[Q] Problems with gapps or rom. - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed miui buzz beta 7(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1593059) and the flashed gapps but when i reboot i cant find any of gapps apk.
Can somebody help me with this problem?

Can you access the market (Play Store)?
Anyway, when you flash the Gapps..... after rebooting, you will be provided all Google apps list in market. You need to select and install the required apps.

you must log into your google account in settings accounts

gapps succesfully installed, can't find google play
As described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S/GT-I9001 I installed quickflasher Quickflasher from broodplank (i9001_Quick_Flasher_v1.4.rar) and used this image: recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.zip. I Wiped data/factory reset and did Wipe Cache partition. However I did not have the option Advanced > Wipe dalvik cache in CWN recovery.I was able to succesfully install CyanogenMod 9 ALPHA (Build 4) with update-cm-9-20120606-SNAPSHOT-ariesve-alpha4-signed.zip. Then I succesfully installed gapps package gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip with MD5SUM: 7c524e1e078164f681e0aa6753180b2c.
However after reboot I expected to see Google Play on the home screen or between the installed applications. What did I do wrong?

I need help I can't get the Google apps to work with 6.1. I wipe data and both cache's and flash rom then I flashed gapps when phone starts no Google apps are there so I manually. Install the apk. And all I get is loop back to home or Fc. I downloaded the correct. Zip for the evo off the wiki please help flash other roms with no issues. Gmail opens but can't find server market app just loops to home screen
Make sure you are using the following gapps:
12/11/10 GAPPS
I'm not sure which one you used, but it may be outdated.
Do the following:
1) Wipe data and cache from your phone via recovery.
2) Flash and boot a rooted stock ROM.
3) Wipe data and cache from your phone via recovery.
4) Flash CM 6.1 from recovery.
5) Flash HDPI Gapps 12/11 from recovery.
6) Boot, wait for home screen.
7) If you have problems, run this command:
Code:
adb logcat > %userprofile%\Desktop\logcat.txt
and post the text file to pastebin.com, and then link it to us here.

[Q] Google play not working on rooted KF with ICS

Ok, so I rooted my KF and then installed ICS. I then proceeded to side load Google Play, and Google services framework. But my problem happens when I try to open play it says "Android system has stopped." if i hit "ok" play stays open and proceeds to say "Loading..." and then never loads. HELP!!!!!
THnx!
did you flash a gapps package?
---------- Post added at 01:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:33 PM ----------
and there is no need to sideload anything wipe good reflash this time with gapps.
Heres a gapp package http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
Wipe factory/ data wipe cache wipe dalvik not a bad idea to wipe system when coming from stock JUST DONT REBOOT YOU HAVE NO SYSTEM!!!!! Flash rom let it finish flash gapps then reboot if needed select system wait for load takes a bit when done sign into google account enjoy.
Just download Google Play 6.5.19 and put it on your Kindle. Then install it with a file explorer. Then reboot. It should work. If not, do what I had to do: Move Google Play to System>App and then change the permissions to rw-r-r i think.(First one is read and write, the other two are write.) Install, reboot, reinstall(the System<App one) and it should work.
Thank me if I helped you

Boot forever black screen (help?)

I have a rooted stock kf, and everything was fine until I installed the app "google market fix" [Not a good idea:] Now the logo flashes for a second and the screen is blacklit forever. I have access to TWRP, what do I do? (I'm not sure what flashing is? Can I just wipe everything then run the KF utility?)

this is what I would do go here http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/dow...gned-MD5-569fe6550cfcfba68dabc3d088324a46.zip download this mount your sd card in twrp transfer this rom file to your sd card then unmount go to wipe wipe factory reset wipe cache wipe dalvik go to install install rom when finished reboot and your set
Boot into TWRP, then connect the Fire to a Computer as an external drive.
Then you can copy over a ROM of your liking, backup the fire, wipe the fire, install the ROM and reboot fresh.
After you have the custom ROM working, you can get to installing back the stock ROM using Amazon Software update.

Collision of recovery issues

Hi,
After flashing CM10 successfully, I apparently flashed the wrong GAPPS zip, so I got the endless "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped" loop, through which I can only access the time functions using the dropdown.
I tried re-wiping and reflashing, but that apparently just leads to the 0/0/0 nesting issue, and doesn't seem to actually wipe/reflash.
"adb devices" only reads when I'm in recovery mode, and doesn't appear to accomplish anything.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks,
Erik
1) Flash the latest CWM or TWRP via fastboot to avoid further "0 folder" issues
2) Go into the recovery
3) Do a full wipe (system, cache, dalvik)
4) Flash the CM10 ROM again or any other ROM you already have on your sdcard and ready to be flashed
5) Flash the correct Gapps if you already have it on your sdcard, or just reboot into the CM10 then download the correct Gapps to flash later via Goo Manager app which finds the correct version of Gapps automatically.
Hope this works

GApps on CM12.1

Hi, can someone tell me which GApps install on Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9195 with CM12.1. I have tried a lot of GApps and none of them seem to work, everytime I reboot I get a message saying "Google Play Services has stopped working".
If I do a fresh install formatting /system and only install CM12.1 everything works just fine. But always GApps crash my phone. I don't know what to do. Please help me.
Hi,
I have almost (unfortunately google partner setup has stopped) the same error today after flashed clean snapshot but i resolved with this method:
Empty the Cache of the system app Google Play services
Navigate in the following submenu:
Menu --> Settings --> Applications --> Application Manager --> tab "All"
Search here for the entry "Google Play services". Tap it once to display detailed information about this app on the screen of your smartphone. In this window, you will now find a button with "Clear Cache". Tap on the button, so that the cache is flushed. Then restart your Android smartphone.

I've always used GApps recommended by the developer, in this case i used this:
Open GApps CyanogenMod - use Mini, Micro, Nano or Pico it your choice what app you want installed directly.
Good luck
Hi,
I've got just this problem, following on from upgrading from CM11 (long-time user of this) to CM12.1. I've found huge numbers of posts, both here and elsewhere, with people experiencing GApps crashing constantly on start-up with CM12.1. Most of the responses recommend different sources of GApps, or different orders in which things should be wiped/formatted and then installed, etc. I have tried cm-12.1-20151007-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO336-serranoltexx.zip and cm-12.1-20151008-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO34N-serranoltexx.zip. I've tried gapps-L-5-1-15, gapps-5.1-arm-2015-07-17-13-29, open_gapps-arm-5.1-mini-20151018, Slim_mini_gapps.BETA.5.1.build.0.x-20151016, tk_gapps-modular-mini-5.1.1-20151004-signed. I've done a full format of /system on each re-install, plus formats of /data, /cache, Dalvik cache (both before and after installs of CM12.1 and various GApps). No matter what, I always have the problem of all GApps crashing continuously as soon as the phone boots.
I'm absolutely stuck. I'm all googled-out. If anyone can offer any more things for me to try in order to get GApps installed and working under CM12.1 on my i9195, I'd be really grateful.
UPDATE
________________________________________
Problem fixed! The issue was CWM Recovery. I had v6.0.3.something (I think) installed from quite some time ago. I found a post where someone stated this was the cause of the GApps installation problem. I replaced it with twrp-2.8.6.0-serranoltexx-f2fs (not easy, since my Linux laptop didn't want to see the phone in fastboot mode - eventually had to boot up a Win7 machine and install Odin v3.09). From there I was able to wipe everything, install cm-12.1-20151008-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO34N-serranoltexx and gapps-L-5-1-15, and then everything worked!
I have no idea why one recovery image would work and the other wouldn't. I'd have thought installing a zip was not something that could go wrong. Clearly not!
Hope someone finds this info helpful.
