Someone should make an app that cycles through a bunch of colors when there is an incoming call I wish I could do it! Just thought it would be cool

It doesn't cycle colors does it?
no it doesn't. and there is no option for when there is an incoming call
i used an app called led disco for my sms notifications and it worked, sadly it didnt work well enough, you can still test the function though and it is pretty cool.

Sent via a butterfly wing flap generated program. As its delicate wings flap once, disturbances ripple outward, changing the flow of the eddy currents in the upper atmosphere. This causes momentary pockets of high pressure which act as lenses, deflecting cosmic rays, focusing them to strike the drive platter and flip the desired bit. That's how real programmers do it.
It's a pretty cool idea!

Does the lack of resolution bother anyone else? Dont get me wrong, the GS phones have amazing screens and beautiful colors, and was happy to move to the E4GT from the Evo, but the jaggies are killing me!
I've viewed two other phones, and all three have been about the same. It is definitely something that most people wouldn't complain about but i know there's got to be others that share my disdain.
Edge of icons, subtle shading, and the very noticeable grid pattern on a mid-gray screen are what catch my eye.
This wasn't meant to be a rant, just wanted to see if anyone else notices what seems to have been corners cut by stretching this screen over the international version.
Comments, hate mail, patches/fixes are all welcome. lol

Changing the density doesn't fix it, may make it less apparent, but its still there.
Is there a technical reason the pixel grid is so noticeable?

I don't see any pixelation some people are complaining about. Most people zoom in to make images bigger on these phones anyways but I don't have to do that with this phone because of it's screen size.

who is the idiot who could render such a beautiful device (ics keys as capacitive at bottom) yet the app drawer icon looks like poo? i JUST learned cs4 2 weeks ago and i coulda done better with the icon...
Ok let's just say it is fake... But what if Samsung decides to make the ics buttons into capacitive buttons and not built in to the screen like the nexus? From my understanding they always **** up Android to their liking so I wouldn't put it past them. I'm sure (to them) anything is better to differentiate them from the rest.

I'm not a big fan of the on screen buttons anyway so I wouldn't mind that.
As the title states lets see what is important to us. You can only pick one thing, that's the point. I know we kinda like the whole package but that's too easy.
Edit:
If the Soft Nav Buttons are your thing pick ICS Flagship.

There's a bunch. Love the shape. Love the screen, faults and all. But for me, it's a Nexus and the flagship for the OS that puts Android--in my opinion--over the top.
GNex looks sexy

The resolution by far.
Looking at any other phone looks silly in-comparison for the sheer lack-luster resolution alone.
being able to screen grab without needing to root the device. I guess that would be flagship ICS right?

The camera? Me thinks the camera on the SGN is very laggy and hard to use. I've have two SGNs and on both the camera makes is a classic "blurrycam."
I think my Blackberry Bold had a better camera.

Check out the Pics thread a couple slots down. People can take some amazing pictures with this camera if you know what you are doing.
It was a touch choice, but I picked ICS Flagship. I chose the Nexus because I liked that while my phone will fall behind hardware wise in a few months, the software will always stay current. After the T-Mobile/Vibrant fiasco, this was really important.
The screen is a very close second. I love AMOLED and the size of the screen. Also like the warm color tone. Reading with the Kindle app and in night mode is really easy on the eyes.

It isn't a 'plus' display. It's an HD Super AMOLED. 'Plus' displays have an RGB matrix, while our phone has a PenTile matrix.
That being said, the screen is probably my favorite feature. The sheer resolution is amazing.
Has anyone noticed that some pebble blue Galaxy S III's capacitive buttons are dim? I was looking at my friends Pebble Blue S3 to get S-Beam to work and I noticed his buttons were very bright and noticeable. I then looked at mine and it was ridiculous how dim mine were compared to his! Has anyone noticed that with theirs?

I've decided to do the same. That was one of my only gripes, realized the phone looks so much better now with them off. Cm and TW offer. JellyBean TW has them off at all times unless you use them, but they wont turn on when you touch the screen which is nice but overall off is better.

It's not a big grippe though, like everyone else in this thread, I keep mine off.

Hi guys,
I decided that some things could be improved on the machine.
Turned out that my new idea was a complete FAIL.
So I wen't back to the drawingboard and this is what I came up with
It uses much less parts (again). And it's way more compact.
It's not that modular anymore, but who cares. It will now fit in a bag easily anyway.
See it in action in the vid below and check out the pics for some details.
Pics of the old builds are kept for comparison

edit: The compass is acting up I think. I can't get it to take good photspheres. Really strange. Anyone has experience with this?
It's rotating towards the blue dot while it's not moving, as if it's dizzy
Build 3 was panning too slow so had too speed it up a bit.
For some strange reason it got dizzy when moving too slow
