[ROM][4.0.4]SGT7 Builds for the Xoom (Wingray | Stringray) - Xoom Android Development

SGT7 is the custom ROM by the guys who brought ICS/CM9 to the OG Galaxy Tab
Initially it supported only the first tab, but now we've decided to support other tablets as well, so here it is!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*
*/
It's based on CyanogenMod 9, and will continue being to be so.
In short, it's a heavily modded CyanogenMod for tablets, fully opensource

wingray = Wifi-only tab, stingray = LTE tab
Also available via Goo Manager
Installation and bugs are also same as CyanogenMod 9
So, download the zip, transfer it to the sd, reboot into Recovery and do a backup (always preferred, but optional), then install the zip.
Install GApps afterwards if you aren't coming from a CM9 / CM9 based ROM
Also read the CM9 thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645651 (has some useful info)
Since neither of us has the device personally, the builds are untested, and we rely on you, the users, to help us.
Report anything wrong with the ROM, and what you'ld like to see in it.
Report issues here : http://code.google.com/p/sgt7/issues/list
(Do not report device-specific issues, i.e. stuff not working on CM9, report only stuff that you saw as a setting and didn't work as expected)
Lastly, thanks to the CyanogenMod team, for all their work, and thanks to the guys who ported ics to this tab.
It's just meant to be an addition of tablet specific tweaks to CM, and we might look forward to merging this functionality into CM later on, but for now, have fun with this.

Pretty sure it's the same error as a few other tablets, get me a logcat if you can, just to be sure, but i'll try fixing it anyways, and release a new clean build later today (morning here)
EDIT: rebuilt and reuploaded, and hopefully the issue should be solved

Is there going to be a verzion for everest 3g euro?

Thanks cdesai, flashed the newer version and its installed ok - feels quite solid, will play and let you know if i find any problems - hopefully CM9 will work with speaker dock audio soon.

05/28 installed great.
Was poking around the power widget and can't use the flashlite.... bit of a problem for me, but not one telsa LED can't fix.
Just more of an inconvenience than anything else.

New build up, at http://sgt7.tk

I've used the official CM9 builds for the xoom before, but even after a week of trying to get used to it on my xoom, I ended up going back to the EOS Nightlies. So I wasn't sure if this rom was much different than the official cm9. Nonetheless I wanted to try the rom, and boy I had nothing to doubt! This rom is amazing! The additions for tablets make the rom much more usable than the official CM9 rom on my xoom, and the original CM9 rom was no slouch in its own right. The swipe gestures are a neat thing too.
If there is only one thing that I would add to make this rom as tablet-awesome as it can be, it would be to add a volume slider in the "expanded settings". That is something included in the EOS rom that makes a huge difference once you get used to it. For example, the xoom's volume keys are not the best in the business; they work, but they are a bit hard to use and can be frustrating at times. In the EOS rom, that is remedied by adding a volume slider to the "standard settings" (as it is called in the rom itself), a slider that works just like the one when that comes up when a physical volume button is pressed, but can be easily accessed w/o. pressing any physical button. I realize that the volume buttons on the xoom are of course not the same as the volume buttons on the samsung galaxy tab. But this is just a humble feature request that could really finish off a good tablet experience.
Anyways, this is an amazing rom. Thank you so much for it. If your goal was to really make this a better, tablet-optimized version of CM9, then Mission Accomplished! I hope you merge the tweaks you guys put into this rom into the official CM9 rom.

If i got you correctly about the volume key thing, you can just press the volume button once, then slide the volume slider with your hand, without pressing the volume buttons.
Or just launch Settings, then tap sound and then volumes, and you get sliders which can be touched, w/o pressing any physical buttons.
And yea, we do plan to merge most if not all of this into CyanogenMod 9 someday.

Oh, I meant instead of trying hard to press those volume keys to begin with (takes some effort with a case on...) while say, watching a youtube video, one could just swipe up on the notifications, and quickly adjust the volume that way. So there is neither a need to press any physical button, nor is there a need to dig through menus that distract...
Let me attach a screenshot.

I may be confused, but what you have in your screen shot is available here. just 2 taps to get to the expanded combined bar which can be configured to have the volume sliders.

Oh... I must have missed that... Oops.. I know there's a button that switches between volume modes, but I didn't see any option for volume sliders. How did you enable volume sliders?

[MOD][CM10] Enable On Screen Nav Soft Keys/Disable Capacitive/Home Buttons

This is a Mod I did for CM10
It will enable the on screen navigation soft keys. it will also disable the capacitive buttons AND the home button.
I used the Framework-res.apk from the CM 10 Preview 6 build.
This will NOT disable the capacitive lights, just the keys themselves. To disable the lights go to settings -> Advanced -> Screen and uncheck "Backlight"
Why did I do this mod?
Well, I really liked the on screen nav buttons on the GNEX. At the time I had the Galaxy S II and enabled them with AOKP but as much as I liked them I hated losing the screen real estate on the 4.3 inch screen. When I got the GS3 I felt the screen was big enough to give up a little screen RE for the nav buttons. I also did it because when I play games or hold my phone in landscape I would accidently hit the capacitive buttons so this mod also eliminated that for me
EDIT: Member NemesisRE Has posted a way to universally do this on CM 10 and other roms! Taking this mod a step further and making it easy on me so I wouldnt have to do the mod every time the CM 10 FW changed:
From NemesisRE's post(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29677762&postcount=98)
Based upon the work of graffixnyc and labbe- I made a Script that searches for the entries and changes them. All other entries (if there are others) are not affected!
Script doesn´t need BusyBox binary so its a very small Package. No Framework-res.apk is added so it should be universal.
Please make a Backup before you try this! And report if working!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NAV_Only: none of the hardware keys are enabled (except Volume and Power)
NAV_HomeWake: Home button wakes device but has no other function
NAV_HomeCamera: Home button opens Camera and takes Pictures but has no other function
NAV_StockKeys: Functions as normal but with on Screen Navbar
NAV_Remove: Removes the mod
Install Instructions:
- Boot into recovery
- flash with CWM
- reboot
This should work on any device with the same keybindings:
Code:
Code:
key 172 HOME
key 158 BACK
key 139 MENU
In the this files:
Code:
Code:
/system/usr/keylayout/sec_touchkey.kl
/system/usr/keylayout/gpio-keys.kl
Code:
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*

wow, finally! i tried to do this in cm9 but got huge errors on recompiling the framework-res on files i didnt even touch. this forced me to use slim ics which was a bummer because it lags so much behind on cm nightlies.. i just HATE the home key :banghead:
also this allows me to remap the home key to camera so it is meta in connectbot which sppeds up using irssi quite a bit ^^

I'll take a look at the 2nd. It flashed fine for me. It could be a bad Upload or DL.
What was the error you got? here I reuploaded it. Try this one http://goo.im/devs/graffixnyc/CM10_NAV_HomeWake.zip
Sorry. I cannot recall the error message. Something about a missing file. I tried the new link/file and it works perfectly. Thanks for your super quick help.

I will update it in a few with the new preview 7 frame work. I'm currently working on doing a couple different variations.
I have the one where all buttons are disabled and where the home button wakes (the other home button functions are still working so I'm trying to figure that out)
another variation I'm working on this second is to remap menu to the home button so the home button acts as the menu key instead. the issue I'm trying to figure out now is when I do this, The long press on the capactive menu button is enabled even when a short press is disabled. Once I figure out these too issues (getting the home button to ONLY wake the device and getting it so a long press of the menu cap button doesnt do anything) I will just update the FW for preview 7 which should only take me a few minutes
Updated DL links for P7
Fixed the Home wake variation.
It now will ONLY wake the device. Link updated in post 2

There is NO WAY this mod could delete your APN's as it doesnt touch anything with the APN's. All it does is set one flag from true to false in the framework-res.apk file which only sets to show the nav to true. The other files it mods are the keylayout files which again have nothing to do with APN's So I would look for another culprit to point the finger at

Well I sneezed today and I noticed a dent in my car - but I hardly think the two are related. Maybe you should provide more information as to what you did and what you're running - because this has absolutely NOTHING to do with your issue.
Well, I didn't believe it at first myself so I reproduced it with fresh install of CM10.
1. Installed mod via recovery
2. APNs gone
However...
3. Wiped cache and delvik-cache
4. APNs are back up
All is good now

I know a few days ago (not sure if it was preview 3 or 4) I had issues with APN's it didnt delete them, but I couldnt add any or edit them. It could be a glitch with CM 10 as it seems like there are a number of issues it has that a cache wipe solves
Thanks for this. It's working great! Now that I've tried it, I don't think I can live without soft keys anymore.

I have the ATT variant of the galaxy s 3 and the zip wouldn't flash. from what I can tell it seems like there was a check for gt-i9300 in the build prop and my phone obviously failed (being an sgh-i747). Thank you for you efforts to improve our phones.
I had the same issue except with the Verizon sch-i535 galaxy s3. I tried editing the script and changing it to the correct model identifiers but that didn't work. Either I did it wrong or there is more to fixing the problem then just that. Thanks for the hard work!

[ROM][JB] Team EOS 3 *JELLYBEAN* Nightlies

Team EOSJB 4.1.2 Crespo4gNIGHTLIES
Continuing on from the success of the EOS ICS roms, we present to you EOS3, based on JELLYBEAN!
It is the goal of Team EOS to develop and maintain the highest performing and most stable AOSP based rom for an array of platforms. For the latest news on Team EOS releases make sure you follow @teameos on twitter and on IRC on Freenode in #teameos.
--
NOTE: Team EOS, it’s members, friends, dogs, cats, and associates are in no way responsible for any loss of data or device functionality. Use this at your own risk!
--
A quick note on Nightlies: NIGHTLIES ARE DEVELOPMENT BUILDS. They are automatically generated every now and then, and represent the compilation of the latest commits to the code repository. While every effort is made ensure that the commits that are accepted are stable and do not have a negative impact to the overall performance and function of the builds it is not possible to test every aspect of a commits impact to the overall repo prior to it’s inclusion in a given build. As a result it is entirely possible that instabilities may be introduced as a result of a given days commits. That is the nature of the nightly system, and the risk that is taken using the latest code changes to the project.
EOS is an AOSP based rom. It is developed and maintained by Team EOS and is the culmination of our own in house development efforts.
Team EOS Nightly builds: http://goo-inside.me/devs/teameos/roms/eos3/nightlies/crespo4g/
G-Apps Package
Because this is an AOSP based rom Google Apps are not included in the base rom. To install Google Apps please flash the following package after installing the base rom:
Gapps package gapps

Features:
Because these are nightly builds the included features are constantly evolving, we do not provide a change log manually. Instead please see the changes on jenkins for your build.

Kernel:
Kernel Note: This rom is currently using the stock kernel, so you can find the sources from aosp.

Installation Notes:
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery.
Perform a full wipe (read Factory Reset) prior to installing this over ANY ICS or JB based rom.
BUGS!
If you find strange or otherwise unexplained errors please report them here: https://bugs.teameos.org/ Please include logcats and as thorough a description of the issue and what lead up to the issue as possible. With out this we will be unable to track down these errors.

hi,
I've just installed this ROM that looks like great! (and I've ported this thread in another italian forum...)
Only a couple of requests, if it's possible... :
Would you like to add the volume rocker wake mod, for the "almost broken power button" users like me, and, ever if it's possible, add the "quad lock screen"?
Thanks anyway!!

Ya. I think we may be able to do a tad better. It fascinates me how the demand for different features varies from device to device. Not saying that's a bad thing by any means. It's good because it spawns creativity and new ideas.

Official CyanogenMod CM10.1/CM10.2/CM11 for the Xperia ZL

Looks like yesterday (04/13/2013) the Sony Xperia ZL has been introduced into the list of CyanogenMod's officially supported devices (Wiki and CM ROM download page)!
That's some excellent news!!!

I got my ZL last week and I absolutely love it (one C6502 and one C6503. Not sure which one I'll get to keep/sell... Currently there's no 4G LTE coverage where I live in Brazil).
On 04/16/2013 I decided that I'll keep the C6503. So I unlocked its bootloader via Sony's Developer original method and then I just followed the Odin's Wiki page walkthrough for flashing CM 10.1 to my phone. It all worked out perfectly. Hint: To get into CWM recovery you have to press and release the volume up and down at the same time a few times (until the led turns purple) when you turn on the device. It took me a while to get it right. I was used to my SGS where you just have to press power+volume up to get to recovery. A lot easier in my opinion.
A little history: I've been using a Samsung Galaxy S i9000 since Feb 2011 (now running latest CM 10.1 nightly). I love it to death and now I use it as a secondary-backup-work phone (specially when I travel abroad on GSM/HSDPA only networks). If it wasn't for the CyanogenMod community (particularly Pawitp and Stratosk) my phone would've been long dead along with Gingerbread 2.3.3... $am$ung has lost my business with its unfriendly developer support and ugly-ass colored phones and UI, girly looking round phones starting with the Samsung Galaxy S 3 and 4.
Please let me know if there's something new on those pages above, if I notice something new I'll keep you guys posted!
Cheers!
For those interested, here's some of the bugs I've experienced/noticed while using latest official CM 10.1 nightly:
When my phone is locked with the screen black (locked), after I push the power button, the screen lights up, and even though I did not unlock the phone, I'm able to change volume settings by pressing the volume rocker. This should not happen unless there's a video or audio playing in the background.
***Update: his hasn't been "fixed", apparently that's the new behavior and it's going to be that way – period.
When I push the power button to unlock the phone there's a short lag until the display comes 'alive' (others have mentioned this as well).
***Update: Fixed!
When I connect the phone to my stereo Bluetooth speakers by Logitech to listen to online music through 'A Online Radio', the phone goes to sleep as it normally does after a little while. If I try to wake up the phone it will freeze. I have to press the reset button to reboot phone.
***Update: bluetooth connection has been fixed, but now there's another bug that cuts the first 2 seconds off a song when it first starts playing or whatever you skip between tracks.
Wi-Fi is switching itself off a while after the phone sleeps. Regardless of setting for being always on. I've also noticed that the Wi-Fi resets itself randomly then I wake up the phone.
***Update: fixed (apparently)
It is taking significantly longer to fully charge the battery when compared to the stock Sony ROM (original Sony's charger used). And while the phone is being used sometimes it doesn't charge at all. You can see by the graph that it is depleting the battery instead of charging it. I'll try to take a snapshot of it.
***Update: that has been fixed, but if your phone is too warm, it won't charge at all. Make sure you always use the stock charger and short cable that came with your phone.
Notification bar 'sliding brightness' feature is only working after you pass through the half right portion of the notification bar.
***Update: not fixed
Lowest level of brightness is not as dark/dim as Sony's stock ROM.
***Update: not fixed, but I've noticed that on stock firmware the automatic brightness is darker than the lowest manual brightness that we can set, so that's the same behavior apparently.
Sometimes when the I receive a call, it starts to vibrate, the phone freezes and locks up, it still remains vibrating, the screen remains black (locked), and the only way to make it work again is to press the reset button. The alarm also did this once, it behaved just like that one time.
***Update: fixed!
Battery usage seems to be a little bit higher than stock ROM. But it's hard to find the culprit there...
***Update: it has been improved but I still feel that stock (very first stock firmware) had the best battery life.
During regular phone calls the speakerphone does not work.
***Update: fixed!
While I was on a phone call tonight, I pressed the back button to get me all the way back to home screen. Then I pressed the camera button to take a photo. The camera loaded and took the photo. Immediately after that, the phone locked up with a black screen. About 5 seconds after that black screen the phone started vibrating. I had to press the reset button to reboot the phone.
***Update: fixed!
***Official July-05-2013 CM 10.1 nightly all stock.***
Yo! Looking for current CyanogenMod (CM11) development for your Sony Xperia ZL/ZQ (Odin) Changelog??? Click HERE!!!
Here's my quick overview of CM11 (Jan 13th 2014) on my Xperia ZL C6503.
I honestly think PIE Control was much better than this new, hidden virtual controls that has been implemented. This new one present on CM11 just doesn't work as intended, and I find myself pressing menus (from within an app) when I try to back out of it. I really wish someone would/could bring back PIE Controls on CM 11.
There are some other issues with Jan 13th 2014 build when it comes to functionality and some missing options/menus that were present in CM 10.1 for example.
The new camera menus are absolute crap. I can work with that, but please, someone bring back the Store on External SD card option. That's an essential feature.
The icons on default launcher are huge. What's up with that? It's all bloated and washed out... Does it look like THAT bad on a Nexus 5??? This time around I was thinking of keeping the default launcher but it looks like crap so... Any suggestions for a new launcher? I've always had Apex Pro on my previous CM installs.
The default Web Browser (I think it's called Chromium?) is performing so poorly this time around... It basically seem to have lost all of my bookmarks cause it just refuses to pull them out of the cloud like it always did since CM7 up until CM10.2. The zooming feature (double tap) just refuses to work properly. I keep on double tapping the screen and nothing happens. It's really frustrating...
I've downloaded about 11 pdf files off the internet and the system kept tabs on it as it should, but when I tried to pull down the notification bar it was performing very poorly the animation was choppy for both quick settings menu and notifications bar. Clearing the notifications history fixed this. But should this ever occur?
For some reason I'm unable to uninstall system apps with Titanium Backup or any other app.
Thank goodness DSP Manager is working properly this time around. But....
Bluetooth connection sucks. It is really really bad. It constantly cuts and skips the music playback every other 5 - 15 seconds. Is there someone looking into that? In comparison, my almost 4 year old Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 is rockin' CM 11 without this problem.
I think that this is about it. Other than that the system seems to be working properly. I can't comment on anything else since I've got CM11 running on my Xperia ZL less than 5 hours ago.
I would like to take the time to thank FXP, FreeXperia Project and the rest of the community and developers that are constantly improving and enhancing the code and the experience for all of us.

DooMLoRD! Woah! It's an absolute honor to hear from you Mr.!
I was doing some diggin' on you and FXP as well after I read on Odin's Wiki page that you were the maintainers for my new device! It's really a great pleasure having you here, taking the time to stop by to give me the heads up! Thank you!
After so many years with my Galaxy S i9000, I was really afraid of getting a phone that eventually would have no official CyanogenMod support. I'm so glad to see that my new device is now fully supported by the CM community! Heck yeah!
Phew, what a relief, man!
So, what is the difference between CyanogenMod and the FreeXperia ?
I mean FreeXperia ROM is available for the ZL since some weeks... and for my understanding it is the same!?

in my understanding this doesnt change much.
FXP was an unofficial CM build and now it's official. The quality remains.
Maybe the pros are that now the project can use official repository and download servers. And of course has more "world attention" since it's official :good:

Yup, couldn't agree more.
My biggest concern when I got the phone last week was the fear of getting it overshadowed by other major releases like the HTC ONE and the Galaxy S 4. I was afraid that the devs just wouldn't be interested in the device. But now that the device has made into the official CM10.1 ROM list, there's absolutely nothing to worry about...!

Did you erase your IMEI or something? If you deleted the "backup" folder in the root of your internal SD card it might have caused this, I don't really know if it was the case for you since I haven't had a chance (time) to flash CM 10.1 on my ZL just yet...

So today I successfully unlocked the bootloader (following Sony Developer's website walkthrough) and then loaded CWM recovery as explained at the ZL's (Odin) Wiki page.
After successfully completing both of these steps I managed to get into CWM recovery and flash CM 10.1 and rebooted my ZL.
At first everything seemed to be working properly. After the initial boot screen and device initialization, it looked like I had just gotten a brand new 5" Google Nexus phone made by Sony straight out of the box. It was absolutely brilliant.
But then, after I successfully placed a call and talked on the phone for like 2 minutes, the phone went black. None of the buttons would work. I had to open the back cover and press the reset button for the phone to work again.
After reboot, I could not place any calls again...
I'm wondering what the problem is...
Anyone?
Edit:
I wiped the phone all over again and flashed CM 10.1 one more time. After reboot and initial setup, the phone worked just fine, no problems making or receiving calls.
One big remark though: The speaker phone (loud speaker) does not work. You press the button and it does absolutely nothing. So if that is a deal breaker for you, you may want to keep your original Sony ROM rockin' for a little longer until the problem is solved.

These two issues are well documented and discussed. Seem to be common on all AOSP roms. For the GSM signal, the best thing to do would be to flash baseband only using flashtool. Or you could play around with enabling/ disabling airplane mode and see if that works for you (for me it does)
The speaker during calls doesnt work and enabling it results in complete loss of audio through both the speaker and the earpiece. To fix it just restart your phone.

The su binary is present and usable in adb. But apparently it doesn't work with the superuser app. I will fix that in beta2.
To fix superuser, see here (too lazy to copy/paste):
http://androidforums.com/spectrum-a...pure-android-caf-cm-enhanced.html#post6166676
beta2 is up.
Changes:
* Enabled Superuser daemon
* Enabled SIP/VoIP
* Included Development, CellBroadcastRecevier
So just FYI... the superuser zip is the current supersu with a modified installer that doesn't do the install-recovery hack.
I'm hoping beta2 is fairly stable and complete now. And the sources should all be synced and buildable for you ROM hax0rz.
So now it's time to start thinking about the plus version. Get your votes in for favorite features and I'll try to oblige. But I won't do anything too intrusive like halo or pie or ribbons. First up is going to be built in superuser, overclock, a density setting, custom power menu, quick toggle pull down. Other requests?

The quick toggle pull downs would be nice for sure - I've been spoiled by cyanogenmod I guess. This (beta1) rom has actually been running quite stable for me though - none of the weird lag and permanently going to sleep that I've had with CM10.2. Admittedly I haven't run it that long yet, but so far its performed quite well. Even the battery life has been good.
Trying the beta2 now.

Yes it should work. The mac address is set to a generic value but that should not affect usability, unless you have two devices in close proximity.
I'll try to fix that soon, of course. Note I believe cm10.2 has the same issue right now so maybe rmcc will beat me to it.

I know this eas a isdue with thr cm 10 but now it seriously hardware and i want to prove it to the support from lg... But how??
So do you knowa wat to test this issue?

Got the swipey keyboard figured out, did the bootanim (need to resize it, but it works), incorporated supersu, and custom dpi support (but no gui setting yet). Working on install persistence, theme support, and other things right now. I'll try to get something out to play with by tomorrow evening...
Oh, and also ...
mega_man: I'm working on an LU6200 version. Should have it done within a few days, if I can get a couple testers.
Anyone know why SU640 is not in CM10.2 yet? I can try to build it if someone wants to test.

[ROM][I317/t0lteatt][KitKat/4.4.4][UNOFFICIAL]CarbonROM[Final](11/22/2014)

I have decided to build an Unoffical build of CarbonROM specifically for the t0lteatt/Samsung Galaxy Note 2 I317. Information about CarbonROM can be found in the official thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2640030 or at the CarbonROM website at https://carbonrom.org/. This is just a build from the official source at https://github.com/CarbonDev with a few of my own edits to allow it to build for the t0lteatt device tree. If you have any questions, or issues, please post them here, or try the official build available at the CarbonROM website at https://carbonrom.org/downloads/?d=t0lte/nightly. I am not a developer or maintainer, but I will try to assist you with any errors you may encounter.
I would just like to say thank you to Team Carbon for developing such a great ROM, everyone who have contributed to the project, and all other great projects which may have a part in making the ROM what it is.
Flashing instructions:
Download both the ROM and a GAPPs (I use PA Gapps, but other GAPPs such as Slim Gapps will likely work as well)
Reboot into recovery.
Full wipe: Wipe cache, dalvik, wipe data/factory reset, clean to install a new rom.
Flash ROM and GAPPs.
Reboot into system.
Enjoy your new Carbon experience.

I haven't been able to find any definitive reports of problems with flashing from TWRP 2.8. I use Philz and haven't had any issues with flashing this, or any other ROM. Have you had this issue with any other ROM? Have you tried flashing the official t0lte CarbonROM? My only other thought, right off hand, is to try a different recovery, but I know that isn't always such a good option. I'll keep an eye out for a solution and I'll let ya know if I find anything. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

This ROM is fantastic! On the official builds any theme would cause my System UI to crash multiple times, but not this one!
If you're looking for any requests/suggestions, I have a few:
-Search in Settings
-Disable Menu and Back button haptic feedback when they are disabled (I like it on the navigation bar)
-The battery icon doesn't seem to want to work with Tinted Status Bar Fix: Use Flat Style Colored Bars
-Apps like Reddit Sync don't take account for the navbar, and have the comments behind it, keeping me from reading/interacting
I think that's it! Thank you so, so, much for getting me a great daily driver!
I cant remember if it has an option or not but the ringtone only rings once then vibrated till i pick up i want it to ring always is there and option

Carbon source bug I believe...
Try downloading a ringtone of your choice using zedge...or any other free ringtone app....then set your new tone under settings...
That should fix you up...
I usually delete the on board tones anyway...since most of the choices are rather plain to me...
Good luck....g

Looks like this may be a one off build. Team Carbon is currently working on porting Lollipop to their various devices, so they've put a code freeze on any KitKat commits other than bug fixes. Only 4 merges were made prior to the code freeze, but these merges don't seem to be overly important for our devices, so they'd likely not be noticeable even if a new build was made. Also, there are reports that subsequent changes to repositories may have broke the build for KitKat, at this time, anyways (I can probably fix this in my build, if necessary). I'll keep an eye on gerrit for any useful bug fixes being merged, but until that happens (if it happens), I'll likely not do anymore builds for KitKat.
Have a good one!
I guess I was wrong about a one off... My final unofficial build of CarbonROM has been uploaded. Admittedly, this build is a minimal update and you may not notice any obvious changes, but there may be some changes behind the scenes that may correct an obscure issue, or not. As always, if you have any issues from a dirty flash, please try a clean flash before asking for help. Thank you.

It would appear that this is supposed to be a "feature" included by Google. In order to remove the "feature", Google's devs would need to decide to remove it. There's been a fair few theories on how to disable the "feature", but none of them seem to actually work, so it would seem if we decide to continue using Chrome, we'll have to deal with it for now.

It would appear that this is supposed to be a "feature" included by Google. In order to remove the "feature", Google's devs would need to decide to remove it. I just used xfloatingwindows from xposed and black listed chrome and it seemed to work. One more question and I think I've got everything all set. At first I set an app to open when I swipe it left in the notification panel. How do I disable that feature? Overall this ROM is pretty damn smooth, I like it a lot
Been searching and would like to potentially give this ROM a try. Can't find out or not, does this have heads up notifications?

Just installed, so far so good. Running quite nicely. Going to watch for how my battery life is, but otherwise really liking it.
One quick question, is there an advanced reboot menu on the power menu, to allow for rebooting normally or into recovery?
