I'm thinking I want to pick an extra one up, the damn thing is so small. Does Nokia sell them?
Wouldn't iPhone's SIM tray key work as well? You can pick those up for pennies.
A slightly straightened small paper clip works great too.
You can get genuine Nokia ones - the part number is 9906582.

GelaSkins are now available for the One X! I'm going through all the artwork now, it's so hard to choose :silly:
It seems like too much work just for a skin that will eventually peal and look aged lol.

Gelaskins don't have anything to do with those crappy fakes ones that you by from ebay.
I had one in my previous iPhone that that still looks like new after more than 2 years.
Gelaskins are expensive but they worth the money they cost. A really good option for my HTC One X.
Agree, have used few devices with GelaSkins. It is very resilient, worth the money IMO.
I'll give the One X a miss, as I like the look of the phone, and I have photo slide shows as wallpaper so a skin will look out of place.
Don't waste your money. I just got mine, they don't line up with the pogo pins/camera/3.5mm jack/simcard tray.
After working it a bit, I made it fit ok (but not perfect), and the pogo pins are completely covered...

Which version of the One X do you have? Is it the version with LTE (Snapdragon S4) or the Tegra 3 (3G only) version?
I have the tegra 3 version, the skin covers half the sim tray and none of the pogo pins go through the holes that were meant for the pins. There are 5 cutout holes for them but it just shows the back of the phone through. Also, the skin covers almost half of the audio jack.

Ouch! Thanks for the heads up. I am planning on getting the One XL on Telstra in Australia (LTE version) and I knew the pogo pins were in a different location. By what you have said, the Gelaskin might have been made for the LTE version (AT&T One X, Rogers One X, Telstra One XL) and the pin holes would be closer to the bottom of the device (see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631225). Would you say that is a fair assessment?
I'm surprised I didn't see this question already when I searched. Maybe I am blind.
I want to get a One X (or maybe a One X+ depending on price and release date), I have been dragging my feet because I swap phones often (I have a really old Nokia GAIT phone that pop my current SIM into so I can I take that phone with me out on my JetSki so I won't ruin a good phone and I keep my teeny Aria in my bag for when my Inspire battery dies).
I have seen adaptors for sale online and I've seen videos how to make adaptors, but I have seen mixed reviews on them. Does anyone here have personal experience?
Thank you.
The two SIMs are the same thickness but the adaptor has to increase that, so you get mixed results depending on how the SIM fits into the phone and how much space there is.
I tried several before finding one that worked in my phone.
Like the poster above me said, it depends on the adapter and phone. I bought a cheap one from a local shop for a couple of dollars, looks very similar to those found on eBay, it has a very thin plastic layer where the micro SIM fits, so doesn’t add much thickness. Has worked fine with the few devices I tested so far (2 phones and a USB mobile broadband modem). With one of the phones it was a very tight fit, but managed to push it in and take it out. but be careful not to put too mush pressure, otherwise you might not be able to get it out.
When you cut your regular sim down to a micro sim, save the pieces and just tape it back to together. Worked fine for me. Make sure you use a strong tape though, otherwise you'll have pieces of sim card stuck in your slot.
Go to Vodafone (or your local carrier's store) when I went back to regular SIM, all I had to do was ask, and they gave me a free adapter. Worth asking
Otherwise, I think they go for 50 cents or maybe 1 euro at your local electronics store.

That's exactly the kind of concerns I have. Can either of you recommend what worked for you?
Thanks!

Presumably a new phone would come with the proper SIM so I wouldn't have to cut mine (I have a small stack of old ones from every new phone purchase). But even if I did have to cut my own, I'd rather try to avoid the tape idea because of that exact reason.

Hmm. I hadn't even thought of asking my AT&T store about that. The girl I usually talk to there is awesome so if there is a way to get one from them, she would know. Thanks for the idea!

I just wandered into a local phone accessory store and told them I'd buy one if it worked, she wasn't pleased but by about the third one we got one that fitted.
My microsim came as a pop out from a normal size sim and can just be placed back to work as full size sim
Can anyone recommend a flip case in which i can also put in credit cards and money (notes) aswell ?

I have two cases: an EasyAcc (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CALPJOY/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and an Evecase (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BQN4UII/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I think I prefer the EasyAcc-- it really does feel nice in the hand, doesn't add too much heft, and closes rather cleverly. It's also an excellent stand. However, while it's easy to snap the phone in and out of, that comes at the cost of capacity. It'll take one card, and if you push the card too far back in, it won't close well (although it's still a good case).
The Evecase is more like your standard "wallet," with three card slots and a pocket in the back for cash. Since the closing mechanism is a full clasp, it'll take whatever you stuff in within reason. I personally can't stand button clasps (they flap around), but it might fit your needs.
I would be wary of credit card cases.. I've seen a couple in person and they have ended up leaving marks on the screen after awhile.
Anyone know here to order a pin that would fit the N5? I sold my N4 and gave them the pin from my N5. I ordered some from Amazon that were for an iPhone thinking it would be the same size but it is to big. I didn't see any on there for Android devices.....
You're not a seamstress i take it, but any needle will do the trick.
i just used a paperclip
A small paperclip, a staple, the end of a small safety pen, a piece of .7 pencil led.
All of those will work
A staple or a small paper clip works for me....so no worries...you can also try...

he sold his n5 pin with n4 :silly:
some of the holes are pretty small. i tried paper clips and even a number 60 drill bit on my brothers one x and they were all too big. the needle just felt wrong as i don't know what i'm poking at and it can be hard to put good pressure... the solution.. a guitar string!!!
Try using a bigger or heavier gauage sewing needle, but be careful as you need to push a bit hard for the micro-Sim holder to pop out or get released - or risk scratching the case's coating (especially for the black ones)

You could try contacting LG. They may be of little help however... Next best option would be to search ebay for "sim ejector tool". It's not the round plastic thing LG includes, but it will poke your SIM hole the way LG intended and it's cheap. You can buy 50 of them for 4 bucks. That leaves you with 1 for SIM ejectin' and 49 for throwing at your enemies.
I had so much trouble opening the sim tray with that stupid pin it just bent on me.a snap on pick tool did the job for me.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Thanks.

Are...are you a wizard? I searched everywhere and could only find the steel ones. Also, holy crap that's an expensive piece of plastic.
Does anyone know where I can buy a dual SIM tray that actually fits as good as the original one? I bought one off of Sunsky-online but it won't fit in all the way, it stands out of the case by half a millimeter or so. Don't really get why that is, in terms of size it looks completely identical to the original one.
The plastic cover is a little bit longer. I file a little the part with a nile file (The two ends trying to respect the curvature) and now it fit perfectly.
Will be 0.1 mm not more.....
@dgardel what a pleasant surprise, it was indeed actually quite easy once I knew what I had to do, thanks for the hint!
I just got mine from Sunsky and it's absolutely not worth it. Not only do you need to sand down the edges like you guys said but the rubber that supposed to be on the inside to provide some water resistance is actually just 3D printed and painted plastic. Honestly anyone who wants dual sim try finding another source because these scammers are going to get your phone wrecked.
