samsung infuse 4g reported.

So i bought a samsung infuse not so long ago but today i lost it i looked everywere and didnt find it so i called and reported the phone lost/stolen and order a new one trew the insurance they charged 125$! which at the moment i dont have!
anyways, rite now i found out that my little brother took the phone! and now its just a brick that stays at the samsung screen is there anyway i can bring that thing back to life and use it to pay the 125 debt im in please im stressing -_-.
im very tech savy and stuff so i can follow steps please help. i know i can probably sell it for parts but mightcas well get alittle profit from it if its not a brick.... =[

I once had lost my phone in the forest out behind my house. I reported it stolen / lost and didn't deal with it after that.
Fast forward to about 4 months later, my friends and I are out there and I find it again. Replaced the battery and it booted right up. I called my phone company and they were more than happy to unlock it for me and it was not considered stolen anymore.
Have you tried just calling them and asking them to take it off the list? It worked for me, it could work for you too.

I did a funny think. I choose elgiganten [email protected] It didnt work until the release on 2 april. And then it was all about being able to go a distance. They had it in uppsala so i went stockholm to uppsala and got mine. Unfortunatly i got a used one that someone else had opened so i returned it and got a new one just 20 minutes later :=). So now im almost happy. Just one thing, i dont understand, i cant se 1.26 anywhere on my phone. Only 1.20. sumthing on the software version.

Got my for four days ago . Dont like the phone AT ALL . Hate it. So many problems with the screen and the phone. Many agry users have reported this . See for yourself at Swedroid.se/forum

To bad you feel that way. I'm perfactly happy with my phone. It's just plain awsomeness!
And I'm the picky kind of guy but I too had problems with my first device which I turned in and got replaced. But my new one? Just sweet!
On topic I do not think the mailservice work during earster no :/

I got my replaced but its the same problem with the new one aswell. Will take contact with HTC after the easter! Will use my SGS I9000 so long till it's been solved That phone is a phone you can trust on in any weather

Seriosly why do I se software version as 1.20... Anyone else in Sweden have this?.. I just saw a screenshot that showed 1.26.. and that is standard.and I don't se any uppdates avalible for my phone.
Also does everyone get a android is upgrading on restart. It says optimizing application x of y... Like it goes through all my apps n optimezes them everytime I restart my phone..

EDIT:
I went back to elgiganten. Apparently i had gotten a review version. Just changed it. I just showed them that if i tick the usb debugging mode it crasches so i got a doa. They where like no we have to send it to service but i showed him that i have only had it for so few days and i cant work with a phone that hangs all the time. So he changed it. No probs :=)

For people who hardbricked a phone before and took it to the service centre...
Did they believe your lies?
Are the guys at the centres true geeks that know everything about it or not?
Did you get a new phone?
Did they find out what you really did?
Did you have to pay after all?
Just wanna hear some stories, this kinda stories are always funny. :laugh:

I had mine bricked and asked for the nearest service centre.. (6h drive from here)..so it was a no no...
so I sent my phone through the mail...they couldnt figure out why it wasnt working so they gave me a new phone
with the new phone also came a list of things NOT to do with the phone
like messing with firmware blablabla that it would void the warranty
I guess they probably had a feeling that I bricked the phone but couldnt tell?
I also put the phone sitting on a magnet so it would actually damage it before I sent it in
so even if they would try to jtag it at the service centre to find out the problem it would never work..
The only thing I had to pay was to send the phone to them...

My gio never bricked, but my friend's wonder did. Go to service center and they accept it without any money charge.

i bricked my gio and i took it to the mtn service center and lied to the clerk that i found it like that .i had too wait awhile but when i fetched it i was told that the whole board was changed .btw all free of charge butt i have it on a contract

My fifth day of owning my gio I made the fatal mistake of using ROM manager. So I returned it to the store saying it would not turn on.
He asked me "did it shut off when you were using it?" I answered yes, and it was not a lie because he didn't know what kind of "use" it was, so he sent it for repairs and two weeks after, I got it back free off charge with a new motherboard.

[Q] My phone got stolen/lost.

Ok first of all i know that there are a lot of similar topics like i am making one right now. I've looked on each and every one of them but i still want to give it a try asking you guys for help. ( you guys may call me stupid after you read it)
So i was waiting for my bus after college, i had my headphones plugged in and phone(GALAXY GRAND DUOS) in my front pocket of my jeans, well the bus was kinda crowded so i hopped in, and i paused the music so i am not distracted at all. Well after i was able to find a place to stand and pushed my hand in my pocket, BAM!!. [/B]PHONE GONE!.. i asked people around to call my number but it was just ringing, I had put it in vibrator mode plus the battery was too low also.. So i got out of bus and tried to call my number borrowing phones from others.. It said its not reachable... AND THE BIGGEST BLUNDER I DID IS THAT I DIDN'T INSTALL ANY TRACKING APP ON MY PHONE..
is there any possible chance to track it via my imei number? I have pushed the app android lost on it but its still not registered, probably because my phone is still switched off or that guy has probably ****ed it up somehow. Or any other reason which you guys might know since u are more knowledgeable about the possibilities.
Please let me know if i can do something, report to the police? uhh.. i am messed up !!

i went to the police station today, they took my imei number and told me they will try tracking it, it may take 1 day,1 week or even a month, But can't assure that they'll get it back. :/ I guess its a goodbye to my phone.

Note 2 not allowing network

I cant connect to the network on straight talk , not sure why , it does allow , wifi and I rooted it , wouldnt ever connect , guess Ill be going back to the Note (if it can be transferred back!) If not I wont have a fone a for a few days I guess! it isnt apn setting either , I tried my wifes sim it wouldnt work either (she has an s3 ) , not sure why this isnt working , iVE BEEN STOPPED TWICE NOW FROM TRYING TO GET A NOTE 2, HOPEFULLY SOMEONE CAN ME , otherwise I may resort to an s2 I have im getting pissed!

Tried resttting back to the begining , now phone stops at samsung galaxy note II screen , I still have TWRP though , can get in there , still have skynote rom , but not sure if its all there as it asks for me to install susper su , then phone doesnt reboot , so im gonna try to add a different rom by downloading it to an sd card and then putting in twrp to flash , but who knows what will happen gonna be awhile , sucks not having a fone , but I guess I need to learn more!terrible time for this too and my marriage is about to fall apart as well , really pissed !

I'd check that the IMEI isn't blacklisted... And remember, deliberately altering it to something else might be a felony. (That was being discussed a few months ago, don't know what came of it.)

Ok after redoing the Note 2 to stock unrooted and bringing it back to root with a rom , no dice , I decided to call straight talk back again , this time instead of talking to someone from south america i got a guy from India , you could babrely hear him (i think thats what customer service does on purpose) , anyway we finally figured out what was wrong (after he tried to tell me the sim card wasnt any good that I just bought and recieved from his company , when I was transferring the sim , from sim to micro sim , they didnt transfer my service! So I didnt get bars or anything , makes sense , well now I have to wait until tomorrow night , same time , find out whether there rock scientists can change this , because his computer didnt have the priveldges to do it !
Straight Talk is from Florida but to be cheap like every other american company they go to india and places like that to do customer service , nothing against India we got some great devs in here from there , but if I live in India and they sent me to some dip**** from New York for help Id be pissed because I couldnt understand the guy!

Have you checked your APN to see if its on strait talk APN and not att or something else?

Not the APN , they didnt transfer my service plan when they transferred the sim card and number ! W'ell see tonight if it actually changes over or not ! Not sure why it takes 24 hours but whatever ! Anyway , I have found it most enjoyable learning so much about this device ! When this happened I spazzed out trying to figure out if the phone was messed up , I went into recovery (twrp) and wiped away , no luck , did a factory reset , nothing , went back t twrp (oops I wiped my backup , oh well) , decided to start fresh , now it wouldnt get past the NOTE 2 screen , no fear , got it into download mode and went back and got the original firmware , then back square one , no dice , ok root again , custom recovery , new rom , bam!!! nothing , back unrooted and thats when it occurred to me , the service plan didnt transfer over ! Oh well and of course while they messed up my plan they were to put it back on the OG Note and they didnt do it either! So dont have a phone now ! But I relearned ALL THIS STUFF YOU USUALLY FORGET! And got some pretty cool toolkits in the process!
One thing Ive found out over the years when it looks like your defeated try something else , even if it kills the warranty , just try it and hell remember exactly what you have before you brick it , good thing theres XDA , because BRICK isnt bad word in here , its a learning experience!

Yeah, I was going to suggest that you check to see if the sim card was correctly privisioned but you and CS already got it.

well still wont know until about 930 tonight whether they can get it fixed!
