if the hboot is still stock then running the RUU may solve this problem
Can you go into recovery? have you made any backup?

He got the phone like that off a friend. I dont think hes worried about a backup lol. Pull the battery out and put back in then hold volume down + hold power button down for bout 3-4 seconds and a menu will come up then say if your s-on/ s-off etc etc. Bortak's guide covers this anyway, think its numer [4] in the guide.

posting as much info as much you can, post the screen when you unplug usb cable, mostly hboot version, s-on/off etc
running CORRECT RUU or 2.3.3 RUU from htcdev.com(some risk involved) may sort it...

no, nothing happens
what error does 2.29 WWE RUU give you?
No, you need S-OFF only for advanced playing with your device. A normal, so called stock device should work with S-ON.
What does happen, when you try to install the RUU? What king of OS do you use? Is there a error message? Did you ever try to access an android via adb or fastboot?
I had this problem. Use a PB99IMG.zip file, extract it and fastboot flash the hboot, the reboot-bootloader,then flash system.img and boot.img (in that order). Then fastboot oem boot and if it boots execute the android 2.3 upgrade zip from htcdev.com
Let us know if you repair it....

The last stage I reach was n0.7
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it
Firstly, I'd recommend using unrevoked to root the phone. The way you are using is old and complicated.
Secondly, i imagine that your hboot is not 0.8 which means you'll need to downgrade.
It might be http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=750852 that you need to read and follow, although I'm not sure.
It would help if you knew what hboot you were.

This is crap
The RUU itself can't put into bootloader?
If you want to try unrevoked, this is the post you need:
Q. My screen goes blank when I use custom recovery with unrevoked3.
A. You have an SLCD display and will need to use an updated recovery image until unrevoked3 itself is updated. It is safe to use this updated image on AMOLED screens too. You can download the image here: http://crop.floodbit.org/~defer/recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-bravo-slcd.img
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=749551 - has everything about slcd rtc
The main problem is my screen is black and I cant see anything although windows is still detecting device
Instead of the RUU, try giving unrevoked a whirl with that custom recovery image (make sure phone is unplugged whilst started unrevoked). Also, follow the instructions from unrevoked about installing the htc drivers (unless you have already installed the latest htc drivers).
Battery pull, then turn on whilst holding volume down. Hopefully this will give you bootloader and unrevoked should be able to do its magic (if you select that custom recovery image)
This will give you root.

1. Choose desire then download.
2. Follow instructions in hboot driver.html (to make sure your phone is recognised correctly)
3. Run reflash.exe
4. File>Custom Recovery (Ctrl+R)
5. Download and select http://crop.floodbit.org/~defer/recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-bravo-slcd.img
6. Plug in desire - hopefully you have USB debugging enabled. If not, I think you can achieve root by loading bootloader yourself (battery pull device and then vol down + power)

I done everything but still dont understand what to do with this recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-bravo-slcd.img
the drivers were installed correctly and my computer can see my device,
But still no luck I think I'm missing something I cant see anything on my screen, I know the device alive as I can hear the atrt up sound and compuer now detect in device manager
This is what hapens when I try to attempt flashing with official ruu
Ok unplug the desire from the pc then battery pull and then hold volume-down (on left hand side of the phone) and then press power (whilst holding volume-down). Then plug in and run the RUU again.
With that recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-bravo-slcd.img, you select it in unrevoked by pressing ctrl + r (on windows) and then just connect your desire.
Do the RUU first

I have a special situation here.. I rooted my phone then S-OFF.. Then i want to return to stock so i downloaded RUU_Bravo_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.19.707.7_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126179_signed.exe to flash back... Now i think my phone is dead.. When i press the Power Button, it only vibrate and the phone wont turn on.. Anyone can help with this situation? T.T It's an Asia Desire..
You probably SLCD bricked it. Do you hear the annoying boot sound that the phone makes? If so you SLCD bricked it for sure. Did you make a goldcard?

Ya. Mine is SLCD. I didn't hear anything.. It just vibrate once.. Do i need goldcard for generic Desire?
Is it a generic unbranded desire? If so, take the battery out to completely turn it off. Put the battery back in and boot into fastboot by holding back + Power for a few seconds. It probably won't react or vibrate but you probably will be there. Connect it to your PC. Now download 1.21 WWE RUU(See the sticky in android development section) and run it on a windows PC.
You probably want to flash the newer 2.13.707.1 RUU. That's the stock Froyo ROM for hTC_Asia_WWE. Shipped-roms.com has a copy.

Hello,
i flashed my hboot back from ogxygen to default hboot, after
reboot i just saw a black screen. The leds are blinking green and orange if i put out the battery and if i insert it, the leds are orange.
If i start the desire the leds are not showing something and its still blackscreen. How i can repair it? =(
sry for bad english
i'm no expert but have you tried going in to the Bootload menu (power off phone, hold down the back button and power on holding both button down unlit phone starts up)?
Then if you can get in to the Bootloader screen you can then try to go to Recovery option or flash from your PC using ADB.
Have you made a NAND back up before you flashed your Hboot?
Yes i already did, but always blackscreen not vibrating or something like that
no i dont have a nand backup, why i need 1? someone could give me a link?
or make a backup and upload it?
if you connect phone to pc , is it recognized by PC?
if yes try to run an official RUU from shipped roms.

It is a bit late but check the md5 of the hboot you flashed, if it does not match I think you are pretty screwed otherwise it probably is still fixable.

i don't think you can, you have to take it back for repair.
or you can find someone with jtagbox.http://www.jtagbox.com/jtag-news/riff-jtag-htc-desire-unlock-unbrick-imei-repair-supported/
will they repair my desire if i send it back? cause its flashed
It depends on how much they can see from it.

ähm... what they will do after repair when they see thats my desire is flashed?
If they find out that it was a rooted desire or that you caused the fault, they are happy to repair it but they will charge you big time. Somewhere around here someone named 200 euro i think. But you might get lucky and they repair it cost free, has also happened before.
What you have is the slcd desire brick. Follow the thread in my signature with the ruu for your region- how to unroot the desire.

If you are S-Off and want to return to S-On...
1. Enable USB Debuging on your phone
2. Visit this page http://alpharev.nl/ and scroll down to the table
3. Download the ‘Bravo Downgrader: PB99IMG_downgrade’
4. Rename ‘PB99IMG_downgrade’ to ‘PB99IMG’
5. Transfer ‘PB99IMG’ to the root directory of your phones SD card
6 Make sure you have no similar files at the root of your SD
7 On 2.3.3 make sure you disable ‘Fastboot’ goto - Settings - Applications – Disable Fastboot
8 Power down your phone
9 Whilst holding ‘Volume Down’ button press the ‘Power’ button
10 The bootloader screen should appear. Give it a minute to scan for the file and it will ask you if you want to go ahead with the installation, ‘Volume Up’ to select ‘yes’
11 Now you can flash your RUU stock ROM

(Btw If u are s-on just flash a stock rom, if s-off maybe u could flash some stock hboot, extracting it from a similar ruu...just to make ur phone appear stock and hope)
People should first learn how come back to stock, then starting rooting..

I don't have to send it to HTC I must send it to my carrier or take it into my carrier store.

I'm with a regional carrier called Cellular South.
If I remember correctly, on xda (or a similar forum) exists a guide how to return us cellular back to stock. Just search a little for it.
