What languages are you interested in? It seems that yakju has all the same languages as any of it's variants. Finnish language is definitely there as well as many other European languages.

Are we talking about UI language or dictionary?
I was hoping to see a Danish dictionary in the yakjuxw update.
Believe Im running yakju Build IMM76I
I don't have Danish Dictionary in my 4.0.4 :-( Doesn't matter though as I bought Swiftkey X which is like a million times better than stock keyboard and predictions. Nice feature that it can support up to 3 dictionaries at any one time.
Mine works just perfectly, no need for more dictionary this is enough for me.

Hi i am in the uk and i have flashed the 4.0.4 in cwm rooted. I was looking in the build prop and it says something like this
ro.product.locale. language=EN
ro.product.locale. region=US
Iam just curious about the region part because iam in uk, should the region be like that? If anyone in uk on 4.0.2 would check i would be very great full.

That's just the default locale as far as I know. No reason to change it as you can change your locale in Android at any time.
I may be a language nerd but I've noticed that the official ICS upgrade for the T959D has an American English UI in error. The UI was correctly in Canadian English in Gingerbread. I've confirmed my language setting is English (Canada) but I'm getting 'Favorites' instead of 'Favourites' and 'Dialing' instead of 'Dialling' and other misspellings.
Am I alone? How would someone report this bug to Samsung?
I'm guessing you're talking about the T989D and not the T959D? I know that I remember seeing the Dialling one when I was on stock Touchwiz, but I can't confirm for the Favorites/Favourites, I'll be flashing the new Telus Darkside, I'll report back.
I'm pretty sure there is a sticky in the General Forum to show you how to report bugs straight to Samsung.
That is not our phone... This forum is for the T- Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 T989. I'm not sure what you are asking.

Or should i give up and flash yakju ?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Give up.
It takes a long time to get JB 4.2.1 for Yakjuxw (more than 3 months, like always...) So that's why I use Takju on my Nexus to get latest Android update.
Will flashing takju/yakju change anything on my phone such as writing languages or operator support?

While working through the thread would serve you well & help give you a foundation going forward the flash all bat will work as long as you have the fastboot drivers set up.

The hardware on all GSM Galaxy Nexii(?) is the same. The yakju / takju builds are the build that are directly maintained by Google. There are a variety of yakjuxx builds that are maintained by Samsung.
Couple of colleagues of mine using yakjuxw handsets just received the OTA update for 4.2.1. It would seem the update is finally rolling out here in India.
i live in Norway and i've recieved OTA 4.2.1 today. It's about the f......g time
Ok so i've combed trough the forums to try to find an answer but so far got nothing conclusive so i would appreciate if anyone know anything about..
I've got a Gnex stock rom 4.2.1 yakjuxw (both in Portugal, sim free brand new more than a year ago) never rooted and so far i got no 4.3 OTA update...
So my question is, did anyone receive the OTA in Portugal and/or Spain? iv'e read a that lot of people "stuffed" the other versions firmware by "hand" but i would like to know if Samsung is updating officially this devices in Europe before i do any mod on it.
thks.
So... nobody can help?

Ok guys thks for the info.
mrgnes i've read somewhere that the Takju version does not support GSM version.. is this accurate?
The codename takju was given for the phones sold through the play store.and yakju for the phones sold internationally. Both of them support gsm.
