked to 1.7ghz, smartmax_eps, and aggressive multicore power-saving configurations. Not sure if it could be further improved on kernel side or that's just the pure downside of having DT2W.
Another thing: Sometimes when the phone goes into deepsleep, double tap requires more than 2 times taps to wake it up, mostly 4. Stuxnet Reborn seems to have fixed this problem, however, Stuxnet Reborn will get the phone activated when you swipes on the phone screen which brings me back to this kernel.
